The crew here can't be beat and I'm so grateful we have such a resource locally! We came in on a Tuesday around 2 PM for their $35 kid's physical (perfect for athlete summer camps) and Dr. Pham was so great with my preteen 12 year old son. She had him laughing and smiling through the whole physical, which is no small feat with a middle school 6th grader. Amberly was our nurse and made the visit easy and quick and don't get me started on the front-desk nurse Cyndi! She helped us over two years ago when we were desperate with a more emergency situation (that they still saw us for even though it was 30 minutes before closing time on a Saturday and that appt took over an hour). This location was under a different name and company back then, but two years later and she STILL remembered us when we came in today! Not only that but she remembered what we'd come in for previously and made our checkin seamless and easy. I also LOVED the ease of scheduling and how online you can see how many people are in line before you schedule, set up your appointment, and check-in online before you even get in the car (along with telling them how long of a drive you have to get there) and then you fill out paperwork on your phone on the car ride over so by the time you walk in you are ready to go! I never get service like this at my regular doctor's or our pediatrician's offices - we had one person ahead of us and we were in and out in under 45 minutes - and at a price of $35 for a physical, this will be our go to place from here on out. Such a gem finding people and service like this these days! I went in recently and there was no one in the waiting room. I thought that was a good sign that I wouldn't be waiting for very long. However, I was there for nearly two hours in the waiting room. An hour after I checked in, I got a text saying I didn't show, when I was literally sitting there in the waiting room the entire time. I told the assistant, but still had to wait another hour. The sole reason I selected this place was because they advertised "check in online and skip the wait". I was #4 in line and I arrived at my appointed time only to sit here in the waiting room and WAIT. When they called me up to collect my co-pay the girl at the desk said, "I'll let them know you're ready". Meanwhile, a mom with her kid asked how much longer before they're called back and was told "you're next". She said she had checked in on line as well and had already been waiting an hour in the waiting room. I was told I was #2. Don't fall for the "skip the wait" hype - you're still gonna wait when you show up whether you check in from home or whether you show up as a walk in. I would give this place Zero stars if I could. I chose this urgent care because the one I have used in the past didn't open until noon and I wanted immediate care. My insurance card clearly states the amount I should pay for urgent care facilities. However, when I was called up to pay they wanted the full amount as if I didn't even have insurance- almost triple the amount I expected to pay. I showed her my card that clearly states the cost urgent care should be with our insurance. Jackie was so incredibly rude and had zero empathy or customer service skills. I cancelled the appointment and immediately called my insurance company who confirmed that I was being told to pay the incorrect amount. What an enormous waste of time driving out there and back for nothing. Thank goodness there are so many great urgent cares in Rockwall because this sure isn't one of them. read more

I was told by them that their "billing changed" last year. Now, you are required to sign a form that states that you will pay ANY charge that your insurance does not pay. HOWEVER what they don't tell you is that they will automatically charge any such amount to your credit card WITHOUT even allowing you to review charges first. Even if a mistaken charge is made (which DOES HAPPEN here) they charge your card and then you are left to try to dispute it with them after they have charged you. We had used this location many times in the past when they had a more reasonable billing procedure. Will never use them again. They literally can and will keep your card on file and can charge your card whenever the mood strikes them. Horrible business practices!! If you enjoy shady and frustrating billing practices this is your place! read more

I had to go in for an infection in a cut on leg. I was taking Antibiotics for something else and was told by nurse practitioner that it should fight staff infection in my leg. It continued to worsen and I had to go to ER within 24 hours. They gave me IV antibiotic and said the other antibiotic doesn't fight staff infection at all. $1000 for ER visit and early onset cellulitis. I wouldn't recommend this clinic. read more

