My doctor was listening and i felt heard. The office staff were prompt, professional and kind. I would recommend.

I've met with Dr. Fisher a few times now regarding an A-fib issue. He has been helping me manage and treat it. Like any good doctor's office, convenient appointment times can be a challenge, but the staff has been very accommodating, and I try to be patient. From the receptionists to the nurses and specialists who handle the pre-appointment work, everyone has been kind, courteous, and professional. Dr. Fisher is easy to talk to, and I don't feel that he avoids discussions or sugarcoats anything. I follow his recommendations, and so far, I've had no issues. Every single time (3) I have left this office it has been either severely injured, or crying. First, they burnt through multiple layers of my skin doing an at home heart monitor that was put on incorrectly and I still have the scars today. Secondly, the doctor told me I was fat because I gained 30 pounds out of no where due to medication and didn't have a heart problem (later diagnosed by another cardiologist with an actual brain with POTS, so go figure). Third time went in for a same day surgical clearance and for the first time in my 8-9 surgeries they wanted a chemical stress test, and a echocardiogram in order to clear me. Further delaying, cancelling my surgery. These tests are unnecessary, they're ridiculous. They go AGAINST guidelines, and the doctors there know that. Absolutely horrible experience at the Tollhouse location with Dr. Steven Fisher. Dr. Fisher refused to pull up the images from my tests, saying he did not have them up and did not feel like finding the images. When I attempted to ask questions around my symptoms and next steps, he refused to answer, citing that this was "a follow up appt". When I asked again for understanding of my results and issues, he told me that he did not have to answer my questions or review my tests with me. He offered me barely five minutes of time. He told the nurse to not bother taking my vitals. Neglectful care and abusive tone and behavior appear to be the standard from him - seek care from anyone else. read more

Let's start in the very beginning. The front receptionist is not a welcoming receptionist Very dry and uncaring I saw Dr Abdullah and I have no problems with him except for the medication Let me explain. Twice already I need medication and it was never submitted to the CVS pharmacy. I had to go in myself to request it and both times they told me that the medication was sent earlier the day I went. The first time it was never sent. I had to request it again. This time, I don't really know if it was sent or not, but I am devastated The nurse that told me that the medication was sent to CVS was not helpful at all She just washed her hands. I asked her to talk to a supervisor and she told me I could speak to the provider at the end of the day. Now I have not had my medication for two days and this could lead me to death. It appears that nobody wants to hear our problems nor solve them. If we go to a cardiologist, it's because you have a serious problem I hope they will solve this immediately. They use to be good, now they are not. One receptionist is rude on the phone. They started billing me from 2019-2020-2021-2022 in 2024. These bills have been paid called the billing office several times with no return phone call. Asked them to send all their records of payments I have made, they said they have none. They keep saying I haven't paid since 2019, but you keep seeing me? They never told my husband he had an aortic aneurysm, had to find out 3 years. later from a chest X-ray read more

I would stay away from this office. They or more interested in setting appointments and will hold your medication hostage until you make an appointment. The expectation is you see them every three months. Who has time for that? I offered just to send them money and they can write down I visited, I don't care. I go twice a year and have a stress test once a year and you would think that is enough money. They are just a patient factory to see how many they can get thru the process. read more

FAIL! After my heart attack I was assigned a doctor from this practice. I want a new one. My appointments are so fast, it feels like he's trying to rush me out the door. My follow up after surgery? ... he was 40 minutes late, talked for 4 minutes and then walked me down the hall to reschedule. Subsequent appointments have been just as rushed. The most recent one was telehealth, where he was 25 minutes late, and we only spoke because I called the office. Meanwhile the office was literally calling to tell me I missed my appointment while I was on the other line with the doc. When I called them back they admitted, "oh yeah .. it does say telehealth in the appointment notes." Ridiculous!! You want long wait times, hurried interactions and a practice that lacks attention to detail? That's exactly what I get here. I suggest you seriously look for another cardiologist. read more

