Would not use this company ever again. I ordered almost $400 worth of envelopes from cards and pockets for my wedding invitations only for the adhesive to not stick. I tried licking them, water, adhesive tape rollers, zip dry glue, super glue. These envelopes are so cheaply made and I spent hours across multiple days just trying to get them sealed. They just keep popping open. Very displeased considering the money and time I spent to make beautiful invitations only for them to potentially not arrive to their destination because the envelope won't seal. read more

When looking for wedding invitations I wanted to be able to have something of good quality at an affordable cost. I researched the internet and came across Cards and Pockets. With their company you have the freedom to customize your invitation anyway you want. Before I ordered samples I had called to ask about color specifics and the person I spoke with was helpful. When I got my samples in the mail I loved the quality and colors. So with my crafty skills, at home printer, and invitation materials I was able to make 150 invitations at $2.13 a piece. That's a great savings for me, because some vendors wanted $5-$6 per invite. Overall, I am very content with how carefully everything was packaged and sorted. I ordered several pieces- pocket invitations, mats, inserts, rsvp cards, envelopes, tissue layers, glue for envelopes, and glue for invitation layers. I did not get any printing on my items but I was worried about selecting the wrong inserts/mat sizes so I called customer service to see if they could double check. I spoke with Jeanine, she reviewed my order number and assured me the items would fit into each other. She also told me to put her name in the notes section and she would personally make sure everything corresponded. That made me feel so much more comfortable before I hit 'complete' at checkout. I read other reviews on here and I feel bad for those who had such an unhappy experience. I understand we all went online and purchased at our own risk, but always read disclaimers on refunds and if uncertainty call customer service! Some of the problems could have been resolved if they had picked up the phone and dialed before ordering. Lastly, I did want to mention that they also have free templates available on their websites which they can print for you, again make sure to call to see if your file size will fit your invitation mat. There's also an option to have them assemble the invitation for an additional cost. I did my own printing at home to cut down on cost. C&P will be on my radar next time I need invitations. read more

From start to finish, I had a stellar experience with Cards and Pockets. I used them for supplies and also for printing for my own wedding invitations. Great for confident/experienced DIYers and graphic designers. Things I love about cards and pockets: 1) You can order just the amount that you need. You don't have to order things in multiples of 25 or 100, etc. 2) When I got my prints and supplies, everything was shrink wrapped separately! This may sound stupid to someone who doesn't print things often. Shrink wrapping is something you have to pay extra for from other printers. It helped keep everything in order and undamaged while shipping. 3) I love the fact that they have so many colors and options for paper. I'm hooked and will definitely be using them in the future. 4) I loved their proofing department. I had overlooked some margins in my documents, putting some text too close to the edge...They sent me an email right away and I was able to fix it before the files went to print. 5) TURNAROUND TIME IS AMAZING!!! I submitted my files on the 14th and they were here today! That's CRAZY! Most of the time, you have to pay extra for your files to go to print any sooner than 5 business days! 6) The website was awesome to use. They even have the CMYK values of all the paper colors available! I was also surprised to see that they have an order tracking component to the accounts. 7) Their proofing and samples. I loved that I could order samples with free shipping and also the proofs were awesome. When you receive proofs for ANYTHING like this, it's not going to be cut. You should be able to see your bleed/cut lines and other info that they include. I am a photographer/graphic designer...so a few of the negative reviews here definitely had me rolling my eyes. If you're not a graphic designer, don't assume that you can send off correct files for printing just because you consider yourself "creative." I had my heart set on Pocket Invitations since we began planning our wedding 14-months earlier. I searched through hundreds, perhaps thousands, of options online and finally found the one single pocket invitation I'd been searching for all along. It was perfect. The colors were spot on (wine and gold), which matched perfectly with the Pocket I'd picked out from Cards & Pockets and there were four inserts (& not the standard three) I'd wanted. I purchased the template for the invitation and all four inserts from an independent Graphic Design Artist online. The templates were easy enough to edit and I happily sent them off to Cards & Pockets for printing, months ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, the files weren't formatted properly for them to use! We worked closely with Dan Felix at Cards & Pockets, who was AMAZING, to try to get them formatted properly. No luck. We contacted the person we had purchased them from originally and she was no help. A month or two of failed attempts left us hopeless and quite honestly, completely devastated. Dan at Cards & Pockets reached out to Christine Tartaglia at TAG Design, a professional colleague, for help & she was able to get our Invitations and Inserts properly formatted to print! A true miracle worker. We were over-the-moon happy. Cards & Pockets' website was also incredibly informative and we found many embellishments we loved - mats, belly bands and monogrammed accent pieces - which we hadn't thought of adding previously. When all was said and done, from the cardstock to the calligraphy and everything in between, our Invitations were flawless. We continue to receive compliments on our stationary and many of our guests said they really set the tone for our wedding day and they knew, from the beginning, it was going to be over the top and elegant. I ordered about 100 invitation cards: printing and mounting of the pocket invitation sets. DISCLAIMER: The cards, in the end, were good. We used them, people liked them, and no one noticed anything drastically wrong with it. But honestly, so many things were wrong that I was just happy that the cards fit into the envelope. -First of all, the samples. The Samples, which you have to pay for, were