We visited this Urgent Care with our sick child, who was feeling very unwell. We came seeking medical help and basic compassion, especially when it comes to a child. Unfortunately, the experience at the front desk was extremely disappointing. The receptionist was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. We were overcharged, and when we calmly asked for clarification, the staff member threatened to call the police. This situation was especially distressing because it happened in front of our sick child. As a result of the threats, our child became very frightened and experienced significant stress. Such behavior is completely unacceptable in a medical facility, particularly when dealing with families and children. We also felt that the treatment we received was biased and differed based on nationality, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. We expected care, understanding, and professionalism, but instead we left feeling disrespected and deeply upset. I sincerely hope the management addresses this issue and ensures that front desk staff are properly trained in professionalism, empathy, and respectful communication. read more

Absolutely terrible experience at CareNow Urgent Care - Cedar Park. I had to come back three separate times just to get a simple physical therapy referral that should've been provided at my very first visit, which already included X-rays and exit paperwork clearly stating I needed PT. Instead of giving me the referral, they sent me home with muscle relaxers I specifically refused. The first doctor I saw was Dr. Leoa Sanders. When I followed up, the manager James V. tried to blame shift, saying she's "not even the normal doctor at this location." That's unacceptable if a doctor is actively seeing patients in your clinic, your clinic holds responsibility. Rather than fixing the issue, James told me I could "just go to the Avery Ranch location" so he wouldn't have to deal with me. Even worse, he told me I'd need to pay another $180 just to get the referral that should've been issued on day one. A total money grab. He even had the nerve to ask, "Well, did you ask her for physical therapy?" I'm the patient. It's the doctor's job to review X-rays, exit notes, and recommend treatment not for me to diagnose myself. James also told me to call back Monday if I hadn't heard from him by noon. What he failed to mention was that he wasn't even working that day. When I called, I got Joseph at the front desk, who had no idea what I was talking about. I had to explain my situation all over again, and he said he'd talk to the doctor. When I finally received my referral from Dr. Kenneth Green, it was dated to expire in 7 days. Because that Monday was Labor Day, that left me only 6 days to get into a clinic nearly impossible with how booked PT offices are. I had to go back again to get the referral extended. At that visit, instead of taking accountability, I was blamed by Joseph for "waiting too long" to seek treatment, even though I came back the very next day. To top it off, I was told they couldn't extend it due to vague "system issues." This clinic shows a pattern of blame-shifting, money grabs, and unprofessionalism. Poor management, zero accountability, and complete disregard for patient care. If you're actually trying to get better, do not go here. read more

I went in for an X ray, it took over an hour for me to even see someone, we waited in a exam room for 20 minutes, the X ray "technician" did not know how to operate it well at all, the actual doctor came in to the room 30 minutes after the x ray and gave me no information and told me to ice. Waste of 2 hours not urgent what so ever. read more

I've had multiple visits here and have had a issues both pre and post care. The first time I made an appointment via web then was texted to come in, only to be told that I wouldn't be able to be seen; this was after coming in, doing intake then waiting for about 75 minutes. Fortunately, my next few times were improved. I was seen and relatively quickly my 2nd time got what I needed and for a Friday night staff were friendly. My insurance was supposed to cover everything and I got a bill but I called into their billing line and it got settled pretty quickly. I went a third time for a COVID test this time, I'm not a hypochondriac or anything and again was seen relatively quickly, got my results and was able to go about my day. I got yet another bill which required me to then call their billing number again and explain again that my insurance should cover everything. It's a bit annoying to have to do that so I've gone elsewhere since even if it was further out. read more

There is no "urgent" here. Waited over an hour for one simple test result. I honestly feel they forgot I was in the room. Was fully dismissed and told they had nothing to treat and discharged me. After they sent off my tests it came back that I did need antibiotics but at that point I had seen another doctor elsewhere and got what I needed. Even after they called me with my results and I explained I had gotten care elsewhere and tried to explain the situation I was interrupted by the receptionist and she made snarky remarks. I was a walk in appt late afternoon so it was busy. Was greeted by front desk. She was dealing with a difficult client but remained professional. Internet connection was not great so initial intake took longer than it should have but once it was complete I was brought back to a room in under 10 minutes and seen by the doctor shortly after. Thorough exam by physician and was advised to get a chest xray. Only giving a 4 star rating because I had to go to the Avery ranch location for the xray and had to step outside to complete intake due to poor internet connection. I called this clinic for a virtual visit aftern testing positive for COVID. My wife had a great experience at this clinic when they first opened so told me to call them. After my request I received a phone call within an hour. The provider that called me was very professional, personal and cared about my illness. She even ask my wife if she had any questions After realizing she had tested positive also. I would recommend this to anyone. Thank you for a second great experience! Save your money and do Telehealth instead. I went in yesterday and saw, Dr. Chimene. I had problems swallowing and pain in my right ear. Dr. Chimene told me I had a cold, when I actually have an ear infection. Telehealth was able to diagnose me over a video chat and CareNow misdiagnosed me in person. Two thumbs down. read more

