When I called to place my order, they asked all the right questions: What was the occasion? What are her favorite colors/ what color scheme would you like? How old is she? What price range would you like to stay within? I asked for pink and purple flowers and told her what my granddaughter's dress looked like. I was blown away with how beautiful this bouquet was when I picked it up! And it smelled so good, too! I wanted it to be special for her because it was her first pageant. For $40 there were a dozen roses that were pink, purple and fuchsia. Also included were Gerbera daisies which were SOOOO BEAUTIFUL and in the same color scheme. They also made sure the bouquet wasn't too long since my granddaughter is only 8-years-old. This way, the flowers didn't overwhelm her since she's still so small. Can't say enough positive things about this experience and if I need flowers for any future occasions, I will use Hoover Florist!

That place is now out of business; shocking, I know. So needless to say, I was at a loss when my next experience for prom flowers came around. The group going was 2 girls and a boy, so the other moms and I wanted to make sure that at least the corsages were comparable. Another mom scoped out the local grocery and wasn't keen on their offerings, so from a past experience with The Petal Cart suggested going there. We didn't get our order in super early, in fact, The Petal Cart was able to work in our order the week of. We appreciated it, and as it turned out, an early order would have had no advantage due to a shortage of flowers pretty much everywhere. So the girls had decided to do flowers in both colors, and all would be equal. We picked out the colored ribbons we wanted to use and a general idea. They said they would make it work with what might be available, and she was on her way to the airport to pick up her flower order, which she said would likely be a surprise to her, too, depending on what was available. The flowers looked fantastic. They were sprayed to match the ribbon, and they ended up complementing the dresses nicely.

I took it apart to try and salvage some of the flowers; only to discover that two of the orchids were just the bloom wired to a florist pick. Not in water!
