I had a severe pain under a gold crown that was 20 years old. Chapman Emergency took me right away and evaluated the source of my problem. He determined that is was most likely a trauma to the gum. I totally agreed. He tested the tooth for cold sensitivity and concluded his professional diagnosis. I feel he was extremely honest. He could have simply said you need a root canal. Caring about a patient over need to bring in cash into the office won me over as a patient of Chapman Emergency dental services. I received no less than 3 calls checking on my pain level. I can't say enough great things about this amazing professional staff. I highly recommend relying on Chapman Emergency Dental services. Excellent professional and caring staff. read more

This dentist charged me for a comprehensive dental exam but only did the Xrays. A comprehensive dental exam is more than Xrays and a 30 second look in your mouth. They accused me of skipping out on payment and pushing past the front office when the front office offered to put the $20 payment towards the next visit. And then they billed me for a service they never performed. They are slandering my reputation over a $120 ,service they never performed. I'm being slanderd because I refuse to pay for a service that was never rendered. read more

I'm grateful to have Dr Chapman as my dentist. Over the past 9 years he has seen me and my family, often on short notice, for root canals, restorations and extractions. His work is superb. He treats us with tremendous empathy. His staff is second to none. We are grateful. Highly recommend!! read more

Run, run, run. If it all possible wait until your dentist is open. Shady people who are dishonest and have questionable dental skills. They didn't take care of our son who needed a root canal because they told us he just needed his gums cleaned. Paid hundreds of dollars only to need a root canal the next week. UPDATE: In response to the dentist, this is an example of lies and blame shifting. The only reason we took our son there is because it was the holidays and everyone else was closed, it was our only option! And our son needed a root canal the same week and also needed an antibiotic two days later because of a high fever from the infection. Unbelievable the gas lighting. Plus they messed up the original xray and hung up on us twice when we asked for our son's medical records. Could go on, but hopefully it's enough for discerning parents to wait a day until other offices open. read more

I was suffering from a root canal that did not take and was told I needed an apicoectomy by other orthodontists. But it would be 4 weeks out! Got in touch with CD and was seen right away, and they were able to re - treat the root canal without surgery and every thing has turned out ok. I really like that they did not rush the healing process and waited before finalizing the procedure. read more

What a great professional staff. These folks are great. They are expanding the clinic. and bringing in more staff. Dr. Chapman is talented and personable. He is assembling an outstanding team, and I would be very comfortable recommending anyone to this clinic for their dental care needs. . read more

I can't thank this group enough. Having a dental emergency is never fun. Having one literally hours before travel is even worse. Yet they got me in and took care of me quickly and efficiently. I appreciate you all! read more

went in with a cyst on my gum, was charged $200 for consultation and X-rays. The so called dentist told me he didn't see any signs of infection and he said it's best to just pull my tooth. Asked if my tooth was bad, was told no it's a perfectly healthy tooth, but I won't have to worry about anything getting caught in that tooth. And he will only charge me $400+ to pull my healthy tooth. He's about making as much money and nothing else. Hot tea compress made it burst and cyst started draining, did it myself and still have my tooth. read more

Dr. Chapman and his staff are awesome! They are very friendly, very conscientious of the patients feelings and comfort, and very clearly explain what needs to be done as well as the costs to the patient. I highly recommend them! read more

I had an exceptional experience when it came to my visit at Chapman Dental. I had been having some severe tooth pain and he was referred to me. He was happy to meet me at 9:00pm to do an emergency extraction and he was very patient and accommodating to me. He made sure to prioritize alleviating the pain before anything else. Even after the procedure, him and his team called and texted to check on me and to make sure that I was feeling better! I will definitely go back to him again for any additional needs that I have. Great service. Got two root canals done very quickly and it was obvious Dr. Chapman cared about the work he was doing. Highly recommend.

I had a true dental emergency on a Friday evening at 8:00 pm and Dr. Chapman met me at his office in 15 minutes to begin my root canal and get me out of my acute pain. His level of care, and that of his staff, is second to none. I highly recommend him. Susan Englund read more

Best Dentist in town. My kids actually love going to the dentist! I found him the first week I moved to Simpsonville and never found a better dentist, reasonable prices and he cares for each patient! read more

They have great customer service until 4 years later you get a bill for a routine cleaning for $1035.10!!! do not trust them!! They say your insurance pays everything but years later they send you to collection!!! read all the negative reviews first before going... even on Google!! stay away!! read more

DO NOT go to this guy. He is apparently a con man. He is a poor dentist and an even worse business man. He cannot keep his billing straight. He says he billed your insurance when he has not ! I went to him for a problem with a tooth I had treated in another state. Alex Chapman (I would never call him a Dr./Dentist) treated my tooth and it became infected. I went back to him and told him I thought it was infected. He said it wasn't and sent me home. After a few days, I went to Pelham Links where the dentist there confirmed that indeed my tooth was infected. I would NEVER recommend this guy to anyone. BEWARE! read more

best service I have ever received. very kind and gentle with me. everyone was so wonderful i can't say enough about this business!!

