Horrible: Was just told by Jessica that if I had take time to read reviews I would know they do not ship parts out. I asked for manager and was told that the manager was to busy to talk to me. I asked for owner was told he is in Bora Bora with his mistress. Really nice people you have working there! read more

I have been in automotive business for 40 years and bought thousands of parts from salvage yards. The manager there is very unprofessional. I sent a driver there to pick up a transmission that I was told would be ready and when he got there it has not even been pulled from truck this was a 329 mile trip one-way. Called and asked what the problem was and got cussed out from the so-called manager. this place is a joke and I don't see how they can stay in business much longer without some management changes. My advise is to stay clear from them and tell all your friends to do the same. If they where the only ones that had a part to repair my down vehicle I would rather walk.................. read more

A call. was made on a Monday, parts would be picked up before 11am on that Saturday, No problem with that she said. On Saturday, closed, the Girl Claiming to be the wife of the owner was called and said she would not let customers tell her when she was working and she was not working that day. My mother went way out of her way to pick up that part. She was very rude and using profanity at my mother for expecting her to be at work the day she said she would be there. read more

Customer service is awful!!! Advertises parts online but do not include any images. Called several times, emailed several times and used the chat app but still no action. Clerks told me that they would take pictures but never heard from them again. I would like to tell the owner that you are losing money daily because you have employees that will not do their job to make sales. There was no other contact information to contact a supervisor. Careful if you are an out of state buyer!!!!! read more

I'd give a lower star rating if it were possible..... Must agree with all the negative reviews on here. I don't usually look at reviews for used auto parts but from now on I will. Let me share my experience with CARGUTS. I am an automobile dealer in Greenville, SC and I try and buy local so in looking for an engine 2005+ GM 5.3 liter "Z" engine on CAR-PART.COM, which is most all salvage yards linked online. I found a listing for the engine without an intake for $500 from CARGUTS so I called to order it. The engine I was changing out has a good intake manifold so switching it over to the CARGUTS engine wouldn't be a problem. I called CARGUTS and spoke to Kathy/Cathy (not sure of spelling) on February 20th and she said they would deliver for an additional $35 so I agreed. She stated that it would be 2-3 days for delivery & I was fine with that. I thought this was a done deal so I moved on to another project. Wednesday I needed an engine for a 2009 Chevy Aveo so I gave Kathy/Cathy a call. She didn't have an engine available so I also checked on the 5.3 delivery time. She told me it was coming & that she still "Loved Me". Just junkyard jargon each and every time but who cares!!! I called back on Thursday to see if they had another item available but they did not. I again checked on the 5.3 engine. Kathy/Cathy told me they would be heading North not South that day & that the delivery would be Friday for my area. I called again Friday morning to confirm morning or afternoon delivery. She told me it would be just after lunchtime & the engine would be delivered. I called my installer to have him prepared to take the engine from the delivery truck. Assuming all is well, I enjoy my weekend with my family and think no more of the engine. I called my installer over the weekend to see how the engine swap was coming along, only to be told the engine never showed up. Now I'm a little upset, to say the least. I have a customer that has been without her vehicle quite some time and now I have an additional delay. I called Kathy'Cathy first thing this morning MONDAY 2/27/17 only to be told that she would have to investigate with the owner to see what happened. She said she would call me back in the next few minutes to advise. At noon, (4 hrs later) I call back & ask for her but she's on another line. Another lady said she'd help me so I explained my problem. This new lady begins to say "That engine has a knock in it. We've delivered it to a shop in Taylors and they returned it. There is no reason why she should have sold that engine to you" Now I'm fit to be tied. I've waited for something that wasn't even going to happen. No call from CARGUTS to explain. They act like it's NO BIG DEAL. Well, It is a BIG DEAL.. In speaking with several friends in my line of business, they all say 'YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED ME ABOUT CARGUTS". Everyone has given them a big THUMBS DOWN. The consensus is CARGUTS SUCKS. They are just a bunch of untruth tellers that need not be in business. They will NEVER get the opportunity to do this to me again. I will tell everyone I know about my ordeal and will post this to every site I can to warn the next person. BEWARE, CARGUTS IS NOT A REPUTABLE BUSINESS & THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS.... Kathy/Cathy YOU SUCK TOO!!! If you need a reference please feel free to call me 864-233-3909 read more

Beware! Beware! I called them and they said they had my part and it was in pristine condition. That was a Lie! I drove over 100 miles to find out they lied about the part. Not only that, they list their parts on other websites. I asked for the manager to discuss the part and she wouldn't come up front to talk to me. I heard her in the back using profanity about the part I came for. I wouldn't buy another part from that place if I had a voucher. They"re arrogant and Unprofessional. -Nelson D read more