The front desk went out their way to help me get my insurance info squared away. The assistant who came in to do our vitals was very nice and the dr and nurse assistant tagged team us because it was me and my 2 daughters and they got us in and out. Dr. Fulton has single-handedly ruined my family's financial situation for several months due to his overzealous diagnosis (or lack thereof), lack of thoughtful judgment, and lack of desire or willingness to provide any responsible semblance of care. Dr. Fulton completely passed the buck and sent me to the ER for something that really was not an emergency. He ended up costing me thousands of dollars out of pocket for his recommendation that I get a CT scan (at an ER no less) for what just turned out to be some mild gastroenteritis. Had this person spent more than TWO minutes of his time thoughtfully considering my symptoms and the severity of them, he should have come to the same conclusions as the nurses in the ER did, who felt a CT scan was an overstretched cautionary measure that probably would not yield any meaningful diagnosis other than a stomach bug - but they proceeded to run one due to the previous doctor's orders (Dr. Fulton's). My symptoms were not severe, I did not have vomiting, fever, or diarrhea. I rated my pain as a 6 out of 10, I was able to walk, talk, and drive myself to Care Now and subsequently to the ER. Dr. Fulton asked me to identify where my pain was and he said it was in my intestines area. I have no history of other symptoms, a general stomach bug was very likely the cause, but he insisted it could be diverticulitis or something else but he really wasn't sure and that "I was probably too young for that" so instead of thinking critically, he decided to pass the buck. He insisted I needed a CT immediately. Having no experience with situations like these, I took him at his word - I naively accepted that a doctor's word is to be trusted. What an error in judgment in my part. read more

This place!! Wow!! So disappointed on everything I seen happen here!! 1st off let me start by having a medical background. Ok, so my experience. I call at 5pm when I get home from Substituting my daughter is going on day 2 1/2 fever. It's a Friday.. I call this place because my insurance recommended... I ask how long the wait is and I was told it was a 4-5 hour wait.. and they would call me and then asked me if it was ok... well by this being my 3rd day with my daughter a fever I didn't care how long to wait as long as she got seen. So not even 30 mins later I got a text to come in... as to my thinking it would be a while I didn't even check my phone... so when I seen this 15 mins went by I gathered her up and hurried down... I was not greeted... I listened to the front office lady trying to count money and talking with the lady helping me check my daughter in about $200 missing and totally being rude to her and just a snippy attitude. Then I watch a male provider speak about how he thought he was done... and she run over there to tell him I just walked in and his saying ,we'll to bad. As to they didn't argue... he ran out as soon as the last patient was seen... I figured a shift change? Well as I sat in the waiting room with no one.. I hear the phone right... the lady helping me. (Nice answered) asking about appointments I'm assuming... they have 30 mins left and I hear her proceed to tell her that it was me a 4-5 hour wait.. Just like me then I hear them say they close in 30 mins... then the other lady snatched the phone and got on the phone and told whoever that there was nothing available today... when they were clearly not busy... just lazy... only the one... I felt upset for whoever on the phone then it linked me to what I was just told.. then check in less than 30 mins after been told 4-5 hour wait. Then I Continued to listen to more as I was waiting and being the only one there. I finally got check back with my daughter and the medical assistant was sweet. And then a nice provider came in about 20 mins later... As we were treated I walked about and asked if I was done and the rude lady had no idea and just basically said yes you are done and everything was sent.... Really sad and upset about everything I seen here.. and definitely need to up there game or let the owner know what is happening at his practice!!! read more

I was told company policy is to NOT tell patients they lack the ability to take x-rays until the patient is checked in, paid their co-pay, and has been roomed. their policy is to be misleading. dishonest, I was seen and told to go to a different CareNow for xray, got there then was told they couldn't to the xray and to come back tomorrow to a different CareNow for the xray. went back the following day to a third CareNow only to be told they don't do X-rays either. I am.now at my fourth CareNow for an xray and am being told it's 1-2 hour wait. lying. dishonest. not to mention the Garland location smells like feces and had bugs crawling all over the counter. I will NEVER come back and recommend you steer clear of any CareNow. read more

While the care at this location has always been good and I commend the doctors I can't say the same for the receptionist Teri. Maybe she was overworked a few days ago but she was really rude to me. I realize the medical profession is stressful but you're there to help people not make them feel small. You'll get more out of your day if you make an effort to be kind. Went in to be checked for a sinus infection. This "doctor" continued talking to me about COVID and I had to interrupt him and told I him that I am not here for COVID, I am here because I have a history of Sinus infections and this is the reason for my visit. Sinus surgery was recommended to me, but because of what is going on right now, I do not want to be in a hospital. He told me to go see a doctor for sinus surgery and left the exam room. I was not examined, much less diagnosed. This "doctor" was more interested in talking about COVID than he was about the reason for my visit. He did not listen to me, did not exam me and did not diagnose me. I now have to take time off work tomorrow to see a doctor again. Honestly, I am wondering if this person is a real doctor. They told me my wife was needed to be transported for a blood clot. She was taken by ambulance and even the fire department scoffed because this doctor is known to embellish. The ER doctor laughed when treating my wife. He looked at the urgent cares report and said there was nothing close to diagnosis of a blood clot. It ended up being Covid-19. I come here because I work for Carenows parent company, HCA. I come here because it's free. Every time I come here I sit for over an hour, sometimes up to 4 hours to be seen. I assume the delay is because of staffing shortages but it's been this way since before covid. This carenow should be called care later. read more

