They are exceptionally pleasant, attentive, detail-oriented, and super, super organized! We booked the Taylors many months before our daughter's April 2014 wedding because we fell instantly in love with them and their work! Kelli is a wonderful resource for anything related to wedding planning in Birmingham, which proved to be a huge help since we are fairly new to the area. Both Kelli and Daniel take stunning photographs and each manages to somehow capture those little moments on THE DAY that later make for heirloom pictures. There were so many amazing photos from our daughter's wedding and reception that she and our son-in-law struggled to choose pictures (from more than 800) for their wedding album. Simply the best, hands down!

She was amazing!!! She arrived early. She had a copy of our contract including every special detail I wanted photographed. In group shots, she directed people on how to stand to look the best. She. Was. Amazing. Worth every penny! Additionally, within a few days of the wedding, she sent me a "preview" of her favorite shots which included a slideshow of 84 images. WONDERFUL PHOTOGRAPHER!!!

Review I hate I had…read moreto resort to a review to document my experience but here goes. Since my text messages have gone ignored by Hassan and who he is with, Honey, or whatever. In my attempt to support local black business, I hired Hassan to meal prep for my family. Trying to get on track after a short challenge, I paid for an entire month of meal prep. I have worked with him in the past and he was professional, so I expected the same experience. However, this time was different. Some of my meals were delivered on time, but, some were also late. Sometimes the communication was there when the meals would be late, at other times it wasn't. I was understanding through trying times in his life. Life happens. Still supported even though the deliveries were shaky. Food quality? Some things were good, some were not. I stated not much meat. Meat was in every meal. Low salt requirement. Some meals loaded with salt. I paid upfront. Distance was never an issue when working with him before. I live in the same area. Haven't moved. Been here for years. Halfway through this service he mentions adding a delivery fee for gas. Ok. That would be fine if you mentioned it BEFORE. Before I prepaid. Again. Never an issue before. Again. Halfway through the service. One day he mentions the entire household got sick. Ok. Being understanding of this, I said it was cool and sent well wishes to the fam. This was the last time I heard from him and Honey. I have texted for over a month for the last week of my food delivery. No response. Silence. . I reach out one last time to ask for my money back for the last week of no delivery. Silence. But. Y'all are on social media making food for game day and got engaged. So. Basically. You and your partner scammed me out of my money, over two hundred dollars for the last week? I have the receipts and text messages to PROVE IT. The total lack of respect and disregard for my family is appalling. You have kids, sir. Would you take food out of their mouths? You took food out of mine and I am not happy about it one bit. I want to warn you. It is not professional to handle business the way that you have with me. I have known you a long time and never was disrespectful to you. I supported you when you didn't have a name in Birmingham, AL. Let's get that straight now. Again. I would not take food out of your family's mouth. You chose to do that to me and my family. Karma is real and it comes around real quick and fast. Again, I hate to blast your business on these internet streets, but I stand in my truth always and authenticity. My brand is TRUTH and honoring who I am. Your service is a reflection of you. What message are you sending to the world? I would have respected a text message saying you can't handle my last week of orders right now. But silence! And you kept my two hundred plus dollars?! No way. Let this sit with you deep. Treat people right and your life will change. Until then. You will always be restless and unfulfilled. Then you wouldn't have to resort to treating your own people dirty when we support black business.

I was extremely disappointed by my experience…read more I told the photographer it would be our first time shooting as a family and asked for any tips prior and told her this was primarily for family photos to use as a Christmas card. The only tip told ahead of time was: not to wear totally matching outfits, but ones that coordinate. At the shoot, it was cold, so I understand it wasn't the most ideal environment, but the photographer seemed checked out. We got a mix of photos that were heavily edited, and in my opinion, poorly edited (overly whited out) and mostly solo pictures of the baby. (I am a snap happy mom so I have many pictures of the baby solo, and not many of the family as a whole--which I mentioned during the shoot). I was really disappointed by the emailed gallery, conveyed such, and asked for maybe even the unedited copies of the photos (I respect the time it takes to edit the photos). When requesting the unedited copies, even offering to pay more, I was denied even though I was really disappointed by the edited results. Most of all, I found photos of my child online without consent or request. Totally horrified. This was never mentioned (nor was permission asked). I only found them after looking for a place to read other reviews to see if I was the only person not happy with the results of this particular photographer.

I have been raised on the principle that - and I truly believe it - photography is an investment, no different than fine jewels or precious metals. Taking an image, freezing a moment, truly reveals how rich humanity is. And the best photographers are defined by their awareness of and the ability to capture the tiny moments in a persons life that reveal greater truths. I personally found Alyssa to be exceptional in every sense. Sophisticated yet sensitive, Alyssa herself is truly a beautifully crafted, four-dimensional entity. She loves details and intimacy, and she possesses a natural ability to capture beyond just mere glimpses of her subjects. Alyssa was graciously flexible, prompt, professional, and highly intuitive. It is my belief that Alyssa's presence has affirmed countless people of their personal worth and inherent beauty. To tell our story or give an account in detail of who we really are becomes impossible without relationships. I can say with utmost certainly that I am entirely thankful for my relationship with Alyssa and of her ability to consistently find opportunities to illuminate care and passion in not just my story, but of all the many narratives that she has captured in her career. I can only hope that I am given the opportunity to work with her beautiful soul again.