The system they use for checking people in and getting them seen makes ZERO sense- if you have all day to wait around as you're told 1-2 hours then another 1-2 hours then have at it. And before someone tries to even say it - I get that some people coming in may not need to see the doctor and will get called before you but multiple people in the waiting room we're getting just as frustrated and confused by the never ending wait times, and zero communication on when you would actually be seen. Not to mention the system that allows you to leave and they will text you apparently goes down all the time so DO NOT recommend leaving because you will most likely get passed up with no notice due to their system. read more

Waited 2 hours in the office and was told they couldn't give me an estimate of how much longer as the doctor was now "in a meeting" and he is the only provider. There were very few people actually in the clinic and still no one was being seen. read more

Although no service was rendered as noted previously, I did pay the ridiculous co-pay, yet I continue to receive bills in the mail from this establishment. I received yet another bill from this establishment today; a bill for which I have a credit card statement and receipt indicating it was paid. DO NOT SEEK MEDICAL CARE AT THIS LOCATION!!!! This urgent care has been my worst experience ever in getting healthcare. I went to this location for a UTI that was extremely severe - I told them the pain was extreme, and that I also had kidney pain in my lower back - they ignored the severity of my kidney pain and said I had a UTI. (I had a kidney infection). I also watched the medical assistant take my vitals and my heart rate was 115 (super high) - she lied and recorded it as 80 (normal HR) which I didn't see until looking through the paperwork after. If they are okay with lying and changing my objective data it is no wonder that they are unable to correctly treat patients. Lying as a healthcare worker is a red flag. I was only given Macrobid which is only helpful for UTIs, it is not helpful for kidney infections which is what I had. I ended up having to go to the ER after my symptoms became severely worse and I had a kidney infection that had been untreated for almost a week because of the incompetence of this clinic. They took a urine sample during my visit and told me they would call me with the culture results -- they called me four days later and I missed the call. I called back 5 minutes later and waited on hold for 20 minutes before someone picked up and then SLAMMED the phone. The incompetence and rudeness of the staff is scary. I have continued calling back for around an hour waiting on hold, just trying to get the results of my culture because I am still suffering pain from the infection. I have still not been able to get the results of my culture back. I might have permanent kidney damage at 20 years old because of their incompetency. I had no other health issues before this. read more

Go somewhere else! Did the online check-in from home, and was told to arrive at 9:30. Which I did arrive about 10 minutes early. Was taken back to the room around 945, where I was tested for strep. I then waited over an hour. No doctor, and the staff had no idea where she was they said... it was awful. I couldn't walk out bc I needed the result, and they collect fees upfront. Staff was not professional in the back at all. There is no wonder their wait times are so long! The front desk lady wouldn't even look me in the eyes when trying to check in and she gave me actual attitude when I asked if I needed to use the QR code to check in. Then didn't care to let us know that the online check-in was incomplete. Letting us sit there for nothing. However, I do have to say the Dr. was and the rest of the staff was helpful. This review is being updated specifically to reflect my experience with the newest doctor on staff- not the other two doctors. I believe his name is Dr. Lee, but I was honestly so frazzled on my way out that I've forgotten. I came in today for what I believed to be an ear infection. I had a small, movable swollen lymph node at the front of my ear which was my primary symptom. I came in and was placed in a COVID room- after specially telling the woman on the phone that I was not symptomatic and that my cough/sore throat was from the inhalers I use for asthma and are chronic. So I was taken into a COVID room and the doctor came in and did two things that were utterly disappointing to me: 1) He said it was likely allergies and to continue taking my allergy meds- and that he wanted to put me on steroids. I clearly told him that my allergy/asthma doc had cut me off from steroids for the time being because I had been on SO many in the last month and a half. He laughed, mumbled and then proceeded to repeat that he was going to put me on steroids. At this point is when I was realizing that he wasn't listening at all and that I was ready to leave and just call my specialist. Then... 2)He ended our conversation for a single swollen lymph node that had appeared within a day and was totally movable by saying that I also need to keep in mind that it could be malignant, cancerous. Then proceeded to laugh and joke with my three year old as if he hadn't just said what he said. THIS IS NOT APPROPRIATE!! I grew up in household filled with medical professionals, have been to numerous doctors in my lifetime- and this is NOT standard to say at the end of an initial visit for something that is likely related to allergies. It was in my chart from a previous visit that I have anxiety- so definitely not the kind of person you throw the word cancer at with no evidence or reason. I went to my car and had to call my husband before I had a panic attack- which is a trigger for my asthma. The lack of care and compassion I experienced was disheartening since every other visit here has been stellar. I highly recommend this doctor be reprimanded at the very least. read more

