Many, many moons ago, while working a high stress, low paying government position in the area,; I used to come here for lunch every nearly every day with coworkers and my supervisor. It was a little pricey, but you couldn't beat those big slices of warm pizza and the salad bar to go, not to mention the dessert. Not only was a a customer during their lunch hour, but I was also a customer that shopped for groceries there. The bakery was my favorite with the iced sugar cookies winning hands-down. The last time I was here was with my son in 2014 to get those sugar cookies mentioned above. So imagine my surprise when I am aggressively approached by two men, who I've never seen before in my life, but clearly work there, telling me that I've been trespassed from that store before and that I need to leave. I am utterly flabbergasted, floored, speechless. At this point, I had a basket full of groceries and I was waiting to be served at the bakery. Just like every other law abiding citizen, I ask what is going on and what are they talking about. Now, I am a relatively young female, unaccompanied in the store with a pretty severe case of CPTSD. Now, of course I do not expect these men to know this but grabbing my purse and other bagged items that I previously purchased, shoving them aggressively into the sides of my arms and shoulders all while saying things like " you know who you are" that I "have been trespassed here before" (untrue) they "have a right to refuse service and don't have to tell me anything" and I "know what I have done" and they "know what I am up to." while literally surrounding me and physically grabbing my car and shoving my things at me. Needless to say, I was severely triggered. In fact, they didn't even give me all of my stuff from my basket actually, maybe they did; I'm so traumatized by the whole thing that I don't even know. What I do know is that I've never stolen anything from AJ's in my entire life. I'm not a thief. In fact I won't even steal refills from Circle K because I feel like they will know. I have no idea who they have mistaken me for, perhaps no one . It would not surprise me if they just made some kind of judgment based off of my appearance. Never have I ever been in a situation like this before but I wanted to let everyone know how they treat people with zero explanation. H de my body tr free have a basket full of and I'm waiting to be served at the bakery. Two gentlemen aggressively approached me and tell me that I'm trespassed from their store and that I need to leave.

I like coming here to get all different kinds of Middle Eastern style breads which include pita, lavash and tanour bread. There is so many to choose from! This time also I was able to get some za'atar brioches and oh my goodness, I had these for breakfast this morning and they were delicious! I also like to get things here where I can't find elsewhere so I got some pomegranate juice, and some roasted chick pea snacks. They have quite a selection of spices here and I also picked up some roasted sesame. Lots of nuts to choose, and plenty of Middle Eastern/Arabic sweets and desserts available. They also sell hookah supplies here (not a fan - really bad for you). I hadn't been to this location in awhile and I miss that the inside restaurant is no longer open. I liked to get some of the ready made dips and sandwiches here. Bummer. Towards the back, lots of fresh sweets for sale including all kinds of baklava and there is also fresh olives for sale also! Fresh, halal meat available and also some meat that's been marinated and ready to cook. Fresh cheeses also available. I think I like the Mesa location better as I can get spinach and za'atar pies there and the fresh produce selection is better. And also you can get hummus, babaghanoush and other dips at the other location. Overall, I would say that these Baiz grocery stores are my happy place. It brings me back to a sweet and memorable time. It's worth a visit to check out all the unique items here and their pita and breads are fresh, tasty and well priced!

So much good stuff that's unbelievably, affordably priced! What I love: *Produce prices - .69 cents for a bunch of mint; Yes please *Buy by the pound: kalamata olives, three kinds of feta (Bulgarian, Danish, Greek), labneh (creamy Greek yogurt) *Butcher dept w/ anything & everything including those lamb tongues (in photo) - not something I'd eat but each to their own *Pastry dept - they must have about THIRTY different kinds of pastries from pistachio & nutella baklava to traditional ma'amoul cookies *Spice aisle w/ an enormous range of spices from the familiar, cinnamon, to the more exotic (for me), za'atar *All the flavored waters, like rose water and orange blossom water, w/ many brands to choose from * Restaurant/cafe w/ seating area - lunched on a chicken shwarma sandwich & friend lunched on a beef shwarma sandwich; sandwiches are served on thin bread like lahvosh vs. a pita bread For $21 smackeroos, I got the following groceries: Feta cheese/1/2 pound Bottle of rose water Mint bunch Three Persian cukes 1& 1/2 lb of sweet potatoes Pumpkin seeds/8 oz Walnuts/1 pound Cream-topped yogurt/32 oz This same grocery list would be twice the price at Fry's so yes, I'm a new fan of Baiz! Thank you for offering so much to our community.

Everything inside looks thoughtfully chosen, and a lot of it leans toward wellness and natural living. They carry a great mix of items--things like healthy snacks and drinks, small batch jams, local handcrafted goods, and even a pretty impressive wine selection with some unique finds. You can tell they put effort into sourcing good stuff, not just random shelf fillers. There's also a small seating area where you can grab a drink, sit back, and enjoy the music. The whole place feels relaxed and inviting, not rushed or overly trendy. If you're in the area or just someone who likes health-conscious shops with local flair, this place is worth stopping by. I'll definitely be back.

Walked in and was greeted by a worker and the numerous cute merchandise they have. So so many items to look at from candles, cookbooks, baggus, wine, candles, etc. I perused the store which had natural lighting coming through and was pretty empty for a Thursday morning. So many options, I had to tell myself only to buy 2 items. So many great wine options with notes attached to them with tasting notes, what to drink with, which as someone who is still a novice to wine, appreciated that. The nice worker even offered me some help and helped me narrow down to 2 wines. Walked out with a wine and the cutest tumbler! The wine (C.S.G) tasted incredible and fruity, which was perfect! Such a great shopping experience, I will most definitely be back to purchase gifts for friends/family or even a pick me up for myself.