Run don't walk from this practice - they don't have standard billing practices and after 5 or more years provide a bill for thousands of dollars - no estimate or invoice at time of services - just demands and re writing if history and threatening bullying behavior - check out better business bureau and LLR for the complaints lodged - read more

Dr. Chapman and his staff are fantastic. Don't believe these fake reviews (heck, several of them show that the person leaving the review is from some other state). The staff are fantastic, super easy to get along with, and very friendly. Dr. Chapman is a blast, extremely knowledgeable, and so are all of his staff. I actually really enjoy going in and seeing him! The location is very clean, and has a warm welcoming feeling (definitely not what you get at your typical dentist office). I cannot recommend him enough to be honest, heck, my insurance isn't even in network with them and I still go there because they provide good quality and I'd rather pay a bit more for good quality! read more

4 crowns were not done properly. All had to be replaced due to cavities forming underneath. No responsibility was taken. Questionable sanitary conditions. I would not recommend getting work here read more

Dr. Chapman is the best! He's very kind and makes stressful dentist visits quite enjoyable. The staff is also wonderful and makes sure that you are comfortable while they're working on you. I have had Dr. Chapman pull 4 teeth and every time it was a quick and painless process. The atmosphere is very positive and you can tell everyone enjoys their time there. If you are in need of dental work, then choose Chapman Dental! read more

Unprofessional and unethical. Was always told every visit "You are good". Only to be hit with a bill going back 5 years for what insurance didn't pay that I was never notified of, never received an account statement or asked for payment. read more

Had a root canal on a crowned front tooth today. Dr Chapman was so good explaining everything he was doing and eased my nervousness. He was awesome and did a fine job! Even showed me the before, during and after x-rays! And I'm not even in pain!!! His fees are extremely reasonable for the area and i dont have dental insurance either. His work is very detail oriented! I recommend Dr Chapman to everyone whom needs a great dentist! read more

Avoid Chapman Dental at all costs! While the work was good, his billing practices are so bad that several people I know have been billed for THOUSANDS of dollars for work done YEARS prior. Dr. Chapman lied to us about his billing practices. Please look for a better dentist! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Chapman Dental. He is a great and very knowledgeable dentist. He is very easy to work with and often gives multiple options and scenarios for treatment plans with his opinion of which is best for you. He is very thorough in his work and will only stop at perfection. There have been a couple of times where he has brought me in a second time to perform more work to get the best result possible. Most other dentists only concerned with money would have sent me on and consider me treated. Chapman Dental is very up front about their billing practices and how they work with insurance companies. Most dental insurance plans will cover preventative maintenance but will only cover a portion of other treatments. Anyone who has struggled with billing to insurance claims either does not understand their insurance plan or how Chapman Dental works to get the insurance to cover as much as possible (and reasonable). They have been a breeze to work with and I have never had any difficulties. I have been going to Chapman Dental for a number of years as my primary dentist. Several of these reviews are from customers who may have only had 1 or 2 visits. Keep in mind that dental hygiene directly correlates to the amount of work a dentist has to do. They are not miracle workers and cannot restore years of damage that you perform on your body. Some of the other reviews for Chapman Dental do not properly reflect the professional service provided. read more

Worst experience ever and the people who work at front desk have no clue! I would highly recommend to keep looking for somewhere else to take your family! read more

Alex is a great dentist! Unfortunately his office doesn't accept reasonable and customary charges so if they are not reasonable or customary you will still have to pay the entire bill. I have had charges that the insurance company would not cover because they are considered to be a part of the procedure ( crown). I had to pay them. To be honest we have had nothing but problems with the way they handle insurance all together. read more

Excellent service. Worked me in for an emergency root canal. Took excellent care of me and made me feel so much better.

The absolute WORST dentist I've ever experienced. RUN, do not walk from this dud. If you use his services, you might want to go ahead and pay the extra he charges for HIS private insurance program. It's apparently the only way he warrants his work. He is good at one thing...accepting payment. Two years, a second dentist and I'm out nearly 10 grand. Thank God for second dentists. Cute trick he uses...he posts only good testimonials on his web page, won't allow reviews. read more

After a local dentist refused me service that would work around my immediate needs, I called in a same day appointment with Dr. Chapman.
