Dr. Hicks is an amazing chiropractor!! She is passionate about chiropractic and sincere with every adjustment that she gives. Her office has an incredible vibe and she makes you feel so welcome every time you visit. I notice that she knows so many patients by their first name. If you are looking for a pediatric or pregnancy chiropractor she is the best! She is so knowledgeable about so many aspects of pregnancy, birth and after birth. There are always so many pregnant mamas and babies in her office! I love that she holds informational seminars to educate her patients on both sides of sensitive topics, it gives the public an opportunity to become educated on important subjects. I attended a health talk and felt that Dr. Hicks did a great job at conveying sensitive information. She was happy to answer anyone's questions/ concerns and I felt that she was never pushing her opinions on the class, rather she was just giving us information that we aren't really constantly exposed to/ knowledgeable about. I would absolutely recommend More Mojo to anyone in the city or even the east bay if they are looking for an amazing knowledgeable gentle chiropractor!! read more

I first saw Dr. Nolan for the Webster technique, to help turn my baby head down from a breech position. He treated me with care and gentleness and helped ease a lot of the tension and discomfort in my body. Baby was able to turn before birth. After birth, I took myself and my baby to see Dr. Nolan and he adjusted me and helped adjust baby and baby's palate. Dr. Nolan is fantastic. read more

This chiropractic clinic did not work for me, but it might work for you. Honestly I'd give it 1 star but I don't want to screw up their rating. Basically, like probably any chiropractic studio in the city, it's very expensive, it was $180 for the first consultation appt, and then $75 for all 20 minute follow ups. I think the style at the studio is just super chatty and social, which to be frank sucked big time for me and didn't feel healing or restorative at all. Huge waster of money and time. For example in all of my follow up sessions my practitioner would continue chatting with their prior client, and it was not their prior client initiating, it was my practitioner asking them chit-chatty questions like: "Are you going to go skiing this weekend with the kids?", "how's jimmy doing?" and other sorts of banter. This is all while I'm literally laying there getting hammered, twisted and cracked, spending HUNDREDS of dollars; so to have my practitioner not even focus on me, but chitchat with other people in the studio felt really innervating, rude, unprofessional (in my book) and careless. If they weren't chatting with another client, they would be chatting with another colleague or their front desk person (who seldom wore a mask). I'm used to healing spaces and health practitioners being much more devoted towards the receiver with presence, focus, somatic connection and groundedness. This style at more mojo did not work for me, maybe if it were $20 community style sessions I wouldn't care as much... And if you are worried about covid safety don't go here, it's just one room, no ventilation, no open windows, the desk lady would only put on her mask as I approached to pay (probably because i was wearing one), and the two chiropractic tables are right next to each other so you are close to other clients and practitioners. This was such a negative experience for me. After shelling out 180-200 on an initial consult, which is obligatory, I felt hooked in to keep giving it a chance. I went 5-6 times then stopped. This was also my first time doing chiro work so I thought the client-therapist dyad would be more like that with an acupuncturist, massage therapist, etc --- not a group/community space with lots of superficial chatting. I have now learned that not all chiros are like this place, so whenever I save up the money again I may venture out to work with one of them. read more

Dr. Kristine Hicks and Dr Darci are both exceptional. My whole family goes to Dr kristine for monthly adjustments. She has saved us from having to go to the doctor. My son popped a rib out of place skiing and could not get a full breath. One adjustment with kristine and he was completely better just a little sore. Dr Darci healed my plantar fasciitis in 5 sessions! I went to a doctor and did the boot which only worked temporarily. Dr Darcy healed me years ago and I am still pain free. I just cannot sing enough praises for More Mojo and what healers they are. Thank you ladies for your dedication and professionalism. And now an update! I was feeling stiff and went in to see Dr.Hicks. She said my neck was totally off to the right. After just 2 sessions I feel perfect! No neck pain! Thank you again More Mojo read more

Dr Darcy is a miracle worker. I am not kidding you! I have been seeing her on and off for almost 15 years now. I drive from Lafayette to the city because she is so talented. I can go with a sore neck or a sore back or anything and after a 15 minute treatment it is healed. I don't know how she does it, but she does it with a glowing smile, the most positive attitude, and she is a wonderful, very talented individual. I could not recommend this business or Dr. Darcy Kendrick any more! My husband also sees her. We are both in our late 40s and feels the same way. We have recommended many friends who have also been very satisfied by her work. read more

