It has a lot of charm with various stores including furniture, pet, clothes, stationery and other functional items for in and out of the house. You ask why review a whole block and not individual stores. There are individual reviews already in this site for the businesses, what I wanted to review was the atmosphere and how this block welcomes its customers. First and foremost, parking is worse in the Summer because more people are out but on a January Sunday afternoon, I found it easy to find a spot in front of one of the stores. However, since there is a Farmer's market from 2-4 pm, parking is available in most store lots that are not open on Sundays. If you are really looking for a different shopping district to visit on a lazy Sunday afternoon, go to this area. The beach access is within walking distance across Highway 101. There is a bridge over the train tracks that allows you access towards the beach. Important touches for this area is the benches that are spread around the block. It gives you an opportunity to rest if you are tired from walking. The most important part of this block is the availability of various options. Farmer's market on Sunday, pet boutique with its small yard with dog houses, stationery and furniture store with unique gifts, wrapping and household items and outside furniture for your patio and garden. There is also the Cedros garden which is a smaller version of those big box stores that sell plants. They are very knowledgeable about the plants they sell. So if you and the dog want to get away from the regular area downtown, Coronado or La Jolla, take a drive towards Solana Beach. Very dog friendly including some of the restaurants in the area, Wild Note Cafe (part of the Belly Up Tavern venue (musical acts etc.). The Pacific Coast Grill just over the bridge also have an outdoor venue that allows dogs. The beach does not allow dogs so if you have poochie, you can view the surfers and the beach and the sunset but not take him down.

The Ken Club is one of the oldest bars in San Diego and they are old school. Cash only! I have seen bands here and I have sung Louis Prima and Faith No More during Sunday night karaoke. Check out their calendar of events. Earthwell Refill is a zero-waste shop that sells household and hygiene products. Bring in your empty bottle or purchase or borrow one from the shop. We get our shampoo here. Stella Jean has good ice cream. They do a few vegan flavors. I want to try the Date Shake Cake. There are many that like to take trips through the many older neighborhoods which can be declared as some of the older neighborhoods are some of the many where the older times of San Diego can be found. I had taken the bus from the SDSU neighborhood and wanted to see the many other parts of San Diego that had remained hidden for many for some you have to take the bus to get to. To have taken the bus the travel to the area was a time of 25 minutes I had seen the many stops that when you travel on the San Diego Transit route 11 to the area of Kensington Adams Ave parking you can't find much. From the many years that when you look at Kensington the history of Kensington was the history and the background of Adams Avenue that had a Spanish background in the many house that were during the years of 1926. For many that knew Adams Avenue was streetcar row that in 1913, a massive trolley car barn was built, to store and perform and complete minor services to several hundred trolley cars would exit and enter if through a series of switches off. When you take a look at Adams Ave you are seeing the many areas that was the main track system that would take you to the many stops that would be along the many stops from the Antique Row and further on down Adams Avenue. With the many areas of Kensington, you are on a history walk that takes you to the many areas of the park and the many areas of the neighborhood that you see many of the art works that are still on the walls you see from the tattoo shops and the Lastat's coffee shop no that's not the Vampire it might be. The city of Kensington is one place that you can take a bus up to the area you can walk amongst the many locations and take connecting busses that can take you downtown and over to the area of North Park the many areas people do drive by and not know they have passed by history of the North Park area. As a Yelp Elite is take a day and take the bus you can save gas and time where you can visit the park and the many shops of Kensington and the many areas of Hillcrest you can ride the city bus number 11.

With your ticket, they offer open full bar and catered food like pulled pork and tri tip. The shaded tent with giant air fans was a life saver in the September heat. Views of the air show were unmatched since it's on the centerline of the runway. I recommend giving one of the reserved seats sections a try. The devil dog is pricey so look at all options. Overall, a great experience.

Parking itself was surprisingly easy and free, which I appreciated. The bigger issue is getting from the parking areas to where the vendors and air show are actually happening. If you end up in one of the farther lots, be prepared for a LONG walk. I'd highly recommend taking advantage of the shuttles unless you're okay with potentially walking 40+ minutes. Once inside, there wasn't nearly enough shade for how warm it was, and a lot of the lines were pretty long. Some vendors were even running out of ice. I really think they should have water refill stations throughout the event, especially considering the heat and how much time people spend outside. There were a decent number of food, drink, and dessert vendors, plus lots of displays and booths to walk around and check out. However, if you don't purchase one of the paid seating options, your choices for actually sitting down and watching the show are pretty limited. A lot of the experience is basically finding a spot, standing, and looking up at the sky. The flight demonstrations themselves were impressive, though, and the Blue Angels definitely take the cake. Their performance was fairly long and easily the highlight of the entire day for me.

We can always count on the OB Boardwalk for an eclectic mix of people. Tourists, locals, homeless…read more(not aggressive in our experience), buskers, craft vendors, surfers...you name it! First of all, we parked in front of the retail area and walked down to the ocean. Instead of parking here, you may park closer...at the end of Bird Rock Avenue. It's a dead end street with a beautiful mosaic bench that overlooks the vastness where the sky meets the sea... wow! There are steps that you can walk down to get closer to the water. I was just happy with the scenery that presented before me... If you have time, check out this scenic point. It's amazing! The birds know about this secret place!

If it's not for a half marathon, it's for vacation or pickleball tournament nearby. I don't do half marathons anymore. My presence here is for the latter nowadays. It's a beautiful city with lots of shopping, dining, entertainment, and many other to-dos. It sits right alongside the west coast. It neighbors the City of Oceanside. Two power cities to explore! Flower Fields and Legoland are two attractions that sure brings in many visitors every year. Carlsbad Village is another reason to be here. I could spend an entire week or two and wouldn't even cover everything. Resident homes are well kept at least from what I can tell on the outside. So many local businesses to support. If you've never heard of Carlsbad, it's time to get acquainted with it!
