Located inside the Popular Center building in the heart of the mills de pro in Hato Rey, this cinema is dedicated to screening mainly foreign and more independent art films, as well as a few documentaries. As such, it is not a good place to bring the kids (unless they like those types of movies). It is a very nice theater with comfortable seats. The ticket booth is on the building's 2nd floor. After purchasing your ticket, take the escalator up to the theater and the Cinema Café. Before Caribbean Cinemas introduced their VIP Cinemas (in San Patricio Plaza and Distrito T-Mobile), this was the theater to go to with the comfortable leather seats, beer and wine, and the gourmet food options.
Depending on who you are dating, this is a good place for a date. Same thing for couples with kids. This will provide a nice escape.
Theater validates parking. I believe you end up paying a $4 flat fee instead of the regular hourly rate. Also, the Popular Center building has easy access to the Hato Rey train station, in case you live or are staying near a station. Make sure to confirm the time of the last train if you plan on catching the last show. read more
