Clearly, I'm not the only one impressed by this company, or with their tech Brock specifically. About a year and a half ago we had CRD come out and install an opener for our home in Bellevue, and Brock was the install tech. I was impressed by his professionalism, his friendliness, his knowledge, and his care for great customer service as he made sure I understood all the functions of my new opener and all the safety aspects of the garage door (and gave me some tips and info about future maintenance). So I was very glad to see him show up to install another new opener in our new home, and I gotta say: dude is a rock star. He again showed all the characteristics I described above. And when explaining the wear and tear and preventative maintenance aspects of my door and springs, he gave me the life expectancy and signs to look for without any pressure to sell me stuff that I didn't need right now. So I've had TWO great experiences with Carbon River Doors. And Crystal, who handles the appointment bookings through email, was very nice and accommodating when I had to reschedule. In April 2011 we bought our house brand new, the salesman told us the garage door opener they install was a "top of the line" opener - we had the builder install it with our other upgrades and we moved in to our house at the end of May. Over the summer of 2015, the garage door opener failed and was flashing lights that required a technician, the summer, fall and holidays got in the way. When I finally got around to researching who to call, I found CRD had nothing but great reviews. Today Brock came and checked everything out, sure enough the motor/computer board were kaput, and the unit was far from "top of the line" as we had been told. He reviewed my options in detail going over pros and cons of each unit and helped me make an informed decision on which new opener to purchase. The install was very quick, about an hour. I bought my house in Dec 2014 and had Carbon River Doors come by and install a garage door for me since mine was fairly old. They installed a new motor for me and had it up and running very fast. Fast forward 11 months, I had an issue with my spring on the door that was old (Brock brought this up 11 months prior when he did the install that it was very worn and would need replacing soon) but I opted to not replace it. The spring broke and caused the door to be misaligned. They came out and had that fixed within minutes and were able to be out the same day I called. A month later I had another issue with the tracking in my garage and they were out at my house less than a hour after calling them and Brock had this fixed almost instantly and isolated the issue causing the derail at no cost. Today Brock & James from CRD performed the following for us: remove old garage door opener, install 2 new garage door openers, and replace rollers on two garage doors. They were diligent, pleasant, and conscientious, and provided instructions for the use of the new openers. They made sure both openers were hung from the same height and the same distance from the garage doors. So everything looks nice and symmetrical. The prices were reasonable, and as quoted at their office. They checked several things we asked to have checked, and if nothing was needed, they told us that. They did not try to push us into purchasing anything other than what we wanted and needed. My husband and I are always apprehensive when work has to be done at our house. James was professional, punctual, explained what he was doing, how long it would take, and left the space cleaner than when he arrived. When our vintage 1960s garage door opener system developed a problem CRD was recommended to us by our kids who said that CRD was the best of the people they had out to handle their own recent garage door problem. We contacted CRD and a technician (Brock) came out and quickly assessed our problem and provided knowledgeable recommendations on what it would take to correct our problem and update our system. Replacement parts were ordered and installed the following week. Brock's work was first-rate, prompt, and the price reasonable for the work required. Wow! A previous reviewer noted they are honest and awesome - but that is an understatement! They are HONEST and AWESOME!!! I had them come out and repair one of our garage door panels - they arrived when they said they would, and fixed it without jacking the price up or doing unnecessary work. My garage door crumpled after catching on my truck bumper. I had two companies give me an estimate. CRD's estimate was extremely competitive and it included extra door braces and new springs! James and his crew definitely went the extra mile and even adjusted my other garage door as an extra courtesy. Great service, affordable prices, and respectful! Called them on behalf of our elderly friend whose garage door wouldn't open. James (owner/operator) called and confirmed 20 minutes prior to the appointment, arrived on time, fixed a broken spring, lubricated the hinges, adjusted the opener and replaced and adjusted an old seal on the bottom of the door at a very reasonable price.