worthless. They don't cut the samples so that you can see what their cutting skills are like. They used a completely different quality paper than the actual products later. The print quality was TERRIBLE for just one of the cards, but the notes they sent with the prints didn't even ask for better quality files. My RSVP was printed in an enormous size for some reason, even though I asked for a 3x5 size, and the design I sent was also a 3x5 design. The samples were so bad that I considered not going with them. My friend recommended this place and we were short for time, and I really liked their pocket options and colors however, so I decided to take a leap of faith. The actual invites were MUCH better than the samples, thank goodness. I am fully convinced that the samples must be printed at a different place than the actual printer. - The website is terribly difficult to figure out if you are trying to coordinate both printing, mounting, and purchasing of the pocket suites from them. Thankfully, the chat function of the website works well, and the person you get connected with are generally nice and helpful. The person did recommend to me though that I should get standard envelopes instead of outer envelopes if I am only using one type, and the envelopes ended up being a nearly too tight fit. The invites literally have to be yanked in or out. - I was so nervous about the bad samples that I e-mailed a few times trying to get them to confirm that all the sizes were going to be good this time. I asked if they could let me know whether or not the files were going to work out. They answered the standard questions and answers (gave me the standard delivery time, etc) but was not able to give me a response about whether the actual files were going to be okay. - the actual quality. The print job is okay. It wasn't the best, but definitely was not bad. The actual pockets however and the envelopes were slightly off in color, even though I ordered both colors to be peach. What is the point of order both the invites and invitation pockets from the same place in the same color if they aren't going to actually be the same? Also, it was nice that seem to have sent us extra RSVP cards and information cards, but we were actually short 2 envelopes, which wasn't cool. In short: confusing website. customer service tries to be nice but isn't actually informative. super bad samples that don't represent the actual products. print quality is okay, and the products are okay. The pocket invites were too tight of a fit with the envelopes once stuffed, and the colors of the invites and envelopes did not match perfectly. My relationship with Cards & Pockets started off a little rocky when I first ordered samples of pockets, paper, and envelopes when creating my wedding invitations. Basically, I ordered a set of a certain color (purple) and I received green. Totally not what I ordered, but they were willing to correct the error and make it right, which they did. That act alone gave them my business. When I found out that their office was located right across the street from where I worked, they offered to hold my order and allow me to pick up in person, saving time and shipping cost! For the do-it-yourself bride, this place is a goldmine. However, if you're new to desktop publishing, graphic design, or type layout, creating your own invitations using Cards & Pockets may not be for you. If you're unsure of bleed lines, cut lines, proofing, the difference between a deskjet and a commercial printer, and layout, you may want to hire a graphic designer (or even a graphic design student at the local college at a fraction of the price) to do the actual formatting and sizing for you. But, if you do have experience with all of the above, this is a great way to save money and have fun making your own invitations. First off, they conduct all of their business online. There is no "showroom" per se. The colors of their products do differ a little from what you see online (on your computer monitor), so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing samples just to make sure you know exactly what you want. I ordered the pockets I wanted and several sheets of paper so I knew how things would print along with envelopes. Once I had my invitations designed in Photoshop, they took it from there. It was super easy to send them the files, the sizes, and the quantity of what I needed along with the paper requirements. Cards & Pockets also offers commercial printing done in-house that is competitive with the likes of Staples, OfficeMax, etc. I opted to have my invitations printed and cut to the appropriate size. In fact, they even bonded the mat to my pocket (although I wanted the printed invitation bonded to the mat ... bonding it to the pocket is easy enough). The printing came out fabulous and everything was cut to size accurately. Using this method, I was able to get my invitations down to roughly $2/invitation with pockets, paper, envelopes, and printing. When I placed my order, they did not offer envelope printing, but I found their envelopes to be compatible with most laserjet printers. Saving time and saving money! Everyone loved my invitations and I can definitely say I will recommend Cards & Pockets to anyone looking to go down the do-it-yourself route. But be forewarned, the turn-around time isn't always quick, so if you are in a time crunch, I would certainly ask them for accurate placement and shipping times. The one thing that I did always know I wanted to include in our wedding, however, was as many DIY elements as possible starting from our invitations. As a schoolteacher and self-proclaimed arts and crafts fanatic, I thought it would be unique to make our own invitations by hand. Since we are having a multicultural wedding, I knew I wanted the invites to be bilingual. My fiance and I scoured the Internet to find a source for pocket invitations with multiple panels. We finally found a specialized bilingual invitation panel on Cards and Pockets! The prices weren't bad either. We ordered samples from Cards and Pockets and they all arrived nicely packaged. We had a hard time picking out the exact shade of purple and silver we wanted to use, but ended up loving what we did choose. We did experience some shipping delays due to the fact that Cards and Pockets gets the bilingual invitations panel on special order from another company. It turns out that the company had shipped the wrong color to C and P so we had to wait longer than usual for our invitation supplies. However, the Customer Service was very good about getting back to us (it took a few days at a time sometimes) and reassuring us that we would receive our order as soon as humanly possible. I am deducting one star because it turns out that this is a