Clean Freak Car Wash - Clean Freak has a spacious car wash tunnel

Clean Freak Car Wash

I can admit it: I don't always get my car washed as frequently as I should. So when I showed up at…read moreClean Freak, there was some work to be done and this place definitely got a test. First thing you notice when you pull up is how modern the site looks. Pulling into a car wash can feel claustrophobic, especially when lining up on the conveyor track. Clean Freak features a large car wash tunnel, and a staff member greets you out front to guide you into alignment. After the push roller smoothly glides your vehicle through, a lengthy, shaded vacuum station has ample room for you to pull in to tackle interior cleanup and their vacuums have a lot of power. What sets Clean Freak apart is that the station also has towels to wipe away those inevitable exterior spots right there onsite without having to use your own towel. Clean Freak's attendant Jose saw I was taking pictures and possibly thought something was wrong with my visit - so he courteously stopped by to answer any possible concerns (I honestly was just taking pictures for this review :)). What I learned from him is that Clean Freak is a softer wash and that you can ask for a complimentary second go-through if you're not satisfied. He offered the top wash after I mentioned that there were still some noticeable trouble spots and it definitely made a difference with deeper cleaning and adding some shine after my first ride through. It can be a hassle to find the time to get a car wash, and fortunately Clean Freak is close to where I live, so I'll make sure to get in there more regularly. I'm willing to bet visits closer apart will make Clean Freak's job easier when it comes to servicing my ride!

The wash itself was solid, and I really appreciate having the vacuums and towels available afterward. It really rounds out the whole experience. Everything was clean and well-maintained, which I always notice. Definitely a reliable go-to when I want my car looking fresh.

Chris also referred me to someone who can get dents out of my car. I'll admit I was skeptical at first, since he no longer has a brick and mortar location and I was nervous to leave my car in the garage. But Chris made it very easy to find him at Legacy West. He has organized with Legacy West parking so he can do his work in the parking structure on the 5th floor. He told me I can go ahead and keep my car keys and he provided me with his business card immediately. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. He texted me when he was finished, which was WAY FASTER than expected for the interior detail. I thought he was only going to clean a problem area I had, what he quoted me on. He went ahead and did the whole inside for the same price since it turned out to be simpler to clean than we expected. Chris did an AMAZING JOB and you can tell he really cares about customers and his work. I will definitely be calling him again next time I need detailing.

I told him I had received a consultation for bug removal from a nearby car wash and they recommended that as the best way to remove the bugs. I told him I was specifically looking for the bugs to be removed from the radiator and that I had called several other places asking for this and was told washes were primarily done through tunnels. He said that he offered that service and that he had an opening if I came right away. He quoted me a price of $59.99 which was for an exterior only service. He said the business was based in a parking garage in Legacy West. I asked if he offered an indoor place to wait and he said I should go to Starbucks or go to the shops. The directions provided my Apple maps were very unhelpful. He told me it was by Starbucks. I let him know that I had been to two parking garbages and I could not find him. I asked if he could provide additional details about the parking garage. He told me that I should put Legacy Hall into Google Maps and that would take me to the right garage. He told me he officed out of WeWorks. These directions were more helpful. When I got to the fifth floor I still could not find him. There was not so much as a sign out, but he flagged me down. He seemingly works with one other young gentleman. I pointed to the bugs that I wanted removed. He told me it would take 45 minutes. The washing was prompt as promised. The bugs remain in my radiator. I pointed this out to him and he said he thought I was referring to something else. He said I needed a hose to spray that out. I agreed, and expressed my disappointment as I had specifically requested a power wash. I saw no evidence that water was used on my car unless it evaporated in the five minutes it took me to get from Starbucks. He kept repeating that he thought I was talking about a different part of the car. I honestly am unsure about how I could have been more clear. Due to this miscommunication, I paid for a car wash that did not meet my expectations.

I like the equipment and chemicals utilized. All works as a…read moreself serve car wash should. My issue is being overcharged for use of wash. The "stop" button, obviously does not work. Once again, I was charged $25.00 to wash my car. No way I used this much time. I can't afford to use "tap to pay" at $25 a pop. Quarters are too inconvenient. Owner, if you read this, what do you suggest? And, how do I get a refund on the overcharge?

Cougar isn't glamorous and they have basically zero customer support but because they manage to…read morekeep everything running and they keep the place clean, they win the 'best self service car wash business' competition in the Frisco, Colony, Little Elm area. Basically, every other self service car wash business within 10 miles is utterly horrible and Cougar, while not glamorous, gets the job done so 'In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.' If you need someone to talk to about your car wash experience at Cougar, you should probably get your car washed elsewhere because Cougar tends to have various anonymous people 'running' the facility, most of whom are never there and who also provide no means for contacting them. If you wash your car at least once a week, install the Coinless app and you'll be automatically be charged $25 / month which nearly always covers the time required to wash your car so it is worth it because you are basically paying a little over $6.00 per car wash. ($25/4 = $6.25). If you don't wash your car that often (let's say once or twice a month), then of course your cost per car wash goes up ($25.00/#washes per month) is $25 per wash if you only wash your car once a month. Since I have recently scaled back the number of times that I wash my car per month, I elected to delete my account from within the Coinless app, which, as far as I can tell, is the only possible way to keep them from charging me another $25 on the 23rd of this month. Similar to the Cougar Car wash, it is extremely difficult to actually find someone to talk to at the 'Coinless' company so I'll be watching my bank account for any future charges to my bank account after I delete my Coinless account via the Coinless app. Moving forward I'll just use quarters to pay for my car washes at Cougar.