While Kristine seemed very nice and may be good at chiro work, she mistakenly told me that she thought my baby was breech, when in fact I later learned that the baby wasn't (I confirmed by ultrasound afterwards the same day, and no, the baby had not since changed positions.) I did go into the office telling Kristine that I thought my baby was breech based on what I could feel, so that probably made Kristine biased, but still, I was disappointed that someone with Kristine's prenatal and baby expertise couldn't tell that the baby wasn't in fact breech. I know it can be hard to tell based on feel, but I wish Kristine would have told me she wasn't sure, instead of having me come in multiple times to get chiro done to turn the baby. I spent a lot of money unnecessarily. I also felt like the people handling payments were a bit pushy in getting you to come back for repeated visits and reluctant to give me a receipt after the visit, when I asked for one. read more

I was referred by a friend to Dr. Hicks in 2003 after getting rear ended. Shooting pains in my legs would leave me doubled over at times. After some treatment I returned from having limited mobility to yoga, running, and cycling. Through the years seeing Kristine at MoreMojo I gained better awareness of my body and was able to recognize how proper alignment and regular adjustments improved my overall well being. If something feels off I get adjusted before I take medication for any ailment. 90% of the time the adjustment provides relief. Dr. Hicks is passionate about her practice and philosophy, she's eager to share information if she thinks it will benefit her community but she also encourages to seek out ALL information and make the most informed decision for themselves because what works for one may not work for everyone else. read more

More Mojo Chiropractic is a place where, the moment you step foot into it, you start to understand what holistic care is all about. Doc. Kristine and Doc. Darci are resourceful, passionate and extremely knowledgeable about their areas of expertise. They are kind and personable to every patient, family member that attends the practice. They are generous with their time and create an atmosphere of care and support that in itself feels healing to me. I started seeing Dr. Hicks when I was pregnant of my daughter, 10 years ago, and had bad sciatica and back pains. Dr. Hicks helped me through that and in the course of our treatment also gave me a huge amount of information about nutrition, self care, breastfeeding, that in many ways shaped my concept of parenting. More Mojo is a place that I value a lot and I recommend to anyone that wants to actually form a personal relationship with their health care provider, be seen in a holistic way and treated not only for symptoms but in a way that addresses root causes. read more

Dr. Kristine and Dr. Darci are not just exceptional chiropractors, they are among the most knowledgeable in their field. I have finally felt relief from nagging pain that's lasted for years. In addition to phenomenal chiropractic care, the office hosts monthly lectures that are very informative and led by Dr. Kristine who has clearly dedicated her life to the well being of her patients and her community. Don't be swayed by negative reviews from people too afraid to think for themselves. I highly recommend taking advantage of all this office has to offer - not just phenomenal chiropractors but a well rounded educational experience. You won't be disappointed. read more

Dr. Darci Kendrick is a magician! She fixed me on multiple occasions. I went to her for the first time during pregnancy with severe pain due to pelvic instability. After 2 weeks I was able to walk couple miles a day again. She fixes my back and neck whenever that becomes an issue, at least every 4-6 months I go for a few sessions and that does it. After every session I leave feeling like I have a brand new back :) I see some negative reviews about the environment. I can see how no privacy can bother people, but I never had any problem with that. I love their space. It's very cozy and personal. Not some sterile doctors office environment. And I have never had any issues with cleanliness. Staff has never been anything but professional and pleasant. Highly highly recommend! read more

I am so glad that Darci, her colleagues and More Mojo are in the community. I applaud their bravery in being a resource and advocate for knowledgeable health decisions. It is sad to me when I see the current climate of vilification of those who want to raise good questions and discuss important aspects of health topics. I am so happy that these wise and knowledgeable women are here to help keep information and research about current health topics (for example, the vaccine debate) available. Darci helped me through a frozen shoulder. I love her work and her holistic attitude. I feel cared for and seen when I come to More Mojo - a true community health resource. read more

Dr. Hicks and Dr. Kendrick are 2 of the BEST chiropractors anyone could ask for. Both are very knowledgeable about the entire body, from infancy to adults, and use their knowledge to honestly inform their clients about being self advocates for their own path. My family has depended on chiropractic care as a whole body practice, not just when we are in pain. Dr. Hicks has guided us throughout the years of our growing family, and we are so grateful for her commitment to her clients. If you want to take your health to the next level with trustworthy Drs, More Mojo Studios is for you! read more