family-owned business and they are sometimes shorthanded, which means it might take a while for them to reply to emails. Overall, I would highly recommend this company to anybody, even beyond the MA borders. Their prices are pretty reasonable. In fact, we ended up spending probably less than $4 per invitation and that includes us asking them to mount the colored cardstock backing to the pocket. Our guests were so impressed with the invitations that nobody believed we had made them ourselves! i ordered my envelopes almost three weeks ago with no communication from them. I emailed them two weeks ago asking about the delay and they told me they ran out of my specific color for my envelopes and are waiting for the new shipment to come in!!! It is very poor customer service to not inform the buyer they are out of stock very soon after placing the order. if they had let me know within the first 5 days of placing the order, I would have chosen a different color but I did not find out about it until two weeks later after I had to ask! now my wedding invitations are delayed. Also they they told me they would overnight ship the remaining pieces of my order, it has been three days and they are still not here!! we are getting close to the the RSVP date on my invitations and they have still not gone out due to cards and pockets. will never be buying from them again. they fooled me with timely delivery and shipment of samples. also as a side note, if you plan on having cards and pockets print your return address on the RSVP envelope, that will take extra time which they do not state anywhere before you purchase the envelopes! you find out later with an email from them after you buy them saying the whole order will take a least another 5 business days to ship. It was not until I got engaged and started researching on wedding invitations did I realize how expensive they are. Depending on the design, layout, type of print, type of paper and etc, the cost of the invitation can easily go up to $8-$10 per set (and that's to one person/address!). In addition, that doesn't even include assembly most of the time! So not only do you pay $8-$10 for one invitation set, but you also need to spend time assembling it yourself unless you pay even more money to have them assembled for you! So...I decided to design my own invitation. I found a good printing site, but I needed the rest of the materials to complete my layered/pocketfold invitation suite. Then I stumbled on Cards & Pockets. They had a large variety of colors of pocketfolds and mats (for layering). The price is very reasonable. Moreover, they also provide clear instructions on the card and stock sizes so that everything will have a consistent border size. I ordered all my materials from them, but did not print my invitation with them as I found another company with more paper options. The only issue I encountered was that they ran out of the color of the RSVP envelope I had ordered. They did not notify me right away, nor did the website state that it was back-ordered. Eight days after placing my order, I received a message indicating that the specific RSVP envelope color I wanted has been out of stock, and it would not arrive from their manufacturer for another 8-10 business days. They did give me the option to choose another color, but it was too late for me to find another alternative at that point since my cards have all gone to print and I had matched all the colors already. In the end, I had to choose a different color due to the time constraint. I wasn't completely happy with the experience, but at least the materials I received are good quality. read more

Please let me begin by saying their products are easy to find and quite useful when putting together a multiple step invitation/card. Having said that their reputation lacks a bit on terms of their accuracy in sending... I did not learn that until too late. When I took the time to put together my holiday card I found out I was shy by more than just one or two items for my three step holiday card. No problem I figured...I sent an email asking them to overnight the missing components. I got a reply saying I was not within the window of time to point out any mistakes on their part. I was 10 days since delivery... I was told I only had 7. And then I was told that they could send them but I would have to pay for shipping. Seems absurd when I had already paid for shipping and I was not asking for some thing that I did not already paid for ... not to mention this order and my others were not inexpensive. They have outstanding customer service, and their shipping is incredibly fast (granted I live in MA). The other bonus is the sample packs they have - which makes the color/size selection awesome. We ordered our cards on the 12/28 and as of 1/25, we are still missing our accommodation inserts. After notifying Cards and Pockets on 1/12 that these were missing from our order, they shipped the original template for the insert instead of the 120 we ordered. When we finally received the template and notified them on 1/21 about the mistake and let them know we needed to send them out by Friday, they did not ship the inserts until 1/25 and shipped second day. I understand a company making a mistake but making a second mistake and making no effort to rectify was very disappointing. read more

Great experience ordering from Cards and Pockets. I had ordered multiple samples with free shipping. Some I got the next day and others I got in a week. I really liked the lined envelope as the lining went down to the bottom of the envelope. I had order samples from another company and theirs was only lined halfway which you could tell when looking at the envelope. So the quality of Cards and Pockets was definitely better. I ended up ordering brushed mirror gold mat paper, tissue paper, and addressed RSVP and invitation envelopes. I had a great experience working with Lea with the envelopes. She sent me an e-proof the day after I ordered. She was nice to provide in two fonts I was choosing between. I sent back a few changes and she sent me a revised e-proof and we were ready to go! I live in MA, but decided to "splurge" on the UPS ground shipping so I could receive the envelopes the next day. At around $10.50, It thought that this was worth it. I found that the envelope paper was thick, pebbled texture (which I thought made it seem richer), and I liked the font choice. Also, the prices were very fair. When I received the envelopes, I was a little disappointed when I noticed that the edges of the envelopes were a little crinkled, but overall, they're just envelopes! After receiving a few of the RSVP cards back, I'm a little disappointed that some of the envelopes look like the font has faded a tad. No big deal though.
