    I was with State Farm for almost 5 years. I had a few minor claims (windshield damage from rocks,…read moreetc.) and then one accident where I crashed into a ditch near by apartment building in October 2013. This was just a few weeks after my fiance died, leaving me as a single mother. State Farm called me shortly after to let me know I would no longer be receiving comprehensive coverage. Thanks for that phone call during my time of intense mourning and trying to arrange all the affairs of my now deceased fiance. I had someone/something take a huge gouge out of the passenger side near the door about 9 months later. That jacked up my premium once again. This past October I did rear-end someone in a minor fender bender. Premium went up once again and while I was not pleased with the continued knee jerk reactions after relatively minor damages/incidents, I stuck with them because I knew eventually my premium would come back down. I received a voicemail about a month ago from an agent who asked me to call her regarding my policy. I called her back, left a voicemail, and didn't hear anything back. I get another missed call/voicemail today stating the same issue. I call back and once again she's not available, but calls me back this time and tells me that my policy isn't being renewed. It ends in 3 weeks. The only explanation is the fender bender back in October. She claimed a letter was sent (nope) and that she had sent emails (also nope). I've never dealt with a less customer service oriented company. Learn to treat people with some decency, especially during difficult times.

He found us homeowners insurance that meant our needs and got us car insurance that also covered what we needed. He also gave us great guidance on some tricky insurance situations we had with our property. He really worked with us and took our entire situation into account. That was in 3Q2024. Then we decided to talk to David for our health care insurance coming into 2025 to see ifwe should change anything going into the year since I will be starting Medicare in 2025. He found us health care insurance that seems better than what we have had and it is costing us less than half of what our old insurance would have cost. And it has positioned us better for my transition to Medicare later this year. He also helped us change my Mother-in-laws healthcare and worked with our friend. Both were extra beneficial. David is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares about doing the right thing for his clients. He is on top of everything!! I highly recommend!!

As i…read morewent through them, the more I learned about the commission incentives, the more wary of choosing any single consultant much as I would have liked to stay local. Christopher Westfall produces a lot of video pieces on Medicare benefits. I found these helpful and easily corroborated with medicare.gov and other sources (sometimes cited directly in the video). His business is up front about how they get paid. He's looking at long term costs, which with Medicare can be and usually are permanent: make certain mistakes at enrollment, and you will be stuck with them for the rest of your life. Senior Savings goes into some real depth on plotting out what costs will be over the duration. I chose them because the analysis they publish on YouTube goes past just Advantage vs. Supplement, but into the potential costs of picking the supplement grade or being swayed by signup incentives for Advantage plans. Calls are by appointment, which is less spontaneous but trust me--you want all the time you need to make a selection and also get into gnarly details of dental and vision options. My phone agent Hannah respected the fact that I had done all this research so we could skip over the basic Medicare option explanation, but when it came to dental and vision she took as much time as needed time to explore several options.