I've been going to More Mojo for almost a decade and I don't know what I would do without Dr. Kendrick's chiropractic skills. She goes the extra mile to help heal your body. And all the staff give such excellent service. I let all my friends know if they have muscle problems to go straight to More Mojo. There are no words to thank them for all the help I have received with my difficult back pain. read more

My experience at More Mojo so far has been wonderful. I go to see Tracey Stone for Maya Abdominal Massage to help with my Crohn's disease. She is very nurturing and caring, she took plenty of time to discuss my extensive medical history before beginning work and then still spent a full hour on the massage (making a total appointment of about 90 minutes). She's very intuitive and never did I have to ask her to go lighter or use more pressure. She even incorporated a castor oil heat pack into the treatment which I thought was super-cool. Haven't had a chiropractic treatment there, and I have to agree with one of the other reviews that I would not be real psyched about being treated in such a public environment. The massage I got was in a back room so that wasn't a problem, but the adjustment tables are all in the front room with no dividers whatsoever. Just get a massage from Tracey. read more

The whole crew at the studio is amazing! Talk about woman power! I go see Tracey Stone for Massage at least twice a month, she IS mother earth! so powerful and Loving, I feel like a new better me, everytime! Dr. Sam is a wonderful chiropractor, she has such a gentle touch and really knows whats wrong as soon as she gets you on the table. A phenomenal group of women to know and to be loved by! read more

Darci Kendrick is my go to person for sports injury and Kristine Hicks is my adjustment angel. I have been to a lot of body workers of various persuasions over the years and none have had the healing mojo of these two. Darci has an intuitive sense and the power to get in there where the knots and scar tissue block free movement. Kristine gently coaxes your body into its naturally perfect alignment. They make me whole. read more

Dr. Hicks visited me at home right after I gave birth to work on my son's overbite, which was causing him difficulty in nursing. My son and I went to her for several years and found her to be a truly wonderful chiropractor. The entire practice is welcoming and loving. Dr. Hicks gives the information you need and allows you to make the right decision for your family. I have recommended her to so many people because I believe in her work and ethics. read more

I have been visiting More Mojo for over 6 years. I have been treated by Darci and Sam for chiropractic and Tracey for her wonderful massages. Everyone here is amazing, caring and have done so much to ease my assorted issues. Darci is a fantastic chiropractor. Sam uses laser light technology which is incredibly healing, the pain from my tendonitis in my elbow and shoulder are now a thing of the past. Tracey has wonderful skill as a massage therapist. This team is awesome and you will be hard pressed to find a place so full of laughter. read more

I've been going to Dr. Sam Rhame for about 10 years. I followed her from her last location several years ago. She has an intuitive or I should probably say educated ability to do real changing adjustments. I've been to many chiropractors and where some - a lot of cracking noises come from your back but don't feel better afterwards. I have found that Dr. Sam is gentle and has this awesome ability to lessen my back pain. She has also made changes for me in my neck, knees, and believe it or not, my asthma - which was a true blessing. Thank you so much. read more

Dr Kristine Hicks is THE BEST! She is an amazing chiropractor and person. I've had adjustments from 10+ chiropractors, and she is my absolute favorite. I feel incredible and rejuvenated afterwards. Dr Hicks is the only person I'd trust to adjust my newborn baby. She even did a home visit when my daughter was born. Kristine is a true holistic healer and her positive energy is radiating. read more

Kristine Hicks is a miracle worker! I went to More Mojo because my baby was breech, and Kristine is certified in the Webster Technique, which can help babies flip. I had never been to a chiropractor before and was a bit nervous, but her kind nature and obvious competence put me immediately at ease. She did my adjustment that Friday afternoon and said I should come back three times per week until the baby turned head down. I went back on Monday, and the baby had flipped over the weekend! I have no doubt that it was Kristine's treatment that did the trick because that baby wasn't budging beforehand. I was a bit put off by the open space with three treatment tables right next to each other when I walked in, thinking the lack of privacy would bother me. Once I got on the table though, it was no big deal. Everyone there is friendly and very welcoming of my 4-year-old partner in crime. I would recommend More Mojo to anyone. read more

