They didn't take the funds out on the 1st for $88. but were able to access the next day for $119. I called and asked what the fee was for and at that time I cancelled and gave my 30 day notice and she stated to be out by the 15th of December. No problem. So on December 1st I call to make a payment and got told I never had that conversation because they don't say that and it is in the contract I got, which I never did. I was told they did everything over the phone. To date I still have nothing in writing about it. As I began to disagree with Angela I got hung up on. I DO NOT recommend this place. So I went to my bank statement and called the number on there and got a man named Zach who acted like I had the wrong number but he gave me the A-! Mini Storage number off the top of his head. Not suspicious at all...NOT! I want my 15 days back and my $40. This is in Carthage, MO off Baker Blvd.

I only saw 1 small a/c unit in the entire place and it never kicked on. They've been saying they were getting it fixed/got it fixed, and have yet to do so. It is clean and seems secure but DEFINITELY not temperature controlled even though there's a big Saigon saying so.

Customer service is terrible. They never answer the phone, never return phone calls, emails or…read moretext. Constantly locked out of unit for some reason ir another. They brag about customer service but pretty much none exist. I'm locked out 70% of the time I go. I have to spend 20-30 minutes each time with the secondary lock company to try to get in. That's if they are open. After 9pm or before 7am, forget it. They start begging for payment 10 days before it's due. But lock you out after the 1st of the month and will take your stuff after 15 days per Missouri law. How do I know that, they straight up told me that. The locks are electronic so you have no control over when you can access your unit. If their app messes up or their system messes up, you can't get in. Which, is pretty common, more than 50% of the time. Rent somewhere where you can put your own padlock on the door so you have control of your stuff.

I was told the mice were from busy soccer fields across Fir Rd with school starting, someone else was in the unit before me (not true), and other excuses before offered another 10' X 20' unit in an even newer section. Same structure design; same potential problem! I was moved out within 24 hours and found more mouse droppings and candy from somewhere under a shelf! I showed them these posted pixs; no response. They don't accept credit cards, monthly surcharge for autodraft from checking account, Mickey Mouse business operation - even without the rodents included! Perhaps nice people, new units, but FYI for RENTER BEWARE!

When looking for a storage unit, I considered these things: 1. Security 2. Proximity to my home 3. Price Above all else, Countryside Self Storage impressed me with its security of its units. Simply by visiting the office, you'll notice nine cameras are visible to the employee operating the desk (Paul Boles) on a monitor at all times. I appreciate knowing that my belongings are secured first by the premises being monitored by staff. Further, the fencing around the facility are tall, discouraging unauthorized individuals from entering. Finally, the facility is gated with a code that only tenants and staff have access to. I primarily chose my storage unit facility based on the security features, and Countryside Self Storage far outweighed the others I assessed. This particular storage facility was also close to my home, making trips back and forth incredibly easy for me! I also felt that the price of the unit I leased was more than reasonable: $49/mo. for a 5x10 unit. I am incredibly happy with this price, especially considering the extensive security of this storage facility. Finally, the customer service I received from Paul Boles was above and beyond. I was able to walk into the office and obtain a storage unit within thirty minutes--and Paul was more than professional, relatable, and simply enjoyable to talk to at all times. I would recommend Countryside Self Storage far beyond any other facility in Joplin, hands down.
