We had the appetizer assortment consisting of lamb, chicken and onion bharji which was fantastic. Popadoms were fresh and served with a delicious pickle tray. I had the lamb balti which was one of the best i've ever had, fall apart tender morsels of lamb in a delicious brown curry sauce, spiced to perfection, incredible dish all round, i added chapati and rice and couldn't be happier with my decision. Service was outstanding, extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff making this my new go to Indian whenever i'm in the UK!

The Menu has a wide selectio of food, their Korma is so mouthwatering and the Cod Curry (cant remember the name) is so tasty yet different from the usual bog standard Curry's you get i most typically English Indian restaurants. The staff are very friendly and accomodating, service is spot on and the range of drinks and wine list compliments their food great. Prices not the cheapest but well worth the money, good quality food and Im sure the best cuts of meat etc are used. As a foursome we ended up at £20 a head for mains, poppadoms and pickle tray and a few drinks. They also now have started a loyalty reward card scheme, 1 point for every £1 spent, worth registering as once you hit 200 points you get a £10 gift voucher. Now the Excellent news: the food is fantastic, the staff are really friendly and it's a bring-your-own bottle place (there're a couple of off-licenses across the road) so the bill is much less than what you'd expect. Honestly, you can pay three to four times the bill elsewhere in town for food that's not as good. I can recommend the veggie vindaloo, tarka dhall, Bombay aloo, channa massala etc. etc. Plus, they serve complimentary poppadoms and pickles and table water: who else does that these days? Recent example: dinner at the Mangla for 13: bill £99. They don't accept cards so check down the back of your sofa for loose change and GO!

I ordered a Chicken Tikka Balti which is one of my favorite indian dishes (if it's done right). It was the most expensive indian dish that I have ever bought with 1 naan bread it cost £9.60, they also gave me a small starter which was a bag of salad and a sauce quite nice as well I had it after my balti. The Balti had plenty of meat in and had a rich thick spicey sauce, it was the hottest balti's that I have tried among restaurants and take-aways, I thought it was perfect at first but began to struggle towards the end because of the spices. I very much enjoyed the balti but the price is too steep unfortunatly, I may go back to Mangla and try a cheaper dish to see what it's like. The food is worth 5/5 but I have knocked off 1 star becauase of the cost.
