As with each barre3 location i have personally experienced for myself, the instructors at this location are warm, welcoming, exceptional & challenging. barre3 is a beautiful, "full-body balanced workout" that boils down to a unique blend of yoga, pilates, & ballet (barre) work. i've tried alllll the boutique fitness classes & studios, genres, methods/styles etc., you name it...and barre3 is the most fulfilling, enjoyable, & challenging workout experience i've had! Don't get it twisted - each barre3 class i've ever taken has been extremely intense & difficult, but the physical, mental, & emotional health improvements & peaks are well worth it! Barre3's website describes it best, "Our innovative approach combines low-impact isometric moves, large-range cardio bursts, and mind-centering breathwork." - and for each of those details, i'm in love! the cherry on top of the barre3 sundae is that their co-founder/CEO, Sadie Lincoln, is an absolute role model, leader queen! (ProTip: she also teaches & has some of their most-killer recorded classes in their online inventory!) In addition to studio classes, they offer at-home recorded & live workouts. Their in-store merchandise is consistently a cute & comfortable selection that they rotate seasonally - they cover the typical workout leggings, tanks, tops, barre socks, etc. And, you get a 10% discount off of their retail merchandise if you have a membership with them. Price point is on par with other higher-end, boutique-style fitness studios in Austin, & more affordable if you have a monthly employee benefit for expensing & getting partial/full reimbursement for gym membership. They do offer a student, teacher, and military discount off of their membership. They offer a free first class, so grab a friend who is also new to Barre3 & go check em out !

I had a very…read moreuncomfortable and unprofessional experience that left me questioning whether this studio values member privacy. When pregnant, as required, I signed the studio's pregnancy waiver and had a walk-through with an instructor on how to properly modify movements. I've been following those modifications safely and consistently. During a class, I quietly adjusted certain exercises to pregnancy-safe variations. Instead of pulling me aside or checking in privately, the instructor stopped class and asked me -- in front of the entire room -- why I was doing something different. She then directly asked me if I was pregnant, putting me on the spot to disclose something very personal that I had not chosen to share publicly yet. This was extremely uncomfortable and unnecessary. The studio already had my waiver on file, and I had been trained by another instructor on modifications. Pregnancy is a private matter, and calling it out to a room full of strangers is unprofessional and disrespectful. I want to emphasize that I take responsibility for my own safety and modifications -- and I appreciate instructors who are attentive. But there is a right way to handle member privacy, and this was absolutely the wrong way. If you're considering Club Pilates and value discretion, be aware that your personal health information may not be treated with the sensitivity you'd expect.

I received a guest pass for a cycle workout from my Yelp friend Airon Andrews…read more I was impressed with the gym. There are so many amenities...snack shop, free towels, hydro massage chairs, Normatek compression boots, cold therapy chairs, pool, and real massages. The cycle class by dynamic instructor David Garza was quite a workout! It was only 30 minutes long but energy packed! I was familiar with the Soul Cycle type classes, which include push-ups while cycling. But this class introduced dance style moves, such as swaying hips. It was a real dance party! I was exhausted but feeling great afterwards. We partook of the Normatek compression boots, which were good therapy for my recently injured knee. The hydro massage chairs were taken, so we skipped that. All in all, this high end gym was a great experience. I would join, except my insurance does not cover the gym because it is considered "premium."

This time it was lifetime who booked me for 60 min when I wanted 30 min. I'm so over the spa here / they never have an esthetician available and charge $95 for a 30 min massage which is expensive by any means and the front desk manager is a bitch!

I stood there for a moment trying not to interrupt, but when she finally looked up she seemed visibly annoyed, almost like a "what do you want?" expression. I let her know I was there for the Silks class and she told me to go to the building across the parking lot. The interaction felt pretty short and awkward. Aerial Silks is already intimidating if you have no experience, so having this type of first impression really made me question if I even wanted to patron the establishment. That said, the class itself completely turned the experience around. Ashley, our instructor, was fantastic. She was super patient, encouraging, and kind. Aerial silks can be intimidating if you're new, but she made the class fun and approachable. I ended up having a great time and almost forgot about the front desk interaction by the end of it. If the front desk experience had matched the quality of the class, this would easily be a 5-star review. I would definitely come back for Ashley's class, especially now that I know I can go straight to the other building.

We are all at various fitness levels from extremely fit and lifting weights several times a week to overweight and having never done a fitness program in their life. Not only did Hank put together several boot camps to fit our schedules, but he set them up so that people of various activity levels would be able to participate. He is constantly changing the workout so that we don't get bored week to week and he is always coming up with challenging activities that make us laugh and have fun with each other - tug of war, carrying tractor tires, swinging sledgehammers, and even pulling the "glob" (a 300lb rock) with a rope - that one was nearly impossible! He modifies the workout for each person as needed. I have bad knees, someone else had a broken foot and has been in a boot, and a third person has issues with her shoulders. He quickly comes up with alternative exercises to make sure we stay safe and injury free. He also knows his nutrition and will often give us input and advice free of charge. We are enjoying these workouts so much that several of us have gone from not working out at all to going to boot camp 3 to 4 times a week! It's only been about 6 weeks and I can feel a difference in how my clothes fit and see a difference with several of the other participants!
