My wife and I flew into San Francisco for a wedding that took place on a Friday. We wanted to squeeze in some fun sight seeing/wine experience since we were staying at a hotel just minutes from downtown San Francisco. I found Cardinal Transportation online and saw they had some great specials for wine tours. I gave them a call to ask for a quote and found out they offered an all day 8-9 hour wine tour for up to 7 people for under $400. They also said they offered a variation of 7 different San Francisco and North Bay/Coastal Tours for the same price, but we were feeling in the mood for a wine trip. So we invited my wife's sister, her husband and her parents all on this wine tour which ended up being PHENOMENAL. Our driver, James was a native of San Francisco and knew his way around the city as well as Napa and Sonoma. We stopped at 5 terrific wineries (2 in Sonoma, 3 in Napa) where we had free tastings all day. At the end of the wine tour, James brought us back to our hotel and surprised us with a gift bottle of old vine Zinfandel from a local winery. The next morning we had emailed the owner, expressing our satisfaction in the wine tour and he then arranged his driver Keith to take us to the airport on Sunday night for just $60. I highly recommend using these guys for anything transportation related. It seems like the more trips you book with them, the more discounts they give you. Super friendly experience, clean cut, professional drivers native to the Bay Area. I haven't had an experience like this with any other driving company. For our weekend stay in San Francisco we booked a one-day trip out to wine country and couldn't be happier about how things turned out with Cardinal. We were initially overwhelmed with the number of choices - Napa vs Sonoma, picking locations, etc. - and through a couple of phone calls and emails Vadim guided us through selecting a few places that matched our interests, while encouraging us to keep some flexibility in the day. The approach was just right...enough planning that we had a productive day, but not so much that we felt rushed on a schedule. With over an hour each way from our hotel in San Francisco to the vineyards, Vadim had plenty of time to fill us in on the local happenings and he didn't disappoint. He even took a quick detour into Sausolito on the way out of town so we could see the start line for the 12K Across the Bay race that we ran the next day. This last Sunday we had booked a Scenic tour of San Francisco with this company cardinal. It was a perfect day to say the least based on the weather and of course the great service we had with our driver Dean. I wanted to get a good quality tour of San Francisco without the vibe of a claustrophobic and cramped bus tour that seem to be the norm for San Francisco Bridge tours and so forth. Listen, after reserving an SUV for six people, we got top notch service, some nice beverages and a formal chauffeur for the same price it would cost all 6 of us to pay for a bus tour experience. We got to stop at 5 locations including point Bonita lighthouse and downtown Sausalito, after seeing the Golden Gate Bridge. Phenomenal experience. Next month, the whole family is flying in from out of town, and I've already booked a Sonoma wine tour with Dean. read more

It was simply effortless, booking and planning for this wine tour. After making the reservation for our group of 7, I called the company and over the phone we got to plan where we wanted to go. After having a nice stout schedule, my husband wanted to make a few changes to our itinerary. It was a bit late in the evening, so I emailed the company of these changes. By the early morning I received a quick response and confirmation of our new winery list and then a phone call. What great service I got, even before going on the wine tour! Not to mention, the experience was terrific. We got our own black on black SUV and formally dressed chauffeur for the day and a couple nice bottles of wine from the company. I don't typically post reviews, however due to the our experience, my husband and I felt compelled to comment. After a recommendation from a friend, Tour to Sonoma and Napa wineries was the highlight of our trip to San Francisco last weekend. We visited 4 different wineries with lunch at V. Sattui Winery. Mason, our driver, took us on a scenic drive on the way back to our hotel and was a pleasure to have escort us. Sausalito was amazing! We ended our tour in Sausalito and had dinner at Scomo's Restaurant to finish our first romantic getaway together since the birth of our first child. What a great company!! We came off a cruise ship and our car was there. We went over the Golden Gate Bridge and had champagne and a photo op at Fort Baker. Our driver, Dean, then took us to 4 wonderful wineries, one included a fabulous deli for lunch. I would highly recommend this service and I will use them again.!! read more
