His office is convenient in downtown and it is beautiful. The staff and hygienists are always super friendly. Overall, my teeth are healthy for my age, but my gums are very sensitive. I had a crown break (I only have one) and eery time I have needed any kind of drilling or other operation in my mouth, I have always endured great pain. Not so with Dr Derrick. He was able to get the job done with almost no discomfort. I'll be his patient for as long as he'll have me!

BUT, they promptly found an Oral Surgeon 2 miles away that worked me in, (rather quickly I might add), and I was all done minus 1 tooth, with a large root bordering my sinus cavity. All said and done I was back home by 12:15pm. PAIN FREE. NOTE: It's 8:28pm and the right side of my face is still numb. I can't feel my nose. Weird, but happy. PS: The surgery was done by Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery. 5 STARS to both businesses.

As luck would have it, the appointment prior to mine was cancelled, so they took me back an hour earlier than my appointment time. When Dr. Noel came in for the exam, I was initially impressed with his demeanor and positive energy. He is an extremely personable doctor, and he put me at ease immediately. I had never had a root canal, and there are many horror stories about how painful they are. He provided clarity about what I should expect during the procedure and after. Since he had an extra hour due to the cancellation, he was able to perform the root canal immediately. All throughout the procedure, he explained what he was doing and what I should expect in terms of sensation. I can honestly (and happily) say that the procedure was painless! I've had fillings that were more uncomfortable. Most importantly, a day later I'm still pain free. I have some soreness as to be expected, but the pain I had prior to the procedure is gone. Beyond my confidence in Dr. Noel as a medical provider, I am impressed by his personal conduct. He puts you at ease with his friendly and warm mannerisms. In addition, his entire staff seems competent and friendly. Heather assisted him during the procedure, and they had a comfortable and collaborative work style. The reception and billing employees could not have treated me any better. While I don't wish another root canal for my future, I know that I would head straight to Dr. Noel should it happen. My thanks to him and his entire staff for my experience!

So between two clinics I thought they checked my insurance BUT they did not check my insurance, and only after the fact I found out my insurance only pays 25% or so! And they are very forceful with the billing. It was almost $1800 for the root Canal, and now I face a bill of $1300! All this could have been avoided if they actually checked my insurance! And then they billed me for a service they never performed. They are slandering my reputation over a $120 ,service they never performed.