I would never buy a part from this place. The management is extremely rude the woman at the counter holding a child told me I can take my ass down the road and find my part elsewhere. Every time I call I get hung up on or told we're short staff or my staff is incompetent. I would not recommend this place to anyone read more

I'm an another victim again by doing business with them. If I read the reviews before purchased the 2014 Bentley motor from them, I will never buy any parts from them. Just horrible and full of frustration. So, anyone want to deal with them , just don't do it. And I wondering why SC government will still let these liars running their business cheating customers. I purchased the 2014 Bentley motor from them online. It stated ENGINE FIRE. That is fine with me as long as it was fire. I paid $10000 for it. But we found out it was just a rebuilt engine and assembled by very poor work. We asked for refund and returned back. Danielle (I believed she is the owner) promised to refund $7500 back to me pretended she would follow their warranty policy. However, after she received the engine and told me that she already sent out the check, she started not answering my calls. And till now almost three weeks, I still have not received any check. I assume their will not do whatever they promised. Liar will deserve the punishment what they did to the customers . They will pay for it for sure. (I believed they post the broken engine again and try to cheat another customer ). Of course, filing complaint at DMV and litigation procedure will go after them. read more

I have been a customer here for several years and always had good experiences. My personal preference in terms of cars has always been to own and drive low production models that are rare because I do not want to be like everyone else. When these cars get to be over 5-8 years old you get into trouble with some repairs because the manufacturer discontinues parts from their catalog and you are forced to go used. Even in the used car parts market things are hard to find for rare cars. I have ordered things like brake calipers, broke boosters, and OEM CD changers from Car Guts and they have sent good parts almost all of the time. The prices are very reasonable and they pack/ship quickly. Things get to me in Texas from SC within a week in most cases. Only once I had a part that did not work properly so I returned it and was sent a full refund (minus shipping cost) with a check in the mail within a week. They even maintain a database with customer information so if you are a repeat customer you do not have to start from scratch when ordering. I saw it is worth the risk of a used part with these guys because you only risk the shipping costs. If it works out you will save big time over LKQ that prices parts off of cars with over 100K miles on them at 50-70% the price of new which is insanity. LKQ is a public company so I try and avoid them for that reason alone. Car Guts is owner operated which s a form of business I like to support. read more

STAY AWAY!!!!! Ordered a bumper and some other parts and after charging my card and telling me they had my order, I go there and they told me that the parts were all destroyed. Spoke to Adam and when I told him that they don't know how to run a business, he tells me that he didn't realize he was speaking to God. What Jerks.... Save your time and money and stick with LKQ! read more

I purchased two front Subaru knuckles from Catguts earlier this year. Both were supposed to be from cars that were about 10 years old and with fewer than 50K miles. Both knuckles, however, were junk. The bearings were bad on both, one was extremely rusty (deep rust), and the one that did not have the extreme rust had been hit very hard and was damaged. The original knuckles on my 14 year old Forester with 150K rust belt miles on it were in much better shape than the knuckles I received from CarGuts. When I called them about the issues, I got nowhere, they just gave me a stock story about how they don't guarantee the parts. I ordered from CarGuts based on their representation of what I would be getting, but I ended up paying good money for scrap metal. read more

As stated in all of the other reviews of this "business" STAY AWAY. I normally do not write negative reviews. This company deserves all they earn them for sure. I attempted to purchase a 06 Dodge 5.9 Cummins engine that was described as a 60K mile checked out and refurbished due to some cosmetic electrical fire damaged components. I spoke with Danielle on this particular order. A week beyond the state estimate of ship out went by. I called and asked for tracking on the engine I ordered and was told the engine was no good and also they was a few people short and a couple of days behind. Danielle stated she would call me back with the tracking of the alternate engine with 58k miles. 3 days went by and no phone call or responses to my Car-part messenger request to her. I then spoke with Kathy who told me most likely Danielle was just trying to buy some time and my order had not shipped yet. Kathy said she would find out and get back to me.... again a day later and no phone call back to me with any type of update good or bad. I called today and spoke to I assume was Danielle( she wouldn't give me her name and said it she was Cinderella). Today "Cinderella" states that the 58k mile engine was also bad and nothing has shipped. This was a order placed in good faith as a fellow auto recycling company. This individual went on to tell me I was wrong to have put a timeline for the order to our customer and it was my fault this and that, several explicits to me during her tirade about how they have crappy help that doesn't show up for work everyday. yadee yadee yadee..... if less than ZERO was an option I would give that rating. IF they treat a fellow business in the industry this way I can't imagine how they treat a retail customer. STAY AWAY, VERY DISAPPOINTED with this company. read more

