I had checked in at Care Now for a time after 1pm. I finally get a text they are ready for me at 4. I get there at 4:05. I was one of 3 people in the office. By 5, there were about 20 of us. In that hour, only one person had been called back and I had not seen one person come out. I went to the front and told the unfriendly office staff I was going to leave. I get it. I am sure she was overwhelmed. She said why, there is not a wait, I just have not been able to get you entered. I said, oh okay. If it will be a few minutes, I will wait. I waited another 20 minutes and walked out. I was lucky enough to find Rockwall Rapid Care on Google. I was afraid I would not make it by 6, when they closed, they said they would wait on me. I get there, they greet me at the car and take me back immediately to a wonderful room with a reclining chair. The nurse comes in to get vitals and I fill out some paperwork and they told me to punch a button next to my chair, when I was done. 5 seconds later the doctor comes in. He was a delight. The doctor is an MD, not a PA. He told me what my problem was with a joint in my foot, gave me a shot and told me, I would feel 100% better tonight and he was right. So thankful I found this place. It is a privately owned urgent care and the care I was given was unbelievable. They charged me a $20 copay. I told them, I thought it was $50. They said don't worry about it, if it is more than $20, we will bill you and they sent me on my way. My husband went with me and we were both so impressed and trust me, my husband does not impress easily, when it comes to doctors.

I told the person who answered the phone that before making an appointment. But at the end of the appointment, I was told there was no one present who could administer an IV. I understand doctors do not normally insert IVs but he wasn't capable especially if it's an IV therapy location? I was charged nearly $100 on top of my deductible for a COVID test which I wasn't told before the test was done. I've never been charged that much for a COVID test. Even though I asked about the charge and told him my copay amount, they still overcharged me which wasn't discovered until I asked for an itemized receipt. It took them many hours to issue the partial refund.

Asked what worked best for me regarding meds, and within 15 minutes, I was walking out, with RX called into my local pharmacy. I would totally recommend Rockwall Urgent Care. Back in January I was pregnant and had over 108 fever with horrible symptoms, had to wait 45 minutes in the waiting room while I was hearing the nurses laughing, and complaining about how sleepy they were. After finally getting seen they didn't even want to do an ultrasound nor collect any samples to check if my health was good or the baby's, Left me in a room in pain for 3 -4 hrs just to tell me to drink Tylenol. Fast forward August this year my newborn started chocking once again due to this hospital being the closest one, took my baby's here she was literally purple and struggling to breath waited for about 20 minutes, the nurse took us back so he can just tell us the doctor will be here soon, the doctor didn't show up until 2 hrs later. My review is regarding the treatment I received today from the receptionist (Lailani?) Upon checking in, she promptly informed me that I was no longer was covered by my insurance. Since it is the beginning of the new calendar year, I pulled out my new insurance card and told her that I was covered and I had verified this information with my insurer prior to coming to the office. She didn't look at my insurance card; instead, she turned her computer screen toward me and coldly stated, "well my computer says you're not covered." She then stated that she would enter me as a self-paying patient. I told her that I was covered and I would not be paying out-of-pocket for the visit. I asked her to call the number on the back of my card to verify my information. She rudely informed me that wasn't her job and that she would not check me in. I immediately asked her to let me speak to someone with more authority which seemed to agitate her. She finally took my insurance card with her to speak to someone behind the counter. Shortly she returned and without saying anything to me, she began keying something into her computer. Within a few seconds, she told me what I already knew--my insurance was valid. At no point did she apologize to me or acknowledge that she was in error. I understand people can have bad days, but her blatant rudeness and lack of professionalism were uncalled for.

All I needed was to continue on my diet and keep working out, as per an actual high-rated heart doctor. I will never return to this doctor's office, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, not even my enemy.