Love, love, love this place! I have been seeing Dr. Kristine Hicks regularly for over 8 years now. I cannot truly express how wonderful I feel after receiving treatment. My partner and child have also received many treatments, we all love More Mojo Chiropractic! read more

The women of More Mojo take care of my family. My son and I see Dr. Kristine Hicks - she was a lifesaver when I had low back pain during pregnancy and keeps me feeling great now that my son is here. She has done amazing work on my son. He had a flat spot on the back of his head and she has managed to completely get rid of it through her very gentle technique. My husband goes to Dr. Darci Kendrick who has totally rehabed his shoulders which have been seriously bothering him for years. They are awesome women and a vital part of our family's health regimen. read more

I went to Darci for a prenatal chiropractic adjustment. I'm four months along and was experiencing lower back pain from what I assumed to be a flair up of an old back injury. I did some research for chiropractic services for pregnant women and found her practice. I am so glad I did, she has extensive knowledge of her field. It was an educational, relaxing and thorough appt. I never knew how detailed a chiropractic appt could be. I felt like a whole new person afterwords. I look forward to improving my body and giving it the attention it deserves for the rest my pregnancy journey and after. Thank you Darci! read more

Darci Kendrick has been working on my back for a couple of years now and she is one of my absolute go-to body workers. She has amazing sensitivity as to finding problems and a range of traditional chiropractic and other soft tissue modalities that overall have helped me enormously over the years! There are a ton of chiros, physical therapists and massage therapists out there doing mediocre work but occasionally I find one who has real ability to get your mojo back and that is Darci! read more

Dr Sam Rahme I have only seen Dr Sam once, but my experience was so outstanding that i had to write a review. I went in being 8.5 mo pregnant with severe pain in my pelvis hoping for relief. She picked up the phone when i called and asked to come in asap. When she saw me and evaluated my situation, she showed great experience with helping pregnant ladies, adjusted me, tried different techniques (very gently) and when i was not experiencing much relief...she referred me to a physical therapy specialist, who was able to help me very quickly. And i think that is fantastic and unusual. I suppose i just never met a chiropractor who wouldn't have instead insisted on daily chiro treatments instead of thinking of a patient first and referring to a different specialist. Maybe i am jaded, but for now, if i were to refer a chiropractor with integrity, i would say Dr Sam has got it! read more

I've been adjusted by Dr. Kristine Hicks for almost 20 years! Her adjustments and her great perspective on healing in the modern world have guided me and my family through many important healthcare decisions. I would highly recommend Dr. Sam Rhame and have referred my patients to her for treatment as well as seeing her myself as a client. She still has not put her bio up on the website, which I have given her grief about, but none the less still an excellent practitioner. Chiropractic care here is probably great (despite the lack of privacy that I agree is an issue). My issue is that I came here pregnant and was given very extreme (and unsolicited) advice against vaccination during pregnancy by Dr Hicks. While I always welcome unbiased information, this was just misleading and ideological, rather than a presentation of facts. Beware. read more

Dr. Sam Rhame is AWESOME.....both her chiropractic and cold laser services are NOT to be missed! I started preventative chiropractic care with Dr. Sam shortly after I moved to the Bay Area in 2008. She is friendly and professional and her touch is healing on many levels. Relatively recently, she introduced the cold laser to me during my adjustments and I was sold on its' effects on me physically AND emotionally. She has always been extremely flexible with me with her schedule.....and she has used the laser on me for MUCH longer periods of time than "a normal appointment" length. I am a different person today because of Dr. Sam and I will be eternally grateful. read more

Warning: Making an appointment does not mean making an appointment...It means making an appointment to make an appointment. I made an appointment to see Darci for the first time. I had to wait weeks for my appointment. When I showed for my appointment, I was told that my appointment had been given away because I had not reconfirmed my appointment (by responding to their voicemail). I can understand the desire to avoid being stood up by customers, but this is usually handled with a cancellation policy (e.g., 24-48 hours). By just giving away my appointment, there's no consideration for my opportunity costs (e.g., consulting income I forsook to honor my commitment to my appointment). When I made the original appointment, I was not told that it was not a real appointment until it was later reconfirmed. Imagine if you had to reconfirm every appointment you made because the other person didn't think you'd honor it. To make it worse, there was no effort to give me a priority to reschedule or discount to try again...just an airs that this was somehow my fault. Disappointing. read more

