Overall, I've always liked this cinema, but it just never stood out from the others in San Juan and Guaynabo. Add to it that it was the farthest from me and it became my fourth choice. Since then, it has undergone several upgrades. One of them is the 4DX room, where the seats move around and you get several special effects thrown at you during the movie. Just like for some rides at theme rides. My wife and I decided to check it out when we saw Top Gun: Maverick. Overall, it was fun. It helped that the movie was also fun. However, it's not something I think I'll do again. It's one thing for a short ride, but for a feature length film it's a bit too much and gets old. Again, this is a nice cinema. The staff does a good job at keeping it clean and ordered. However, unless the movie I want to watch is only screening here or I decide to give 4DX another shot, it'll still be the 4th or 5th choice.

It seems that is one of the best sellers. So disappointing... next time. We ended up getting the Loaded Fries (Papas Supremas), the Boricua VIP Burger, and some mozzarella sticks. They delivered them to our seats without any mistakes. It was a lot of food. We ended up taking the fries home. The food is really good, even better than some restaurants. We also bought beer at the bar. As for the seats, they were very comfortable. They recline and have foot rests and tables. The theater was also very clean. Overall, our experience was great. Also if you choose the right time to watch your movie you could have the whole screen to yourself and your friends. The downside is that it's not always kept very clean, even some of the screens have like stuff on them, one has a splatter stain like someone threw a soda at it and no one has fixed it. One experience I had was not completely their fault but still disappointing. Me and my friends went to see the Mario movie 2 and like I said, there was no one else in the screen room. But then the power turned off during the beginning of the movie, their backup generators turned on, but it took them like 45 mins to get the movie back on. And first the audio turned on without the picture show we were hearing the movie we hadn't seen. Then the picture turned on and they had to rewind it, and they didn't get the right place. Still enjoyed the movie, but don't expect the quality that you could find in other theaters in the states.

Before Caribbean Cinemas introduced their VIP Cinemas (in San Patricio Plaza and Distrito T-Mobile), this was the theater to go to with the comfortable leather seats, beer and wine, and the gourmet food options. Depending on who you are dating, this is a good place for a date. Same thing for couples with kids. This will provide a nice escape. Theater validates parking. I believe you end up paying a $4 flat fee instead of the regular hourly rate. Also, the Popular Center building has easy access to the Hato Rey train station, in case you live or are staying near a station. Make sure to confirm the time of the last train if you plan on catching the last show.