Someone from the office called me to schedule an appointment for 1:30. I waited over an hour and a half to be seen. When the doctor came in after the nurse swabbed me, she tried to swab me again and acted like she didn't believe me when I told her the nurse had already done it. Not only that, the room they put me in had a dead cricket right when you walk in and an old ear covering thing under the chair, so I'm assuming the office isn't terribly clean. And they are giving everyone the same pens to use to fill out their information as if there isn't a pandemic going on. read more

I had a 4:00 check in. Didn't get called to come in until 6 pm. Got tested for Covid and the doctor only looked in my ears but no other examination. I had to repeat myself several times to both the nurse and the doctor. I was not given any treatment nor prescribed any meds. Then as I left found out that they would not file my secondary insurance and charged me based on my primary which has a high deductible. It was the worst care that I have ever experienced and I will never go back! read more

I sent this letter to CareNow's collection agency March 6, 2023. I still have not received a reply, so I'm sharing it publicly. I went to CareNow in September 2022 for a poison ivy rash. CareNow treated me and accepted an upfront payment of $342 and agreed to provide a patient itemization that I could turn into my insurance company, but they never did. Later, they billed me for an additional $62, so I called them to repeat my request for the itemization (approximately Oct 2022). That never came. But a month later the same bill comes again. This time i write my request on their bill and send it back to them and call them again (approximately Nov 2022). During the phone call, the CareNow associate said sometimes those itemization requests that several weeks! Around December 2022, the CareNow billing, my written response and phone call repeat. So, after CareNow tortures me with 5 letters that I have called them back about each time and written them three times about, they send me to a credit collection agency. CareNow appears to be the most incompetently run organization ever. CareNow has an obligation to provide this information to its patients. Even though CareNow doesn't accept my insurance company directly, my insurance company will reimburse me for the cost of the care they provided. I cannot receive this reimbursement without a patient itemization however. For the eighth time please send me the patient itemization. Tell CareNow to cease and desist with these billings and letters until the time they provide this itemization. Even if they do provide the itemization, I plan to paste this complaint to yelp or other review websites so other people can avoid the pain and suffering I've endured dealing with their incompetence. The only thing that would persuade me they learned their lesson is an apology plus waiving the $62. CareNow has inflicted far more suffering than that $62 is worth. read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. I tried for over 4 days to get a drug test for work. After relentless calling and being told a 3-4 hour wait too leave a urine sample, I finally went in. I told them it's important this gets done before 2 which was 2.5 hours away. After receptionist rolled her eyes at me she said there were four people in front of me. I almost lost my job because they purposely waited until after 2 to call me back. Just to be told it had expired. Horrible staff, they took walk-ins right away after I waited that long. I have been to this care now at least 7 times between myself, my husband, and my 11-year-old son. I have never received anything but the highest level of care and respect from the front office, nurses, and physicians. I see a lot of bad reviews on here mostly about money (you should get better insurance if you want cheap urgent care visits, or wait to see your PCP during normal business hours) and the physicians acting patients best interest by referring them to the ER where they can receive definitive imaging. I am amazed by the quick and thorough care all of these doctors provide. I wish I could remember all of the physicians names, but I can't, Dr. Stanczak is one that I have personally seen more than once, and she is amazing. read more

