I started having some hip pain and thought it was just my age catching up with me. I mean, it obviously has something to do with it...but I'm active and relatively healthy so just throwing in the towel isn't an option. I started some physical therapy which did nothing to help. I finally decided to look into other options. I went to see Dr. Cardinal and was surprised at how in depth the first visit was. After a very thorough exam in her office, she had me go get some X-rays to see what was really going on. I was very surprised at what the X-rays showed and there's no way physical therapy through my doctor was going to ever make a significant difference. Dr. Cardinal has me doing exercises and therapy at home and I see her almost weekly for an adjustment. My pain has reduced significantly! I never feel rushed and always leave feeling better. Now if I could just get more disciplined about doing my home exercises, I know I could really be much further along in this healing. Dr. Cardinal isn't just easing the pain, she's correcting the problem. read more

I switched to Dr. Cardinal a few years ago, at the recommendation of my then-chiropractor (who was moving to another state). She is very competent, conscientious, and caring, and I have had fewer back issues while under her care. Very nice, clean, and convenient office. Fair prices, and always willing to help with the documents required by my FSA. read more

The perfect combination of professionalism, skill and caring. I was referred to Dr. Cardinal by another profession - the best source for referrals. Dr. Cardinal is the real deal. If you've ever been a chiropractic skeptic, after working with her, you won't be. read more

Magician with the spine. And gentle, too. Firm and clear about what you need to do between visits.

The public should know and question the integrity of this business and their glowing reviews. I met Mrs. Cardinal and initially she seemed rushed in a hurry and scammy. She propped herself up to make herself seem like a chiropractor but I dove deeper to find out she is a fraud. She severely injured my neck with over 100 pounds on pressure downward compressing my spine during what she called an "exam". It is to my belief that she cares little about patients and only about money as she neglected to inform me that there was a $360 x-ray fee and I had current X-rays from my doctor that weren't good enough for her. SCAM ALERT! She clearly is desperate for repeat business! Beware! Don't get injured from this fraudster shady, lack of integrity business! (My neck still hurts!!!!) read more

I love Dr. Cardinal and her staff. I started going to this office for the Ideal Protein diet program then branched into getting acupuncture/acupressure treatments with Liz. I appreciate the calm and relaxing environment and that everyone is mindful of your time and schedule. Conveniently located in the downtown financial district - easy to get to with public transportation or on foot if you live in San Francisco. Their office hours are limited - that's my only caveat, but overall a very warm and welcoming spot and I'll continue to be a client and refer my family and friends too. read more

Cardinal Chiropractic - Ideal protein truly works! I like that the program has weekly check ins and coaching so that you learn how to maintain your results. - Chiropractors Near Me - San Francisco, California

When I finally gave in to see Dr Cardinal (she was recommended by my last one) I was in a lot of pain. Injuries in my youth had come back to bite me and many things were just difficult. She is great at what she does and exactly what I needed. She knows what she is doing, makes me do some of the work (but I suppose it shouldn't be all up to her even though I wish she was a magician) and I got results. It's been about seven or so months and I feel so much better. I wish I hadn't have waited but she is getting me healthy. read more

Karri Cardinal has dramatically helped my posture and pain! She is extremely knowledgeable about chiropractic work and the body. Karri is always professional and is definitely the best(and my favorite) chiropractor I've seen yet. I always look forward to seeing her each visit. I highly highly recommend Cardinal Chiropractic. read more

If you're a skeptic about chiropractors, you are a lot like I was before I started going to Dr. Cardinal for treatment. The first thing Dr. Cardinal does is take an x-ray of your spine, so you see immediately if there are any problems. I was shocked to see that I had a reverse curve in my spine that, if had gone untreated, would have exacerbated and caused me many issues later down the road. Even if you're not exhibiting any negative symptoms, you may not realize there is something wrong with your spine and posture. Dr. Cardinal is a very professional and extremely knowledgeable chiroproactor who really cares about her patients. She set up a treatment schedule for me that was easy to follow, and we immediately saw results. I would look foward to going to see her everytime, and always left feeling like a million dollars. Once my treatments were finished, it didn't end there. She would make it a point to have me follow up every month or so to check on me. I am very lucky to have found her. Five stars to Dr. Cardinal! read more

