The Oxygen studio by Gilmore skytrain station has the poorest layout. It's a shame that changing…read moreroom, cubbyholes plus the one and only washroom are inside the studio, where classes are taking place. It's a complete gong show in between two classes, lots of people going in and out, and waiting to use the washroom. That's not a very relaxing, grounding way to start a class. The yoga instructor didn't introduce herself, and didn't ask if anyone is injured. Throughout the class, she didn't provide modification in postures besides chaturanga. Towards the last 10-15 minutes, because people are waiting for next class outside, the wind down and savasana portion was getting pretty loud, definitely not how I want to end a class.

I've been coming to Oxygen for a bit over a year now and really enjoyed the variety of Yoga &…read moreFitness classes. It's also really convenient with a punch pass so I can drop in whenever I want and not commit to an unlimited membership. Freedom Flow (Courtney): Traditional style of yoga that engages your entire body. This class completely changed my previous perception of yoga. Holding the poses challenged my strength, flexibility, and balance. This is probably my absolutely favourite class at Oxygen. I love Courtney's class in particular because her instructions are super clear and her flows are both fun and challenging! I find that my mind is so focused on what I'm doing that the hour just flies by. I always leave feeling much more positive than when I came in. Fast and Furious (Courtney): Intense fitness class that involves weights, bands, and a pilates ball. This workout is great when you want to incorporate more cardio moves and push your limits! -- This class always fills up, so make sure you book your spot in advance on the Mindbody app. Bootcamp Fusion (Carla): Circuit class (about 20 stations) incorporating HIIT cardio, weights, and body weight exercises. Love this class because she plays fun and current music. -- No yoga mat required I encourage everyone to switch up their workouts by trying out some classes at oxygen! You can try their newbie promo ($10 for 1 week unlimited) and see if these types of workouts suit your lifestyle :)

I called after my late night shift looking for parking info & club amenities. Took me over an hour…read morewith intermittent calling to finally reach someone. They had zero clue. Kept trying to hang up on me (aka put me on hold) - fool me once! I only wanted to know where to park & amenities. She said parking off Kingsway. Ok, Kingsway & ??? I asked like 10X. She couldn't answer. Completely incompetent staff cannot even guide off-duty ppl where to park.

I'm having a great time in this gym, so I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I also do…read morethink that the sales rep in this gym was pushy. However, I do understand where they're coming from. It's their job to make a sale. I don't blame them for being pushy. As for the cleanliness, I could only speak for the areas I see. The women's washrooms are definitely clean. The gym floor is also tidy, and the equipment is grouped nicely and well maintained. I did get the 6-month personal training. I did this to make sure I'm doing the correct excise for the right muscles. I'm not gym savvy, so I need help in this area. My PT's name is Elaine. She's wonderful. She does not only teach you the form, she tells who which muscle groups should be engaged and why it is important to work those muscles out. I am very much pleased with my training as I learn a lot. I am making the most out of it. As for my gym membership, I've only managed to take advantage of bodyjam class. This is a dance class and is so much fun. I like Maureen and Glen. I think they're both cool. I have yet to take the yoga class and RPM class (spin class). I'm pretty sure I will enjoy them too. One thing that needs improvement is the reception desk. I think some people at the reception are lazy. When I tried to leave a message for my PT, I was told that it's no guarantee that the message would reach my PT. WTH! Is it so hard to walk over the gym floor, look for the PT, and give the message?! I will not leave a message if it's not important. Duh!? Overall I would still recommend this gym. Oh and did I mention it's open 24 hrs?!!!

Great circuit, good trainers, energy and the work out is only 30 minutes. It goes by very fast. I'm so happy I decided to go try something new. This is the kind of work outs I've been looking for and I love that it's women only. It's less intimidating and the trainers take very good care of you. To me, the hours work because no matter what, I know I will make it happen because I've found the kind of work out that is for me.

A complete waste of my money. I went to ONE workout, my very first, and severely sprained my knee…read moreand ankle. Like, POP and I screamed and fell to the ground in crazy pain. The trainer did NOTHING. She asked if I was ok as I sat on the floor in agony. I was the only person working out at that moment so you could HEAR the pop. I asked if I could have an ice pack or if they had a first aid kit and she said they did not. I asked if I could at least have a water from the refrigerator so I could stop the swelling and she did grant me that (but I had to give it back). I reported this and asked if I could end my contract but they did not allow me so I paid FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR. It's a year and a half later now and I'm still recovering from this. I'm still getting, "We miss you" emails from them which has engorged my rage and prompted me to warn others about this. If this doesn't stop you from signing up, check out their hours. They are absolutely HORRIBLE. For a person with regular work hours, not convenient at all. Unless you like live like right next door. Oh, yeah, another issue I had was I moved to Vancouver suddenly, like a week after signing up. Nope. Not convenient at all. They rope you in with this "woman safe space" which is complete BS when they obviously don't care about you, even when you get injured RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM.