This place is horrible!! Chelsea is rude and obviously is not enjoying her job! She was rude to me on the phone and rude to my husband when he arrived for his appointment. We had a spot saved for 11 am and I called at 11:30 and then again at 12:20. Chelsea answered both calls. The later call she was very rude and told me to have my husband go ahead and come in. When he got there she told him it would be a 45 minute wait. She informed him"I told your wife"! She did not tell me once he arrived an hour and a half after his spot that he would have to wait 45 minutes! I work in the medical field and I totally understand emergency situations that can get you behind but this girl was RUDE from the first communication with her!! Only because I can't give zero stars This morning, 5/11/2021, I took my daughter to Care Now in Rockwall, TX, where we have been many many times, to simply get a sports physical for school. I was told they were running a special for $20 for the school physicals so I said I would just pay that and not even worry about running it through insurance. When I went to check out, the bill was for $120 and no explanation so when I asked what the extra $100 was for this lady that worked there lost it. She called my daughter and I "bitches", when I asked "what did you just call us?" she replied "you heard me bitch", threw paperwork at me that landed on the floor, and when I asked her what her name was (as she was wearing no name tag), she refused to give it to me and started walking in the back office area screaming, no exageration she was literally screaming, I couldn't make out everything she was spewing nor do I know who she was talking to but I did hear "she can just have her husband forge it" "bitch", she then seemingly took a picture of me and my child and started yelling to whoever was in the back "tag them in everything! You post it too! Do it now!". My daughter, who is 14 years old, and now crying in the lobby, was listening to all of this along with a lobby full of other patients. I called my husband who could hear this going on through the phone because she was screaming so loud and asked "what do I do?" He said leave! But she had my credit card and the rest of the paperwork so I really couldn't. I asked the other lady sitting at the front desk, "what is her name?" and she replied' "no, I am not getting involved in her mess". I asked again for her name and the corporate phone number and she refused and would not give me her name either, the number to call, help me with getting the rest of my paperwork back or anything else. She pretended to get on the phone and ignore what was going on. Kylie, maybe Kyla (so sorry but it was insanity at this point and all I could think about was protecting my daughter), was the only one willing to help. She kept apologizing and discreetly wrote down the names of the other people and a phone number for me to call to tell them what was happening. I called immediately while I was sitting in my garage so it was as soon as possible after leaving as this Care Now is 1/2 mile from my house. The person without a name tag that called my daughter and I awful names and was acting absolutely irrational was named Kachina. In hindsight, I should have left when she called my daughter back to put her in a room. I thanked her for pronouncing my daughter's name correctly and she said "I wouldn't have but she told me how and if you were concerned about that you should have spelled it right" I just replied that it is the British spelling. And then she asked my daughter how tall she replied, "five foot three ish" To which she responded "how do you not even know how tall you are? what's wrong with you" My daughter is 14, she is growing, and btw she never did check her height she just put "53"-not 5'3" just 53- on the physical and put "110" for weight when the scale read 102 and when I asked where 110 came from she said it doesn't matter. Something is not right with Kachina becasue filling out medical paperwork however you feel like doesn't seem legal to me but I will double check with the medical board on that. Dr. Dimafelix was nice. Fast and efficient but nice and respectful. We had no real problems other than weirdness about height, weight and the spelling of my daughters name, until it was time to check out and leave. I am extremely concerned at this time about several things....1) this clearly disturbed person has all our information, address, employers, phone numbers, credit card, etc. 2) why did she seemingly take a picture and what in the world is she tagging my child in or myself and encouraging others to do the same 3) how many other people does she treat this badly and is she going to be allowed to continue to act this way? 4) Is she going to further harass my daughters, myself or my husband. We will obviously not be returning to this care now or any in the future. I do not know what other actions I can take to protect my family, or others in the public from her, but I will be looking into all options as this experience was absolutely terrifying for my family. read more

The on-line check in was awesome! I had my daughter in to see a doctor in about an hour while we waited at home until we got the call to head to the clinic. When we arrived, we were seen within 10 minutes. Both Nathan and Dr. Stanczak were thorough, professional, and gentle, with my very scared 12-year old. She hadn't really been sick before and was upset at the thought of missing a volleyball tournament the next day, but Dr. Stanczak was very compassionate. Although it was later in the day and we knew there were more patients for her to see, Dr. Stanczak took her time and didn't make any of us feel like she was in a hurry. Thank you! read more

Never saw this before. I was having really bad pain in my kidney area of the back saw I found this location near my house, and read that they closed at 9. I get there right before 8. Couldn't just walk in, had to set my appointment online, which kinda put me out because I was hurting. So, I submit it and sit and wait. They called me to the desk and told me that they had already reached their max appointments for the day, and for me to go find somewhere else. What kind of doctor turns someone away that's in obvious discomfort? Even if I had arrived a minute before closing instead of an hour, how could they turn me away.
