This visit was for my mon due to a fall that occurred after being referred here by the hospital. The visit here was on March 25, 2024. The day before this visit, my mom had tripped on the rug heading to another room in the house. She fell face first on the ground. It would turn out to be a broken nose and an orbital fracture. The visit here would be to address the broken nose, as Dr. Sailon was the one on call at the hospital the day before. After getting checked in and getting all of the needed info in order, it would take about 15 minutes to be called back, but that wasn't too surprising as we made it here earlier than expected. Once we were called back, the assistant came in and took a few normal vitals and asked about what happened and such. Once that was done, a few minutes later, Dr. Sailon came in. He introduced himself and let us know he had reviewed the tests that were done at the hospital. He went over all the details thoroughly, and let us know that even though the nose broke, it was not out of alignment and no further action would be needed for that part, so that was great news. After that was done, we were referred to another doctor that specializes in orbital fractures. It was a bit rough at first when contacting the next referral, as they thought it was a taking over of care. The receptionist here was great at getting that sorted out and able to get my mom seen there a few days later. Overall, this was a very good experience. All of the medical issues were addressed and explained easily. There was a genuine care and concern here. If I needed to come to a place like this as a patient, I would totally look at coming here as an option, even though it's further out for me since I live in the southern part of the city.

I had a double mastectomy in July…read more2015, I had to use my gluteal region to make me new breast because I did not have enough tissue in my arms or abdomen. After 15+ surgeries with another local surgeon, I was left with an implant on the left side (Flapped Died) and on the right side I had a rock-hard breast. I spent years in pain with horrible headaches and pains. I was referred to Dr. Jablonka and my life instantly changed. Words can't express how much Dr. Jablonka has changed my life. I was a difficult case due to the number of previous surgeries and the only region we had left to use were my inner thighs. We started with the left side, which was an instant success, but we discovered the right flap was dead inside my body and this why it was so hard and causing pain. Within three surgeries Dr. Jablonka was able to give me two successful flap transfers from my inner thighs. During my time in the hospital, Dr. Jablonka was there every morning by 6 AM or earlier and the feedback from the ICU nurses were amazing. The manual's he left to ensure all the nurses provided the level of care needed to ensure your flap did not die. Not only is he an amazing knowledgeable physician, but he also has the best bed side manner, and his staff is the best. Liz and Tess are amazing an always and there to answer any questions/concerns.

Time for yet another update…read more Brief background - I've been coming here on and off since 2014 for laser hair removal, mole removals, laser skin treatments, and facials. Dr. Lopes removed some moles for me a few years ago and my results were amazing. No scars and I had one on my chin that you would literally never know was there! It was expensive - something like $100 a mole and I had 9 removed - insurance will not pay for anything here bc it's all cosmetic. I've heard all good things about her and her skills in plastic surgery. I don't know that I'll ever go there, but, good to know she's here if I do want to. I had laser hair removal here years ago with Maggie and, bc of my sensitive skin and some scars on my legs, I had to do lower power on the laser and more treatments. I paid over $4000 for the treatments and Maggie modified it for me as needed to suit my skin. I appreciated this and never forgot it. I was initially given a quote good for 6 months when discussing the laser hair removal so I could leave and think on the investment. Now, when I went back to see Rachel last year - no quotes, just her assessment in the exam room quickly, and it felt like she was just making it up off the top of her head. I didn't think that was as professional as the process in the past. I want to be given an exam and a quote sheet I can take with me so we're all on the same page. I spent about $1000-1200 on some touch-ups and some vascular issues and had an issue with a "follow-up" that I was charged for when I was under the impression it was included in my price since I was being brought in to review the results. No quotes given either - you have to remember and hope she remembered what she said it would be. What? After Maggie retired they did bring in another esthetician for a while also but she's no longer there and my future appointments were cancelled. I believe they have not replaced her and no longer offer facials bc no one has ever called to reschedule and this was over 6 months ago. She was also shady about prices and there were no prices listed the first few times I went and she kept "offering" other things to do or recommended I "needed" but you had no idea what it would cost and some of those things were $90-150 each! If I had said yes to everything - I'd have easily spent $450. Shady. Rain, the office manager, is kind and worked with me to resolve the issue I had with the follow-up mentioned above. The front desk staff are sweet. I just don't appreciate when we're talking about this kind of money, feeling like the prices aren't set - they're made up on the spot. Something about that rubs me entirely the wrong way and makes me pause on coming here for anymore laser follow-up and treatments.

