Get that Estimate in writing. Cost overruns can run into the thousands.

Crooks! BEWARE! They will swindle you! Wouldn't honor…read morewarranty on transmission they rebuilt, then messed with and broke another part in our car and wanted us to pay to fix it. They rebuilt a transmission and installed it in our car last year, and gave us a one year warranty on it. About a month ago it started having transmission issues and we took it to a different shop, just to get checked. The first shop (which is highly trusted in Jax) checked the transmission fluids, and said the fluids were good and to take it back to the people who rebuilt it since it's under warranty. So we did.. the next day...and it sat in their lot, for over two weeks, before they even looked at it. After looking at it, they claimed the transmission Fluid line had a leak, which is what caused the transmission issues. Sus since the fluids were fine when we dropped it off. They wanted to charge us the price of a newly rebuilt transmission. Even though it's under warranty. Claiming they won't cover it because the leak is our fault. crooked. Then, after having our car for over 4 weeks and wrongfully having to paying them... our car died again, two weeks after getting it back from them. Took it back and they said it was the rear driveshaft. Surprise surprise they say it's our fault and want more money to fix it. EVEN THOUGH THEY ADMITTED TO THE FACT THAT THEY PULLED THE DRIVESHAFT OUT ENABLE TO FIX THE TRANSMISSION. But they said it couldn't possibly be their fault. Shocking.... Do not take your car to be repaired by them!! Do not do business with them!

Terrible service. Told me I need a transmission. It would be over $5000 or they could take it apart…read moreand try to rebuild it. It would be between three and $5000 and then I said I'm just gonna decline all the work then they became interested in buying my vehicle. I took it to another transmission shop and had a full transmission service done and I've been driving the car since with no issues.

Been taking the ol Jeep to them for about 3 years and not only have their prices been reasonable,…read morebut their service is great. I never get the speech "you also need this, this, and this blah blah blah" when I go in for something small like an oil change like I have at dealerships and big name shops. The guys are great and always answer any questions I have. Recently I called with questions about wheel spacers and Roger the owner said since I'd bought the tires from them, to just bring it in the next day and they'd throw em on for me no cost. After picking up my car, I noticed a bit of vibration when on the interstate. I called the shop and without hesitation Cam told me to bring it back by and they'd figure it out. Ended up being I needed a balance and I was back on the road soon after, no issues. Seriously the best shop in town.

I took my car to Tubel's because it was steaming due to antifreeze hitting the motor. My car was…read morenot running hot, and it has never overheated before. I was charged almost $400 and told the issue was fixed. About 10 miles after leaving, my car started running hot. I immediately called the shop and was told, "That's strange, it didn't run hot when you brought it in." I had the car towed back. Three days later, I was told the car was ready. When I arrived to pick it up, the car would not start, which has never been an issue before. Again, I was told, "That's strange, it started when I drove it this morning." While driving the car home--less than 10 minutes from the shop--the vehicle began producing heavy white smoke, which I later learned indicates a blown head gasket. My car was returned to me in much worse condition than when I brought it in. I'm not sure what was done to my vehicle, but based on my experience, I strongly recommend doing your homework and getting a second opinion before taking your car here.
