I believe the place changed owners. Since then the card selection is not as good. Not the same old place. I will go somewhere else.

I needed birthday cards. Went to find some kids cards and almost all the cards had no envelopes. Trying to find an envelope for a cards took an extra 15 minutes. went to check out. Told the employee about the envelopes. She said, "yeah people don't like an envelope and find another one and then there's no envelopes. I said there are hardly any envelopes at all. She said they won't let me order any. I said I don't think this is the problem. Then she said well if you need an envelope there are some here. She had 3 big boxes 18"x8" of assorted envelopes by the cashier. Well this is where all the envelopes went!!! Before check out she was filling balloons and I stood there for 5 minutes before she checked me out. The door was open. She went outside because she thought one flew out of the store. She was looking in the sky for the balloon like she was trying to get it back!!! This was an older women maybe in her 50's. Where do they find these employees? read more

For a place called Card Frenzy, this place is so lacking. The selection is about as good as the folders car wash down the block. I wanted something cute and trendy, but the store is stuck in 2009. For all of this stuff in here it feels very jumbled. I don't understand what the goal is a lot of their offerings are things you can get cheaper at the Marshalls Next door, like cheap tchotchkes. read more

This is my favorite place to go for nice cards (I used to go to Party City, but the lights and cheap crap gave me a headache!)-- I mean, if you think about it, most people save their cards for a few weeks and then toss it discreetly-- so why spend $4 and more for a card?? The highest price I've seen here is $1.99, lowest $0.49. You aren't going to get the super funny, crazy cards that you might get from Hallmark brand, but there are still nice, religious, funny, or plain cards to choose from. Some of them sing, many have glitter, etc etc. They have cutesy items for gifts as well, and gift bags/wrap. The present items are a little pricy in my opinion, but its more appealing to look at than the other card store I used to go to. The store is clean and well organized, with nice staff. read more

We came across this store while we were out shopping for shoes at Marshall's and TJ Maxx. I suggested we stop in to pick up a mothers's day card for Sunday while we were out. We got a card for "mom" listed price was $4.50. Our price was $1.99. We bought a card for a wedding, listed price $3.99, our price was $1.49. These were really nice cards. They didn't look cheap. I've never bought cards from a discounted card shop (because I wasn't aware there was such a thing.) I would fully expect, and would pay the full listed price. We also bought a roll of wrapping paper. $3.95 is listed on the manufacture sticker but we only paid $1.50. This little shop had all kinds of things in there. We were in a little bit of a hurry so we didn't shop around. They have a huge selection of cards, gift bags, bows. ribbons. They also have little gifts like headbands, jewelry, wine glasses, scarves etc. I LOVE saving money. Now that I know where to get cards and gift wrap for about half the price, I ABSOLUTELY will! read more

Called and a person named Debbie answered. At first she greeted with the store name. Then hung up on me when I tried to ask a question. But I guess I wasn't fast enough for her. I called back but instead of a greeting all I heard was "hello". I asked to speak to Diane and was told she doesn't work there. I then asked if I accidentally called Countryside instead of Darien. Debbie's reply was yes and hung up on me. If this is the type of customer service this store provides then you are best off staying away from this store. This store deserves zero stars, not even one required to let the public know about this! RUDE and UNWARRANTED! read more

This card store has a nice selection --especially for blank cards, which I prefer to use for most occasions so I can write my own note. They also have a good selection of wrapping and last minute gifts. I agree with most of the other posts, however, regarding the rude customer service. Deb must own the place because she feels free to treat her paying customers with basic distain. It's kind of shocking. read more

Deb did not EVEN LOOK in my direction or up at me as I paid. Very Friendly with customers in line before me, but was not able or willing to help me. I had questions and would've spent more if she would approached me or appeared to be the expert in their store. However she was training/uninterested. Maybe next year! read more

I love Card Frenzy, however today really took me back with a rude worker. I was looking for my cards and a man came up and asked the worker where he could find a card from a dog. She told him. Around the corner and I just came from that section and told him where exactly it was and the worker shot at me that she told him where it was and to pretty much mind my own business. I couldn't believe it. I told her I'm sorry I was just in that section and thought I'd help. She said nothing and walked away with an attitude. I just couldn't believe this. I wanted to leave all my cards I had in my hand and leave but I needed them. I'll be hesitant on coming back. I'm sorry. Maybe worker had a bad morning, but it just opened for the day. You never know what happens in people's lives so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, but it's still not what a business needs. read more

This is the type of shopping center/store that you drive by a ton of times and never think twice about. I strongly recommend everybody stop next time. If you are a card buyer, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!! I will never ever ever buy cards anywhere else! I got nice quality cards ranging from 49-99 cents. I noticed they even had cards in other languages like German and I think Portuguese? And I mean, there were probably 5-10 German cards, not just one lame one off to the side. The amount of variety here in general is very good. They've thought of everything and given you the best price to boot! read more

Cute store. Apart from a BIG selection of cards, there are a ton of gift wrap/bag items, small gift items (candles, books, bags, jewelry), some candy... You can definately save a lot on cards by coming here. They aren't crazy fancy cards, but they don't look very cheap either. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Sure, cheap cards are great, but the staff is rude and completely unhelpful. I was turned away for having a cart that wasn't theirs even though their carts CLEARLY can't hold the two children I had with me (and my double stroller is WAY bigger then those tiny tj maxx carts). Then I was getting dirty looks from staff when my child was running around and no one ever asked if I needed any help finding anything. THEN, when I got to the checkout, the card I chose rang up a different price than what was marked and they said they don't adjust prices even if he entire row of cards is behind the wrong price point. The lady who turned me away in the first place wasn't there when I returned so I mentioned the rudeness to the cashier and she was rude too; she didn't even give an empty apology for the staff's rude behavior. Just awful! I'd rather go to the dollar store for cards or even pay full retail at target or Walmart because at least the staff is tolerable. I will never return. read more

Enter Card Frenzy where fancy boutique meets greeting card chic! First off, I was blown away by this store's extensive collection of fun and funky gems that can spark up any outfit without breaking the bank. A tremendous past find included a striking, chunky Lucite daisy necklace with matching dangly earrings. As a jewelry junkie, I think my heart literally skipped a beat during this purchase! The rest of the store is a menagerie of reasonably priced greeting cards, assorted kitsch, and the typical card store fare such as stuffed animals and chocolates. Love this store --- however, my last experience at checkout was met with two employes talking - complaining about another employe. Also, my cashier was complaining about how tired she was, how hard and long she worked and never even greeted me after I initially said "hi." I was in there after a long day at work and buying cards for a family member struggling with a serious life threatening health issue. Not a positive way to treat customers - even if the cards and wrap are a great bargain. read more