I had a very good experience here has stopped over, and I forgot to write up a review ! The receptionist was very nice and very helpful. I didn't have my MedicareCard with me and while I was completing the paperwork she was able to look it up to confirm I was eligible. I had slipped and had a bad fall in the kitchen the day after my 65th birthday! Can you believe it... seriously! Any way an hour or so after I fell I was still in terrible pain so decided I needed to seek treatment. I had about a 5" wait after completing the paperwork -that was amazing in my opinion. Hubster had helped me in and then left to take our 4 legged children to Doggy DayCare..just in case we were tied up for a while. So the doctor-Dr Noble perfect Name by the way) who was amazingly young came in and we had a thorough discussion of what happened, he examined my leg and had me show him where the pain was. My leg by that time had a large swelling midway between the knee and the ankle which was a new development. He immediately sent me by wheelchair across the hall to their x-ray room. The latest in equipment was there so the images went right to a computer screen. The area where he anticipated a fracture was intact so the swelling was likely from a contusion on the long bone. He questioned me thoroughly about an area just below the kneecap that was questionable, however I've had arthritis in my knees forever and I was NOT feeling pain in that area. He still wanted it read by a radiologist before I was allowed to get up on it. A few minutes later the radiologist confirmed no fracture. By this time my leg had swollen and was beginning to bruise. Ever time I touched the floor I had horrific pain. At that point the doctor felt a small quantity of pain medicine was appropriate and wrote a script. The doctor was so caring and he and my husband had to help in order for me to make it to the car. One could only wish that the bedside manner of most physicians was as good as his! The receptionist /billing staff just waved me on thru even though I told them I hadn't met my deductible. They said not to worry about it and that I'd be billed if there againwas a balance due. I highly recommend Care Now Urgent Care. They display Care Now... It's not just the name they chose! I wouldn't hesitate to use them . read more

Never again. I made an online "appt" for noon. Called them to check status at noon and was told to head on over. Got there and was told that it was a mistake for someone to tell me to come in at that time. It is now 4pm. I was seen by a nurse and have now been waiting in the room for half an hour for the doctor. The staff is nice but this is totally ridiculous. I had four staples near the front of my head that needed to be removed. The urgent care that put the staples in very suddenly, temporarily closed within days of me getting the staples put in (maybe due to COVID-19?). Had I known, I would have purchased the $5 skin staple remover tool online to do it at home, but due to slower mail time during the pandemic, it would have taken too long to receive. I just received a bill (on top of the copay I already paid CareNow) that says they're charging $246 for a procedure that took LESS than one minute and that could have been done by a 10 year old with a $5 tool. Disgusting. I've never been billed (after paying a copay) at any other urgent care with my current or any past insurance. I will never come back to this urgent care, even though it's the closest to my house. read more

I got on the wait list at 11a. Called finally at 1p to ask about the wait. They said to come in at 245p. Got there early and waited until 430p. Called family first down the road and although they didn't take my insurance I got in right away and they were very nice. I was almost out of luck getting my sick daughter in anywhere because it was getting late. I never did get called to come in to Care Now until after 5p. I have a hard time believing it was a 6 hr wait list when they told me 2 hours from my 11am. I think they do not really pay attention to the online checkins. read more

I checked in online then received a call where I had to give all my info over the phone (insurance card, etc.). I then had to use a PIN number to access their onlIne system and complete the check in. Afterward she says they "might be able" reduce my wait time. When I arrived, she asked me to wait a minute. After helping several other people then greeting someone else who checked in online, I left. There was 1 receptionist and she was clearly overwhelmed and frustrated. I decided to use the over the phone doctor option that my insurance co provides. read more

