Back 6 years ago I lost my personal dentist who had become a personal friend. It's been hard for me to find another dentist that I would be able to trust and like. I'd gone to a couple of well-known dentists in the area only to find out that the work that was done was sub-par. Simple things like re-adhering a crown that 3 weeks later came off again or a simple filling that didn't stay. My experiences were not good, to say the least. Then I met Dr. Dalwin at a business meeting. He was very friendly and personable. I had a crown come off a few months later and decided to call him. He was able to fit me in quickly because he knew it was one of my front teeth. Hard to smile when working with the public like I do. He fixed that quickly and was very reasonably priced. Since then he has been my regular dentist and his office has performed cleanings, filled cavities and even put in a brand new crown on a tooth that was too far gone for a filling. All the work has been GREAT! One of the things that I like about Dr. Dalwin is the way he treats you as a patient. He literally relaxes you with his personability. His office is very personable with an excellent staff. If you're looking for a dentist that treats you like a person versus a $ sign adding to their bottom line then I would definitely say give Dr. Dalwin a call. You'll be glad you did. read more

I lost a tooth (and am paying for a very expensive implant) because Dr. Dalwin didn't refer me to another dentist to have a root canal. He simply prescribed penicillin and assured me the problem would clear itself up. And then he completely missed another abscessed tooth. Fortunately, I changed dentists in time to catch the 2nd tooth. read more

I am posting a follow-up review just to let other Yelpers know about my experience and be forewarned about the type of service this dentist provides. From the minute he put the crown on, I could tell there were very large gaps between the adjacent teeth. I was assured it was OK then and during follow-up appointments. I got a cleaning elsewhere and that dentist said the crown was improperly installed. I asked Dr. Dalwin about this and he said that "dental assistant women do not know what they are talking about". I saw another dentist for a cleaning and they too mentioned the bad crown so I went to a third dentist just to get another opinion and present Dalwin with abundant opinions that his work was not good. He offered to redo the work but that was not a reasonable option as he did a bad job the first time and then lied about it. I wanted a refund as I would need the bad crown redone. Rather than offer a refund, he mentioned the stature of limitations had passed and he could not be sued so I was out of luck. Luckily I have good legal advice and I pointed out that by confirming the work was good he actually extended the wrongdoing and could still be held liable in the court of law. Only when threatened with a lawsuit did he offer a 50% refund on his shoddy work. I took the offer just to be done with it. He said he would have to refund my money in two installments. He drug his feet and had to be called and reminded multiple times for the first payment which took months to come and again for the second payment. All told, I waited EIGHT MONTHS before he actually paid me what he promised. I get the crown replaced in two weeks and guess what? I am being charged half of what he charged for the same crown! Bad service at 200% of the cost. This guy is terrible avoid him like a root canal. read more

This place is a time capsule, but not in a good way. It feels like a funeral home upon entering. From the dimly lit reception area (so much so I though the place was closed when I walked by), the heavily scented Yankee Candle burning in the corner (didn't know they made an "Old Person Musk" scent), and the solid gold oldies playing over the speakers, I almost left before my appointment started. It felt like the type of place you would go to get plastic surgery from an unlicensed doctor. The chairs in the waiting room were FILTHY, mismatched, and on the verge of falling apart. They looked as if they came from a yard sale 10 years ago. The hygienist was very nice and professional. She did a great job with the cleaning and the xrays, but holy hell lets talk about the area she had to work in. The dentist chair was, I kid you not, draped WITH A TRASH BAG to cover over the rips/tears/holes in the upholstery. This thing was not the good type of vintage. I suspect Jesus was a patient here at one point and sat in this very chair. The finishes in the room (cabinets, counter tops, sink, etc) were pulled straight from your crazy aunts house who hasn't updated the decor since the 70's. Flat/dark colors, lots of linoleum, and cobwebs on the ceiling. The cherry on top was the fluorescent light covers in the ceiling; they were the ones colored to look like a blue sky with birds, kites, clouds, and such. Dr. Bruce was a very nice gentleman. Obviously very experienced and knowledgeable in his craft, but he NEEDS to retire. He has obvious mobility problems and I suspect his sight and motor skills are not up to snuff anymore. He poked a few of my teeth incoherently, and was gone from the room after 5 minutes. I suspect the good Dr. is the reason this place has not been updated since Joan of Arc was a client. He seems like the type to hold onto the past. Very nice guy, but he should be golfing instead. read more
