The practice as a whole doesn't seem to be driven by having a high volume to pay overhead, even though that might be the case/reality! Dr. & staff add a priceless benefit to the overall experience of doctor visits w/ kids! (mom of 3) Also, the dr. isn't very robotic about diagnosis...he has something extra that I haven't witnessed from many others in his field...personal interest in the people around him..patients and staff!

I do not recommend this clinic, and I will no longer be returning as a patient…read more During my most recent visit, I waited in the lobby for more than 30 minutes despite having a scheduled appointment. While waiting, I witnessed extremely unprofessional behavior from the staff. A gentleman arrived for his appointment and attempted to check in, but no one was at the front desk. He stood there patiently until a nurse opened the door to call another patient. He politely told her he was trying to check in and explained that he was running late because he wasn't feeling well. Instead of assisting him, she ignored him at first--then interrupted him and said, "Well, if you are sick, maybe we shouldn't see you today. I don't want to risk getting sick." This is a medical clinic. People come here because they are sick and need care. To hear a healthcare worker say something like that, especially in front of other patients, was shocking and unacceptable. This clinic has had constant turnover--staff and doctors alike--and it shows. They are disorganized, dismissive, unprofessional, and do not seem to follow through on doctors' instructions or basic patient care expectations. Based on my experience and what I witnessed, I cannot recommend this clinic to anyone seeking reliable or professional medical care.

When we moved to Corpus I originally seen one pediatrician and she was not great. We switched to abc pediatrics after hearing the rave and ended up with Dr. Chua. I am SO glad we ended up in her office. I cannot say enough great things about her. She is so nice, professional, and thorough. She doesn't rush in and out of the office. She takes her time to listen to all of your concerns. No question is ever too stupid. She will explain everything so that you'll understand. She truly cares about you! One time I couldn't get an appointment with her because she was booked for the day. I seen her at the store and told her about it. She told me that if that ever happened again, to send in a message through her nurse. Sure enough the next time that happened, she made the time for us by squeezing us in her busy schedule! We love her!!!! She's the best! Every doctor I've seen at abc pediatrics as been great -- as when your doctor is unavailable you're able to schedule with another. I personally prefer Dr. chua though! My only complaint is her office staff. The front staff and appointment/scheduling is the worst! They are rude and unprofessional. It almost makes it seem like the rest of the office would be a nightmare, but overall the doctors are great! The front staff suck but if you can get passed that, you won't regret it!

Her office is called her zoo, and she has lots of animal statues and pictures. It's super cute! The office is split into a well visit side and a sick visit side. As if all that isn't enough: SHE IS THE ONLY DOCTOR I'VE EVER MET THAT VALUES YOUR TIME! We have been in and out in less than an hour every time, and she still has plenty of time to spend with every patient. She doesn't rush the visit. I can't say enough good things about this Doctor!

In my view, the delay of more than a week in processing necessary medication refills demonstrates a concerning lack of attention to patient care and could be considered negligent.
