Or! The good folks of M & T Auto Body could work their magic. Located just a few paces south of Hinckley's Financial District, M & T is one of those bedrock local places, one of the stronger threads in the fabric of their community. That love of place is reflected in their consistent high quality of work. My first experience was with a work van that was starting to look like a science fair project: "The Ravages of Road Salt." They got it looking shiny and new in no time for about half what I was quoted elsewhere. Just last week, I was able to have them replace a rather tricky system on a German engine with mileage nearly equal to a round-trip to the Moon. Did they run away, screaming? Did they laugh and point? Did they quote me four times the actual cost of the repairs, as another shop did? Naah. They did the job. Hats off to John and the lads of M & T Auto Body. I'm pretty sure they didn't even laugh when I rode my bicycle over to pick up the truck. At least until I was gone. "To pass over youth in dull indifference, to refuse the sweets of life because they once must leave us, is as preposterous as to wish to have been born old, because we one day may be old.For my part, my youth may wear and waste, but it shall never rust in my possession." -- William Congreve

The people at SERRA are not to be trusted. I was given terms to an agreement on Saturday, but when…read moreI showed up on Monday, the terms had changed. Just like in the case of the other review by "Eddie K.", they told one thing, and then the other. First, I couldn't finance the remaining balance of the purchase (about $2,700), then they told me I had to finance at least $5,000 - i said "ok". Then they changed their mind again and said I couldn't finance anything towards the nearly $10,000 purchase - cash only! And once you drive one of their cars off the lot - it's yours! The transmission could fall out in front of their dealership (after just handing them $10k cash) and they wouldn't give a damn! And yes, a car should have NEW TIRES. Serra sales cars with tires that are below the safety limit. The manager's name involved was Andy, and the salesman's name was George. AVOID THIS SHADY DEALERSHIP. The corruption that was "Doug Chevrolet" remains there to this day.

I was given a rate of 5.75% with 811 credit score and $30k down on a $39k vehicle. I've never paid over 4.5%. Was told I had to buy paint protection because I didn't have a trade in. Was told we had to accept these terms because we "aren't local customer base". And waited on and off for 4 hours! The business must think people are not intelligent to protect themselves from the car sales hustle. I would not recommend this very shady business. However, the salesman "Jose" was great and understanding. He is why I have a 2 instead of 1 star review. Sorry for a bad review but all 100% true.
