So I was prescribed compression stockings by my vascular surgeon. I was told Care Rx was the only facility that provided them by RX. yesterday I went to see how the pricing compared to just purchasing outright or using Insurance. When I pulled into the parking lot my first thought was that it was a sad looking facility. I went into the store and it looked as sad inside as out. There was a pathetic gift store and then the pharmacy. I approached the pharmacy and was told that I needed to go to the other side of the store for stockings. When I approached the woman behind the desk, with her pizza sitting in front of her on the counter, I asked if she could help me. Her answer was a very curt, yes and what was my name. I gave it to her, she jumped up from the chair, grabbed a piece of paper out of a file, and went behind a divider. Her next question was who was my insurance, no please, no thank you, no nothing. I told her. She then says, we don't take that insurance from behind the divider with no empathy, no appologies, no nothing. So I asked what could I do? Her answer was that I could pay for them, that they didn't take my insurance.
My gut reaction was to dress her down in spades, but I didn't. I left the store and said to the counter help on the way out, "if I employed her, she'd be gone. What an attitude." I then drove home and emailed Care Rx. Only to find it's independently owned. So here's my review.
