The cakes here are slamming!…read more I've been coming to Las Palmas for years and it never disappoints! This place is a true gem in the neighborhood. Their custom cakes are absolutely stunning. Beautiful designs, perfect flavors, and they can whip up something amazing even on short notice for birthdays, weddings, or just because. I get custom birthday cakes here for pretty much every member of my family and they all love it. The tres leches is next level moist and delicious. We also like the caramel leches and the guava. They have a creamy and milky texture and taste great for any celebration. They are really large cakes so expect to have some leftovers afterwards for the next few days. They also serve good food with empanadas and other breakfast options such as bacon, egg, and cheese. Their mangu is really delicious. Pair it with some coffee. bottom line, This place is fantastic. Go get yourself some breakfast and pick up some pastries or a cake (Pro tip: Get there early for the freshest batches!)

I have severl options to choice from and the welcome inspo pictures. I have gotten custom made cakes to grab and go cakes and they are as equally good. Compared to the wave of IG bakers who now charge a mini fortune this bakery is CHEAP and gives you IG inspo cakes. No bells and whistles the bakery itself looks like what it is, a neighborhood bakery. Customer service is very simple feels very Bronx, mom and pop if that makes sense. I recommend 100/10 this bakery.

I also wanted to support a local business. So my husband made the journey across town and brought home a few treats from Happy Cake, including a chocolate coffee dessert shaped like a Starbucks cup with a chocolate lid. When my daughter popped the chocolate lid off to eat it, we found mold growing inside the dessert. This is absolutely unacceptable for any food business -- I don't care if it's "my people" or not. For context, we bought the dessert on Sunday and discovered the mold on Monday. Fresh, properly stored desserts do not grow visible mold overnight. That means this item was already old, improperly stored, or handled without proper food safety standards. None of those possibilities are okay, especially when the dessert was meant for a child. We didn't bother driving all the way back to the store -- it's too far -- but we threw out that dessert and every other treat we bought immediately. I'm just grateful my daughter didn't take a bite first. I cannot trust the freshness or safety of their products and will not be buying anything from Happy Cake again. And if anyone thinks I'm exaggerating, I'm posting a photo so you can see exactly what we found.

The drinks were delicious, the food was just as amazing, and everything was presented so beautifully. You can tell they really care about the details. Luis, our waiter, was incredible. He was attentive, thoughtful, and truly paid attention to every detail throughout our visit. We were celebrating our book club anniversary, and they surprised us with a lit pastry and a celebratory song. It was such a special touch and made the brunch even more memorable. The entire staff was kind, welcoming, and attentive. I will definitely be coming back to be served by Luis and to enjoy more sweet treats. I cannot wait to try more items on the menu. Highly recommend.

As you enter its doors you're hit with that sweet bakery smell of fresh bread and classic Italian confections. The ambiance is classic and unassuming, letting the treats that fill the glass displays and what I dubbed the 'biscotti wall' take center stage, deservingly so. The service was outstanding, as the staff masterfully took care of the hefty crowd that was there while I was...boxing cookies, explaining biscotti flavors, preparing coffees, and filling cannoli to order. The olive bread was incredible, and is worth the trip alone. They have more biscotti variety than you could imagine, all which look and sound amazing. Great selection of breads, cookies, and other classic Italian sweets. We opted for a few cannoli to accompany our olive bread, and they hit the spot. The shell was outstanding- crispy, held together well, and good flavor. The filling had nice flavor, but was a bit too sweet and the consistency was a tad pudding-ish for my particular preference. Next visit we will definitely be sampling more from the biscotti wall, and bringing home more of that olive bread! Great, can't miss spot!
