Very frustrating experience…read more I brought my car in for a noise issue and was charged $1,400 to replace a wheel bearing. The noise was still there. I brought it back and was charged another $1,100, and again was told the issue was fixed. It wasn't. Two days later I took the car to Southside Auto and they diagnosed the real problem within 10 minutes -- the right-side wheel bearing. This also meant that parts were replaced at the first garage that did not need to be replaced to resolve the original noise issue. They also pointed out a dented rotor on the right side that was causing a loud noise when braking. When I tried to discuss this with Angelo and asked about a partial refund, my concerns were dismissed. After spending about $2,500, the original issue was never properly diagnosed here. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

After a major muck up by the Toyota dealership on Dufferin they offered me a free tire swap…read more(winter/summer), fluid top up, and maintenance package. At the end they recommended I replace one front control arm bushings and rear trailing arm bushings. Estimate $1400. I took it to Joe at Malfara and he quotes me a little over HALF what Toyota wanted, so I left my car with him. He calls me an hour later to say there is zero reason to be replacing the bushings. Some normal wear and tear, but he's tested them and there was zero give. I pick up my car and he refuses to charge me anything even though they did a thorough suspension inspection - tells me to bring my car back when there's something actually wrong with it. This solved the problem, I had a heated dispute with the owner and his wife due to the original mis diagnostics and unauthorized work.They would not reinstall the original catalytic converter and discount the the price that I paid for the replacement of the catalytic converter from the unauthorized work invoice. They sold my OEM cat. converter and pocketed the money. Such horrible people ,the owner is supposed to be god's gift of a General Motors mechanic.

I appreciate the fact that this Auto Shop doesn't try to upsell you on services that your car doesn't need. The mechanics here are HONEST and won't try to price gauge. I got my oil change , tune up within and inspection within a couple hours and I was on my way . I'm not sure that they are the cheapest out there but for the convenience , top notch service and the quality work that they do, I don't mind paying an extra $20 bucks. When it comes to cars, you shouldn't be too cheap anyway! The only way they could improve would be to have some water available for Clients as we wait for our services, especially since the office /waiting area is small. When It was my turn oil was changed, then he tried to scam me into an engine flush, should mention I have a 2022 Toyota Corolla 51280km, which I refused not needed, then the worker showed me a pic of an old rusty undercarridge and tried to scam me into rust proofing which I get every year, again I refused, I went to Krown for my rust proofing and asked them to take pics of my undercarridge and it was impeccable, not a speck of rust.