I've been doing Botox for years and having recently moved to Virginia, this was my first treatment…read morein a new state. I met with Denise for my consult, not the doctor in December 2016. There were no mini ice packs before, during or after my injections. (These are great to reduce redness, swelling and bruising plus they help numb the injection site.) Last, Denise didn't draw up the Botox in front of me, which made me feel very uncomfortable as I like to physically see that I'm getting exactly what I'm paying for. I always stay around 25 units but Denise did over 45, the most I've ever had. My results were not good. Too much Botox caused my eyebrows to push down and one eye to droop. At the same time my droopy eye also had a new deep crease wrinkle above it. My crows feet didn't look like I had any injections at all. Clearly I had too much in areas and not enough in other areas. Denise stated that I had to allow 14 days for the full effect and return at 3 weeks for a follow-up. I thought this was odd and honestly brushed off the 14 day statement at first as my Botox always kicks in by day 3 and I have full results at one week, not two. However, she was correct. This was so odd to me that the process took so long for the Botox to take effect. I can only assume their hydration of the Botox is very high (meaning the product is very diluted). I went back for a followup at 3 weeks and I explained how unhappy I was. Denise made excuses for why I had such poor results and tried to sell me more Botox. I agreed I needed more around the eyes as oddly this didn't take at all, but certainly not my forehead which caused my eye to droop. Regardless, I didn't feel comfortable buying more product from her considering my results. Since I've been getting Botox for so many years, I can go about 5 months between sessions. However, this round was unusual and oddly wore off faster than my other treatments. I had to get another round of Botox less than 3 months later, from a different practice. Obviously, I won't be a returning client at this practice. With this being said, I wouldn't tell someone not to seek Botox at this establishment. You may go and have great results or you may have poor results. Still, if you go, take your own ice pack, (her injections are hard and deep) and ask her to draw up the Botox in front of you. I recommend going with small doses and later adding more if needed. Don't fall for the pressure that you "NEED" more if it's out of your normal range or if your first time getting Botox. You can always get more Botox but you can't remove it. If you get bad results, take it as an expensive lesson learned and move on to a new DOCTOR. If you get decent results, watch how quickly it wears off. If it seems fast, then try a different practice for comparison. Botox has to be diluted at the physicians office and all offices/spas do this differently. Heavily diluted Botox makes the practice a ton of money as they get more product this way. Good for them, not so good for you. You may have to get more units of Botox to achieve the look you want and it will wear off faster, forcing you to return for more. (This is very true for those Botox Groupon offers! Avoid these!!) You can always ask what their concentration level is for their Botox, however, you will have to take their word as honest. The product will just have to speak for itself.

The secret with great botox comes from the person holding that needle. Trust me, when you find your "Botox Master", you will be AMAZED at the results and you won't ever want anyone else doing your botox again. My search here in Virginia has led me to experience some bad results. Thus, I decided to find a place where the DOCTOR actually does the administering. This was harder than I thought! I finally found Dr. Guarda and made an appointment. The office was very beautiful and the entire staff were all wonderful, polite and very professional. Dr. Guarda spent a lot of time with me discussing my past botox experiences from what went wrong to what I loved. She is one of few, that believes in the conservative approach. She would rather inject less botox, wait for the results and then have you return if you need more rather than do too much, and have the client left with bad results for months. I loved this about her and agreed! I've have experienced droopy eyelid several times here in Virginia from estheticians doing too much botox, so I really prefer to do less botox up front and then tweak it later with more if needed. Dr. Guarda was never pushy and didn't try to sell me a bunch of products and or services irrelevant to the reason I was there. She just addressed my botox concerns and worked her magic. She did draw up the botox directly in front of me - which I highly recommend to anyone getting botox! You have a right to know you are getting the Botox you are paying for and not the cheaper form. There were no ice packs before/during/after treatment. However, her injections were gentle and I didn't experience any swelling, discomfort or bruising.