Dr. Cardinal is simply AMAZING. I was referred here for the ideal protein program by a dear friend who recently completed the program. It's odd to say that a diet can be simple and somewhat easy, but that is exactly how I would describe my experience thus far. Dr. Cardinal does a wonderful job at riding the line of tough love and encouragement. I always walk out of their offices feeling successful. I would highly suggest the ideal protein diet to anyone looking and ready to get healthy -- no matter your size, this program teaches you how to lose and then maintain a healthy lifestyle. They base your success on body fat, not weight, which has been mentally life changing. If you decide to embark on this journey, be sure to do so with this spot, you won't regret it. Side note: They are also really flexible with schedules, which is great for those who are really busy during the week. Nancy, the office assistant, is simply the best and will do everything to make the appointments work for you! read more

Dr. Cardinal is the best! I have lost 40 lbs since mid October 2020 and feel better than I felt in a long time. If you listen to her wonderful coaching, and follow the program, you can lose weight and learn how to eat healthy too. I would go as far as to say that it is practically impossible to fail on this plan if you follow it faithfully. You can lose as much weight as you need and want to lose if you join. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Cardinal's counseling and weight loss program. read more

This is my first yelp review so I'm not sure how this goes. But Dr. Cardinal is the best. I came in for some back pain and she took care of that right away on the first visit. We also got to talking about my posture.. she is phenomenal at posture correction. I had a curve in my spine I thought would never be fixed, and because of the before-and-after x-rays, i can see it has! She has a warm personality and makes you feel at ease right away. Her professionalism is outstanding. The office and the receptionist, Megan, couldn't be better. Seriously! Take my advice. If you're looking for a chiropractor, go to Dr. Cardinal. read more

I went to Dr. Cardinal thinking I just needed your standard adjustment since my workouts had been feeling off, hard of breathing while working out and pain. So grateful that Dr. Cardinal didn't do what all the chiropractors have done in the past, they do their standard adjustments and send me on my way. NOT Dr. Cardinal. She took my blood pressure and took photos of me and suggested that I get x-rays done to see what is really going on. So glad I did! X-rays do show what is going on, even if you don't see it from the outside. I am now on a plan to get my spine back to healthy. Thank you Dr. Cardinal for taking the time to see and treat me as an individual, I can already tell it is making a world of difference. read more

My scoliosis has now improved over 50% with multiple visits and a scolibrace she made for me. It went from 20 degrees to about 10 degrees or less now. Prior to seeing her, I've seen Medical Doctors who couldn't do anything, and pain specialists who inserted pain relief drugs. None of it helped. I was in constant pain prior to seeing her, and now my pain is about 90% better where I don't constantly feel it. I still feel a little stiff, but nowhere near as stiff as I was the start of the program. read more

Dr. Cardnil is exceptional. I went into my first appointment exceptionally resistant and within 10 minutes she put me at ease. I feel like my health is important to her and that is a rare and wonderful thing to find. The packet of x-rays showing where your posture is vs how it should be is truly the most informative medical experience I have ever had. I feel very lucky my family found her. read more

Dr. Cardinal is a wonderfully skilled chiropractor who makes you feel comfortable and at ease when providing care. Her explanations on the treatments are very clear and straightforward. She provides a lot of moral support as well to help you stay motivated to do the daily exercises she recommends to support the treatments that help you get closer to your wellness goals. After just a few weeks working with her, I feel much better than before- my back and neck pain are lessened considerably and no more headaches. I look forward to my appointments with her and never feel stressed. Her office has a calming effect thanks to the the other staff members who work there. I highly recommend Dr. Cardinal. read more

Karri has helped me find serious relief to chronic tension in my shoulders and neck. I'd been having regular massages but my muscles always went back to a very tight spasm. Thanks to her regular adjustments and rehabilitative work I'm not stiff all the time. Every adjustment is genuine relief and I feel myself just naturally walking straighter. Her prices are good and she is not one of those people who push product on you or insist you do all these extra things outside of chiropractic. Its refreshing. Highly recommended and her location is great for those who are often in the financial district. She is one of those chiropractors that don't have to invent a problem to solve for you because her skills are good enough to keep and attract long-term loyal clients. As long as she stays near a BART I'm sticking with Cardinal Chiropractic. read more

