Dismissed me as a patient because I had to cancel and take care of my sick son. Dentist is rude, condescending, and sexist.

I had an implant in 2020 and it looked great at first until I eneded up with an abcess. Dr Chua did the implant, Dr Dowd did a surgery to clean up under the gum tissue of the implant. The problem was due to leaving cotton in the implant core, which led to the abcess. Dr.Dowd tried to resolve the issue, but never did a bone graft during the second surgery. It left my gum bruised looking and food could enter up underneath the gum tissue. I returned once again for help and Dr. Morgan denied cotton had been left, which makes no sense because his colleague did a surgery due to this problem?? He was rude and pulled periodontal floss under the gum causing it to bleed. I'm on blood thinners and have had two open heart surgeries! I just went to another oral surgeon who said there was substantial bone and gum tissue lost costing me another surgery and time off from work. Hopefully, it works or I will need another implant thanks to their negligence.

The office staff and dental associates were very welcoming, professional and caring. Dr. Chuah and Jill, her friendly dental associate, went out of their way to explain the procedure each step of the way and solicit questions. Once my surgery was underway, they were very good about checking in with me to confirm that I was doing okay. Even when Dr. Chuah encountered an unexpected challenge involving a wisdom tooth adjacent to my troublesome molar, she made me feel very much at ease by explaining what had occurred, how she was going to deal with it and then expertly addressing the issue in a most satisfactory way. Specifically, she ended up extracting both my impacted molar and wisdom tooth while maintaining my comfort throughout the procedure. Following my surgery, Dr. Chuah was very helpful in explaining what I needed to do in terms of follow-up and in answering a few questions that I had. Further, I was most impressed that, on the day following my surgery, Dr. Chuah called me herself, just to confirm that I was making a good recovery. In addition to being an excellent surgeon, Dr. Chuah clearly understands just how important clear and frequent communication is in facilitating a good patient experience. This is especially so with respect to oral surgery, which is an inherently stressful and uncertain procedure for most patients. If you need oral surgery, I would strongly encourage you to consider choosing Dr. Chuah and her team. Finally, I am most grateful to be living in an age and place where skilled doctors have the knowledge and resources to remedy so many of our medical problems. What George Washington would have given if he could have traveled through time and had Dr. Chuah address his many debilitating dental woes! Jay L.

Dr. Garibyan, an oral surgeon who specializes in "All-on-4," also known as full mouth implants, performs extractions, bone grafting, implants, places the prosthetic teeth, and can provide general anesthesia. Most cosmetic dentists I've met referred me to oral surgeons for tooth extractions, bone grafts, and implant surgery. The dentist only provides the implementation of the cosmetic teeth. I was quoted $45,000 for the oral surgery procedures and $45,000 for the dentist by four separate dental practices. Two of the practices didn't offer anesthesia, only novocaine and Xanax. One prosthodontist who didn't offer anesthesia actually told me that pulling all of my teeth and inserting metal implants into my jawbone wouldn't hurt! Patients of Dr. Garibyan seeking full mouth implants can avoid the exorbitant costs associated with using two dental professionals." Dr. Garibyan and his staff are very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. I am very pleased and relieved with my new implants and highly recommend Premier Center for Oral Surgery.

Worst experience I've ever had with a dentist's office. As a new patient I had filled out their…read moreforms and mailed them in about a month or so prior to my appointment (just a routine cleaning) to make sure everything went smoothly. I had to line up a babysitter for my two toddlers in order to go to the appointment. When I went in the tech acted like they had no information on me and started with the health history all over again. If they actually hadn't received the forms, you would think that they would have had me fill these out in the waiting room instead of the tech going through 2 pages of questions verbally. The first question she asked was if I'm under a doctor's care. I told her I'm under the care of an oncologist as I have breast cancer, but I am NOT currently on any treatment whatsoever as I have an upcoming surgery. The tech immediately stated that I would need clearance from my oncologist in order to receive a cleaning. I told her I don't need clearance as I'm not on any treatment (which means absolutely Nothing, no chemo, no medication), and if I needed clearance my oncologist would have told me so. She continued to insist that I need clearance and tried to call his office, which was not open for another hour. Then she tried to get me to come back in 3 hours. I told her I have two toddlers at home with a sitter and could not drag this out for another 3 hours waiting for a clearance that I don't need in the first place. She continued to go on about how its her license on the line even though I had signed an Informed Consent for Treatment document and sent it in with the rest of the paperwork. She made me feel as though I was a liar about not being on treatment, and a liability to her career because I have cancer. I finally gave up arguing with her and told her point blank that having cancer has already made my life a living hell, but now I can't even get my teeth cleaned because of it? Then I walked out the door. I understand the tech felt like she needed to keep herself covered but that's why they have patients fill out consent forms and release their liability if anything goes wrong. This office was beyond unprofessional, obviously disorganized, not to mention clueless and insensitive about their patients. I left there feeling as though I wasn't just a person needing a routine cleaning, just a big red X with cancer that they wanted nothing to do with.

They *insisted* that they were right and I was wrong, and no matter how much I tried to argue, they would not budge. Turns out, they were wrong, and I did not have medical coverage through my dental carrier. Two months after the procedure, after paying everything I was told to pay, I received a bill for over $1000. Upon inspection of the charges, after insurance payments were made, additional "adjustments" (charges) were added 5 weeks after the procedure. I am waiting for them to explain how their estimate was off by $1000, having sent multiple emails and left multiple voicemails. We were able to schedule the procedure for a short time after the initial consultation, which was nice. HOWEVER, 5 days before the appointment, I received a text to confirm my appointment for a different time than I had scheduled. When I called, they said that they had needed to move my appointment; first they said it was because they didn't have staff available, and when I kept pushing, they said that another patient needed that time more than I did. I asked why I hadn't been called to ask if I could take a later time or actually notified that my time had been changed; they said the text *was* my notification of the change. They grudgingly restored my appointment time, but not after making passive-aggressive comments about how they hoped i was okay with taking the time from someone who needed it more than I did. There seems to be a lack of professionalism in the scheduling department and practices in billing could be described as shady. I would go anywhere else.