I am 54 years old with extensive heart issues including an aneurysm. Dr. Patel did nothing about it. Didn't care about it and when my carotid tests came back, the first one showing a 70% blockage and the second test only a 15% blockage he didn't even care that obviously one of them wasn't right. Your blockage doesn't go away by itself with no treatment but he never questioned the differences. There was also false statements in my records. He wrote that he spoke extensively with my husband and I about the aneurysm which was a flat out lie. He treated me as though I was bothering him. If you want to live a healthy life, I wouldn't go to Dr. Patel. read more

Absolutely horrendous practice. If you call to schedule an appointment, expect to wait at least an hour. I called one day exactly one minute after they opened and was waiting 40 minutes! Then, when you go for your appointment, they'll be at least 45 minutes behind. If I show up 45 minutes late you cancel my appointment and charge me anyway, but if you're 45 minutes late you just expect me to sit there and wait. They definitely don't value your time. I was stupid and agreed to have a test done there. I was told that I'd have the results the next week and I'd receive a phone call about the next steps. I never received one, so I went there IN PERSON (because that's genuinely the only way to get answers without waiting on hold for over an hour). I was told that they're under staffed and over worked and I'll have it by the end of the next week. Now I understand there's a global pandemic going on, but every other doctor I've been to has figured out how to handle it. Without long wait times and spending insane amounts of time on hold. So figure it out guys! Needless to say it's been three weeks and I still don't have my test results. I'll be going to a different doctor this week and never going back here. read more

Surprise blocked LAD led me to former provider in this office, Dr. Makadia, who literally saved my life. After he moved on, stayed with the practice to maintain continuity and convenient location and reputation of Dr. Patel. Now nearly 5 years post-surgery and establishment of maintenance treatment, doing very well and visits few. I see nurse practitioner due to stable and successful outcome, but still receive prompt attention to any issue. At this point, my health is largely dependent on my efforts, but advice and treatment have been spot on with good result and always available if needed. Dr. Makadia's easy informative and explanatory manner is missed, but the NP is equally approachable and informative. Hospital-based coverage is excellent with top notch providers. Office staff does seem to have high turnover, so not sure what issue is, but overall satisfied. read more

Dr Patel was one of the most professional and caring doctors I've been to. I've been treating chronic Lyme disease for many years and have been ridiculed from most specialists. Dr. Patel ordered and preformed multiple tests within his very comprehensive practice and treated me with in-depth knowledge of my health issues and concerns. Extremely disappointed in the level of care my mom received this year. She sees him every few months only to not get any answers for her discomfort after multiple ER visits. Finally, another Dr saw and diagnosed my mom with CHF after my mom had followed up with Patel the previous week after two ER visits only to say she was okay and did not order other tests. After another admission to FMH, Paresh came in to see her at FMH wanting to discharge her after a cath, and he said a TEE could be done out patient but I refused her discharge and requested the TEE be done there. She was not at her baseline. She not only has CHF, her EF was down to 20%, and her heart valves were not functioning well. She was immediately transferred from FMH to UMMC for a week having to get every test done again before they decided what to do because her heart was in poor condition, and now has to have open heart surgery. All of this missed, by Patel and the group. read more

Dr. Patel was not the first cardiologist that have have been to. He will be the only cardiologist that I go to in the future. I have an extensive family history of cardio issues. All testing was done as quickly as possible. Dr Patel explain everything that they would be doing and why they where doing each test. He also explain that because of my family history even though I passed my stress test we should still do a Cath. Glad we did that end up with one stent . He doesn't do the stent or by pass if needed. I was sent to Washington DC. Again very professional. This is what they do and do a great job doing it. read more

My husband and I have been patients at Cardiology Associates of Frederick for years. Dr. Patel has a State of the Art facility. Several years ago my husband called his office on the way home from work to advise Dr. Patel he was having chest pain. He was advised to go directly to the hospital where Dr. Patel met him and an angioplasty was done immediately. Two years ago during a Thursday ultrasound Dr. Patel's staff noticed several blockages in Ed's arteries he was referred directly to the hospital thinking he would again insert stents on Friday. After several other tests it was found he had three blocked arteries. Dr. Patel referred Ed to Washington Hospital where as on Monday morning he had triple by pass surgery that saved his life. We have now referred our young grandson who was just diagnosed with a heart murmur to Dr. Patel as we would not trust him to anyone else.
