I went to my primary care physician and due to a fast heart rate and slightly high blood pressure…read moreat the time, she referred me to Dr. Hutchinson at Chesapeake Cardiac Care. Let me begin by saying that I hate being late so I'm always at a doctor's appointment a few minutes early to check in, pay my co-pay, and so forth. Every time that I've come here....EVERY SINGLE TIME...I was seen exactly at my appointment time, definitely no more than 5 minutes past that. It annoys me to my inner being to have an appointment for something and still have to wait another 15-20 minutes or more to be seen. I never had this problem here. The staff at the front desk are very nice and helpful. I forgot to get a doctor's note a few times and they kindly faxed one over to me when I needed it so I didn't have to make the extra trip and go back to get one. Dr. Hutchinson is very nice and always has a smile on her face. I get a little anxious whenever I go to the doctor and her smile and friendliness helped to ease that a little bit. She had me get a few tests done and everything was in good shape. Although I hope I don't have to see a cardiologist again any time soon, if the time comes, I'll definitely be coming back to Chesapeake Cardiac Care.

Dr. Peters is also very easy to talk to about embarrassing symptoms. I had been referred to him fresh off the heels of going to the ER before my diagnosis, it was a scary time. Had my first colonoscopy last year and it went so smooth. I see him a few times a year so we can adjust my medication accordingly. I will certainly be heartbroken when he stops practicing. This week, I was in a time crunch and had to be seen on his day off, was instead brought to a nurse for concerns of my flare symptoms. She was tense, rushed, short with me-- maybe I'm just spoiled from Dr. Peters or maybe they were just busy, but I didn't leave feeling good about my experience. From now on, I'll just make sure I can see him, for I definitely feel like I'm being taken care of.

I would have to travel though, 2 hr drive one way, leaving time for road issues. First initial visit was fine and thorough. Scheduled to have an Endoscopy/Colonoscopy. Had said procedure, went well, but when it came time for follow-up visit for results we ran into traffic issues and was 20 minutes late. they completely refused to see me. Told them given the distance to get there, we leave extra time but even that wasn't enough this time, wasn't gonna reschedule just to chance going through that again. No Empathy, cold, nor consideration that my disabilities make it hard to keep traveling distances as it is. I always end up in bed the entire day after travesl to recoup. Dr told them to tell me that I could wait to see another provider but then I could not be seen by her ever again. . I have never missed or been late for an appointment anywhere in all my life, so this was my first experience with, cold, rude, uncompationate, could care less experience with this matter. So, we left. Wasn't no one else even on waiting room, I would have even sat and waited for fit in, but wasn't option for them I guess. No results explained from procedure and the biopsies that were done, no explanation for excessive sudden weight loss. Hopefully my primary will receive all records to cover results with me at my physical next month.