I had always been a skeptic of Chiropractics--I have no idea why, I just was... When I was at my wits-end over a lower back problem that was not improving after 2 months, a colleague at work told me about Darci and More Mojo. After three sessions, I am 99% better. Darci is amazing--not just her skill level, but her ability to connect and impart trust. She took plenty of time to get to know me and my issue before laying a hand on my back. She is really a wonderful person and a great Chiropractor!!! The studio is very conducive to the mission and in a great location to boot. I hate to say that I'm looking forward to my next visit, whenever that is, but... Thanks More Mojo!!! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Hicks for 20 years and I love everything about her practice. When I was pregnant with my 1st, Dr. Hicks adjusted me all through my pregnancy and labor and adjusted my new born the next day. When I was pregnant with my 2nd she did the same. While pregnant with my 1st and 2nd, I did my homework and read several books on vaccines and would ask both my pediatrician AND Dr. Hicks their take (mind you, they had the same belief) and from there made a decision. Never once did Dr. Hicks tell me not to get my children vaccinated, but gave me both sides, the pros and cons of vaccines. YES, there are cons..like EVERYTHING, with vaccines and if your doctor doesn't tell you the cons...then he/she is giving you false information. Dr. Hicks still adjusts both my kids, in addition to my WHOLE family (mom, sisters, husband, etc). She is a excellent, knowledgeable and reliable part of our community and only wants the best for adults and children she adjusts. read more

Tracey Stone is of the nicest people I had the pleasure of doing freelance artwork for in San Francisco. She is not only a knowledgeable, professional therapist, but a personable and inviting person. Dr. Sam Rhame at More Mojo has rescued me. After several years of severe increasing pain from a car accident, she is setting me right. Before Dr. Rhame: I have been going to a pretty good physical therapist until discovering Dr. Rhame. But with physical therapy, I felt that I was precariously barely keeping it together, instead of improving. After a few years of physical therapy, my health disintegrated and I had 6 months of barely being able to walk. My hips were so screwed up and I began to feel seriously disabled. I finally began to look elsewhere for help. After a few treatments from Dr. Rhame: I can walk again! It is profound. I am still going to her to keep it together-- but I finally am feeling hope. She is helping my body to repair. And she is a very kind listener, offering sympathetic comfort and expert advice. I think she is a genius. read more

My family first saw Kristine Hicks about 5 years ago when my first son started walking and like most new walkers was constantly tumbling. From one day to the next he didn't want to walk anymore, seemed to be uncomfortable when he attempted and out of nowhere started limping. We took him to his regular doctor who said to keep on eye on it and call back if he didn't get better. He asked my son to walk and didn't even realize which side he was limping on until I told him. Needless to say we left unsatisfied with the visit and immediately allies Kristine, who saw him later that day and right off the bat told us his hips were totally off. She gently realigned him and said he should be back to normal by that evening. She even showed me how one leg was longer than the other because of the misaligned hips. Sure enough by that evening he was doing so much better, we went back a few days later to see her again and after his second appointment he was totally back to walking, running etc with no limp, or discomfort. Kristine has been seeing him once a month every since. And now that we have a younger son, she sees him too! He received his first adjustment at two weeks and also sees Kristine once a month, he will be turning two soon. With two growing boys who are constantly getting banged up (climbing, jumping, falling, etc) getting them adjusted monthly is something we prioritize. During my second pregnancy, I experienced a ton of pelvic pain and receiving regular adjustments helped so much. We are so grateful for all the knowledge and care that Kristine provides our family. She always provides information in a way that leaves me feeling confident in making decisions about the health of me and my family that are best for us. Kristine and everyone at More Mojo is kind, respectful, professional and knowledgeable. read more

Darci and Kristine are wonderworkers. Darci has been doing her magic on my body. I have four herniated discs, arthritis, degenerative disc disease and I've torn my MCL in one of my knees. Every time I see her, I feel miraculously better. Plus she shows me how to massage, stretch or work out weak or troubled areas on my own, which has given me so much more body awareness and understanding. Kristine has seen both my kids when they have had their issues. My daughter was dealing with hip and knee problems, and my son, a skateboarder, always has something going on. Her adjustments have made a huge difference. On top of being excellent healers, both Darci and Kristine are kind and lovely people. Our family is indebted to More Mojo forever. read more