A miracle! My little 4.5 mo. old got an ear infection and her pediatrician and the ENT "highly recommended" both oral antibiotics and antibiotic drops. At the time she wasn't in pain anymore and there were no symptoms other than the drainage, so I thought 10 days of 2 kinds of antibiotics were a bit extreme.... He kind of freaked me out a little bit, bringing up the possibility of the infection going into her blood stream and even getting meningitis.... We held off on the prescription anyway and I took her to see Dr. Cardinal the next day, and the morning after the adjustment (and mornings are when we would find a lot of yellow discharge in and around her ears), very little goo! The difference was dramatic. The following day, nothing coming out of her ears...now it's been two weeks and still nothing!! I just took her back to the pediatrician who wanted to check her out again just to be sure everything is ok, and he looked inside her ears and said "beautiful....all cleared up. So, what did you do?" I told him about the adjustment and the homeopathic remedy (which I only used sparsely), and he didn't say much about it except that he was glad that it was all resolved. My baby was spared the antibiotics (would rather save that for when she really needs it), and with just one pleasant adjustment - which by the way, she liked! - she was cured. Amazing. Even though I had been getting chiropractic for myself off and on for years, I somehow didn't think to use it for my baby's ear infection. But it definitely works!! read more

I had tried everything to lose weight but after two years was stalled at 155 pounds. Between a thyroid problem and lack of time to workout effectively, I felt like I was stuck. Then came Ideal Protein. Karri introduced me to the program and guided me to making the program work effortlessly. She even shared her own tips for staying on track despite a very busy life with a toddler. The best thing about her clinic is that it is a one-stop-shop with an acupuncturist and massage therapist on site. The entire staff is wonderful and professional. Ideal Protein just didn't feel like a diet. This is not pre-packaged food but convenient high grade protein for those of us on the go. My BMI went down to 22% in three months and best of all ... I think the program got me to place where I looked really good and ended up meeting someone who is literally the best looking guy I have ever met. How handsome? Let's just say Michael Fassbender has a twin and he's mine. read more

In mid-June I finished up Phase 4 of the Ideal Protein diet (well, maintenance phase goes on . . .). It took about 10 weeks and I lost close to 20 lbs. I wanted to wait to post a review of the diet to make sure this wasn't a program where once you're off the pounds come back despite your best efforts. Two months post program, I can now honestly report that the Ideal Protein diets works - not just while you are on it (assuming you follow it 100%), but because it is immersive and it retrains you to eat differently and to think about food differently. Because it broke many of my bad habits - and caused me to confront many of the lies I had been telling myself about how much and the quality of food I eat - I am being more mindful of how and what I eat now that I am off the diet. The best part of the program is that is easy - so long as you have purchased and prepped your veggies and lean protein. The packaged IP food is pretty good, and except for a few items, I enjoyed it. There was hunger at times, but I needed to learn that hunger won't kill me, and there are healthier ways to respond to it than chips and cookies. I loved, loved, loved the daily nutritional videos by Dr. Wilkinson. So educational and practical. Apart from the diet, I attribute a lot of my success to Dr. Cardinal's office - great people to visit on a weekly basis - Nancy and Liz were super supportive. The diet is not expensive - especially if you are going to stop eating out while on the diet. I probably saved money. Gratefully, there is no pressure to buy more or sign up for more services - although more is available if you need it. My only issue now is I have a bit of food anxiety - I don't attribute this to the program. I guess I feel like any addict who worked hard to break habits that got out of control, and I am surrounded by junk food calling my name (not in the house though). I console myself knowing that occasional splurges are ok, and if I fall off the wagon big-time, I can re-up at Dr. Cardinal's office and get some balance back. It feels terrific to be more fit and lighter. Bottom line: 5 stars for this diet and for Dr. C's office. read more
