I opted for the gold ceramic pads for $480 all-together. Communication and service was quick and efficient, and the repair took about 50 minutes. The owner was kind and agreed to do the service at an open area which was preferred. At the end, they let me drive around the lot for a bit to test out the new brakes. I met with the seller of my vehicle at Aaliyah's Auto Shop for a pre-inspection. During the…read moreinspection, the owner, Jesse, informed me that my vehicle had a "very small" water pump leak and that the coolant level was low. He stated that he topped off the coolant with fluid and showed my husband a picture; however, the picture he showed was only of the coolant, not of an actual water pump leak. At no point was I shown a picture or physical evidence of a leak itself. Due to the stress of the transaction and being surprised by this diagnosis--especially since I regularly maintain my vehicle every three months--I did not ask to personally see the alleged leak at that time. Jesse also stated that the vehicle needed new brake pads because they were due for replacement. A few days later, I contacted Jesse to request a photo of the water pump leak. He then informed me that he did not have any photo of a leak--only a photo of the coolant. He went on to say that the car was otherwise "perfect," drove great, and that the only issues were the need for new breaks and a new water pump. Because of these inconsistent statements, I took it upon myself to have the vehicle inspected at a Honda dealership while also completing an oil change. The certified Honda mechanics did not find any water pump or coolant leaks (please see attached video). Additionally, they confirmed that the brakes were at approximately 50% life remaining and did not require immediate replacement. Based on these findings, I am deeply concerned about the accuracy and integrity of the inspection performed at Aaliyah's Auto Shop. It appeared that unnecessary repairs were recommended without sufficient evidence. Jesse also emphasized that his shop was the cheapest in town and that he offers the best prices, which further raised concerns that the diagnosis may have been influenced by sales motives rather than factual mechanical issues. I believe this experience demonstrates a lack of transparency and reliability. I strongly encourage anyone seeking a pre-purchase inspection to consider using a trustworthy and reputable mechanic or dealership service center to avoid receiving misleading or inaccurate information.

Sometimes parts take time or no longer are made or hard to find, but they were able to find and repair smoothly while communicating well. The prices they have are reasonable. It's not the dealership, but the quality to me was just as good if not better and not paying the dealership prices. Our vehicle runs smoothly now thanks to these guys troubleshooting. Outstanding Experience…read more I recently took my 2016 F-150 with 100,000 miles to Wayside Garage for its 100K service, and I could not be more impressed with the experience. From the very beginning, Jacob was fantastic. The night before I brought the truck in, he called, went over everything with me, had pricing ready, and made sure we were all on the same page. Once I dropped it off, they performed a thorough inspection, sent me the results, called me to discuss everything, and were completely upfront about the recommendations and costs. We were even able to negotiate the work that made the most sense for me. What really stood out was how they handled an oil leak I had noticed. After the initial repair, the leak unfortunately returned. I brought it back, and they found another issue, explained that it hadn't been something they could have reasonably identified during the original inspection, covered the labor, and sent me on my way. When the leak happened again, they ultimately determined it was a manufacturer-related issue. They took care of my truck, provided me with a loaner, worked through the warranty process, and kept me updated throughout the entire process. When I picked it up, Jacob even showed me the old part and explained what had happened, including the difficulty they had encountered with Ford no longer manufacturing the valve covers for my 5.0 Coyote for that model year. That's the kind of service you hope to find in a repair shop. Things happen, especially with a 100,000-mile vehicle, but what matters is how a shop handles those situations. Wayside was professional, honest, transparent, communicative, and genuinely helpful every step of the way. This truck means a lot to me. I plan on keeping it forever and eventually passing it down to my kids, so finding a shop I can trust with it is extremely important to me. I honestly could not recommend Wayside Garage more. And if you need someone to take care of your vehicle, ask for Jacob. He was awesome from start to finish.

Luckily I knew about those things and already had an appointment at a tire store the next day, but it's nice to know they do a general quick inspection to make sure things are good. When I got back for the pickup the mechanic was test driving the vehicle, also a sign of a good mechanic shop. The bill was exactly what I was quoted and I was happy with the price. I feel like it was a good value for getting done what I could not do myself. I think some of us, like myself, have a mechanic friend, but I chose to go here because I wanted it done right and I trust they do it right. The car i took in for service was a family van and we need it to work right and to be reliable. I don't know if everyone feels like I do that these days you always have to fight to get things done right or be prepared for something wrong or to cost extra or whatever but this was simple. Tell them what I need done, drop it off, pay for it and pick it up. I was pleasantly surprised there were no hickups.

I had appointment. When I arrived, the first staff member flatly told me they couldn't do it. Conflicting Information: A second worker stepped in and told me to park in a specific spot, promising I would be the "next car." Instead, I sat there and watched them take multiple other vehicles ahead of me. When I politely asked for an update, the first employee explained that other cars take more time. I said ok. then the other person who said was the boss started an argument with me, condescendingly saying, "You're in a hurry!" as if expecting them to honor my appointment and their own word was unreasonable. The level of communication here is non-existent, and the staff's attitude is combative. If you don't want to waste your afternoon being lied to and then insulted for noticing, go somewhere else. A smog check takes 15 minutes; there's no reason for it to come with this much drama.