This Urgent Care has a great front office staff, MA, tech and Doctor. I cannot remember the lady's name, but she quickly got all of my information and had a nice attitude while doing so. This set the tone for my visit and made me feel a little at ease. I was seen within 10-15 minutes of completing all of my paperwork and was out within an hour of signing in. The MA showed empathy and was also in a good mood despite helping the front desk with some things. Now, Dr. Noble. He was great! He asked me a lot of questions. Recommended a couple of different tests to eliminate all possible illnesses. This made me feel very relieved. There are many recent headlines of African-Americans not getting the right care or enough Doctors listening to what their symptoms are and going the extra mile. Dr. Noble did just that. He gave some OTC recommendations and advised to come back anytime I felt worse. I'd recommend this location!! read more

If you are not going to give walk-ins a reasonable wait time because of the "check in online," then stop advertising you accept walk-ins. I went in there yesterday to be seen as a walk-in and was told there was a 3 hour wait time, but I could go online and "check-in" to guarantee a place in line. When people are sick, they want to be seen in a reasonable amount of time. Just make "by appointment only" and you will have less aggravated patients. I won't be going back. Went to CareNow on 3/8/19- and was seen by Dr. Middleton. The front desk clerk and nurse were very polite and helpful, but if I have to go back to CareNow again, I would much rather see Dr. Noble, who my husband saw in February. I had been ill since late Sunday night, so by the time I sought medical care, it had not been 10 days, and Dr. Middleton made sure to point that out. Yes, I realize it had not been 10 days, however given that the OTC meds were not working and because of other medical conditions that I have it was better for me to seek treatment now instead of waiting another 3 days. I stated I wasn't trying to diagnose myself, however it felt like a sinus infection and gave the reasons why. He continued to list off the OTC meds I could use, saline solutions to use. My husband asked for a steroid shot to help this faster, he said no, it won't work. Which, knowing the medical field, me, my husband, and my daughter we all know is not exactly true. But ok, we didn't want to argue with a doctor, he was the one with the degree. So he have a prescription, but stated I was to wait until day 10, to see if this started to go away on its own. He also recommended to get some Sudafed to help dry up the sinus area. If by day 10, things didn't improve, then I could start the Rx. (Seriously). Besides the sinus pain, was a headache that Advil was doing nothing for. I have Complex Migraines, that I take high grade meds for. Since he didn't offer to assist with the headache, I had no option but come home and take my migraine meds to help with the 7 day headache that had not gone away since this medical condition arrived. Well my husband and I decided not to wait until day 10 to start the RX, I'm on the 3rd tab of the Rx and slowly starting to feeling better. Looks like the sinus infection was NOT viral like Dr. Middleton stated or the meds would not have started working. Worst doctor experience at a CareNow facility in a long time and we recently moved here from Ft Worth where we used CareNow as our urgent care. read more

I created an appointment online at 11:00am for a covid test. I was told I would be contacted when my time came up but never received any notification for over 6 hours I went in person. While there I was told the wait was about an hour. After 3 1/2 hours passed I still had not been seen and had to leave because I would rather risk having covid than waiting any longer. read more

This place will waist your time and if you have a significant injury you need to go somewhere else. I had an injury where I was bleeding and needed to have treatment for a laceration. I went on line and signed into CareNow at 8:15am. After more than 2 hours, I tried to call them to see when I would be able to get in. They never answered my phone call. After at least 5 attempts to call them, I finally went to a different urgent care facility. The other urgent care facility answered their phone on the first ring and was able to get me in with no waiting. They fixed me up and had me home before CareNow ever reached out to me. It was 3 1/2 hours after I signed up on line, before CareNow reached out to have me complete the sign in process and more than 5 hours before they called me. I don't know what is wrong with this place, but they are not in any hurry to help you if you are bleeding. read more

This Urgent Care is by far the best I've ever been to! I've gone twice myself and once with someone else. They actually listen to you and make sure to help you. It's been over two months since my last visit and the doctor remembered me and why I was there last time. Kathleen at the front desk is so nice and made me and my children feel welcome. She helped my kids pick out a movie to put on the screen and helped them get snacks. It was very quick for a busy urgent care and they made sure to give quality care, both this time and last time I went. I would definitely recommend this urgent care above others! read more