Called for a part and spoke to a woman that refused to send my part to the nearest UPS pickup center (because packages are getting stolen from my doorstep) when I asked her why she couldn't accommodate that simple request she began cussing me out for the next 2 minutes. The absolute WORST place to do business with. All their vehicles are garbage! Covered with weeds and most are rust buckets. You WILL regret doing business with this company. read more

They will gladly take your money for parts they don't have and give you a hard time to get it back. Two months and still waiting for a check Danielle said she signed and was sent out. This ordeal started in August when i ordered a frame and suspension parts for an F150.I was told by Melissa that it would be 4 weeks on the frame and i still said okay.Seven weeks later and still no frame so i call and Melissa tells me it's at the frame shop so they can make sure it's square. The following week i call and its being painted.By the following week i call to cancel my order and am asked about the other parts and i say I'll still buy them. The following week Melissa calls me and asks why i haven't I picked up the parts.I tell her I'm trying to coordinate picking them up with picking up my frame from another salvage yard.I call the day before I showed up and talked to Melissa to make sure the part's were ready and she said I was good to pick them up.I show up and Danielle waited on me and said the part's aren't ready. She offered to ship them out to me the following day for free so I paid for them. Two weeks later I received part of my order so I called.Danielle said if Melissa had looked the part's up correctly she would've known we didn't have the fender and wheel.Anyway I'm 5hrs.away in NC and after looking at the South Carolina BBB this is there normal practice to take money and not want to return it. read more

Do NOT do business with these people - they're crooks. Found a part they advertised on car-parts.com and spent a lot of time confirming it was the correct part and condition. Since I needed the part fast, I sent them an expedited shipping label. Received the wrong part - not only was it not what was advertised, it wasn't even a part for my make/model, and it was BROKEN! I called back and informed them of their mistake expecting them to send a return shipping label. After numerous email exchanges they said they're not sending me a return label because .... wait for it (the irrational and random excuse) ... I paid for the shipping myself. My response: "Huh!?! That doesn't make sense. You guys made the mistake, why should I pay to ship the part back to you, and what does me paying for the original shipping have to do with anything." Then they told me they would not be refunding my money. And to top it off (which proves they're crooks), they claimed that they never had the part in the first place. read more

From the sales people who answer the phone to the so called supervisor who should be handling escalations, this company is the worse to deal with. I wouldn't advice purchasing bicycle parts from them read more

the worst customer service ever! unresponsive to messages and basically told me to take my business elsewhere!!

This place is, in a word, terrible. I've had to call 5 times in an attempt to order one part. They said they had it and would ship it. It never arrived. Never received a call. Called back again after a week and a half. They said they didn't have it but they could get it from somewhere local and would ship it out. Never received it AGAIN. Never heard anything AGAIN. Called back AGAIN after another two weeks. Was told they would look into it and call me back within the hour. Called back AGAIN 2 hours later. Spoke to someone who then told me she would email a tracking number to me despite the fact that I haven't received it. When I attempted to emphasize the importance of getting this taken care of as soon as possible, I was hung up on. This is by far the most unprofessional auto parts establishment that I have had the displeasure of working with. I cannot even fathom how it could be any worse. read more

What a joke this place is, a month has passed with no parts yet. Wish I would have read the reviews before placing an order. On September 3rd I called to order a driveshaft for a BMW, I was told they would need to email me a CC form to so that they could allow an order over the phone. nearly a week past with no email. On the Thursday 6th I called and spoke with Miranda and she was able to get the email to me on the 7th. I got the form back to her Wednesday the 12th and needed another part for another car, so we placed that order too on the 13th. Since then it has been all lies. I called on the 17th to check the status and was told that both parts shipped and we should have them by the end of the week. Called again on the 24th and was told again that the parts were on their way and should be in within 2 days, but for the delay the would cover the shipping. I called again on the 27th still with no parts, I was then told the parts were still on the car and still had to be pulled, then shipped. I then explained the situation they put me in with my customers and it was going to cost me reputation and money. She said for all the issues she caused that she would not charge me at all and get the parts shipped out by the next day. I called again 4 days later just to find out that they have canceled my order all together, but "Don't know how that happened". Wasted a whole month on phone calls, emails, lies, and still have no parts. Save yourself the trouble. Go somewhere else for parts. read more
