Nursing home across the street, also on a dead end road so you could park your trailer there if necessary. It is located on the frontage road. Stacey checked us in and was highly professional, greeted me as a member. Also had some suggestions about restaurants in case we needed some. Room was extremely nice and comfortable, love the setup with the closet desk ensemble, sorry I did not get a picture. Breakfast was great all you would expect at a HIE good standards. Decaf coffee is available in the morning. They do accept pets, charge is $50.00 only stayed one night so not sure if it maxes out after so many days. Wish the rate was on the web site. Overall a good stay and would stay here again.

It smelled like wet dog and a division 3 boys football team after practice in the heat of summer. We went in, smelled the room, gagged a bit, and hauled butt out. They had this weird rainbow air purifier in the room (that's the picture attached) so they had to have known it stunk. It was on floor 4 maybe in the 420s??? Thankfully, the worker at the time named Sterling was very accommodating and got us into a new room immediately. Then we were on the 2nd floor i forgot where exactly but the early 200s. It smelled... better.... we went back to the car and basically gassed the place in lysol. highly recommend bringing a can if you intend to stay there. The shower floor was literally so nasty and there was someone else's food still in the fridge. Breakfast was good and luckily they had different kinds of milks for allergy people such as myself. (almond, soy, ect) We also just had a really eery feeling the whole time we were there. It was lwk scary and I did not sleep well. We also got 2 random calls from reception at almost 10:30 pm asking to confirm the last name on the reservation. Like what?! Can this not wait till morning. Also. The cookies in the lobby don't get refreshed till 4pm. I know it's not of utmost important but i wanted a cookie after a long drive . Anyway, yeah!! Bring a can of lysol and your own cookies and you should be good! Oh, and maybe some shower shoes.

Would be lower than 1 if that was an option. I booked my…read morereservation for March 19-6nights on the Hilton app with a valid working credit card a month in advance. I arrived just after 11p to check in. Levi was at the desk and told me the hotel was sold out. I showed him my email confirmation. He repeated they were sold out and canceled my reservation. I asked if the hotel would be putting me up someplace else. He told me it was up to me to figure it out and he didn't know the hotel policy for this and he left. It was 1130pm and they were sending a single female out in a strange city to fend for herself! Not okay. I was able to get some help from Ciera when I explained it to her. She was able to get me a room at the West Monroe location after midnight, but only for 1 night and at a higher rate. Ciera would have Denice (manager) call me in the morning. I went there and they said I had to check out in the morning. I checked out at 830am, Denice never called so I went back, she was not there and this hotel was still sold out. Left it up to me again. Luckily a room opened up at the West Monroe location and I was then able to stay there for the remaining 5 nights, again for more money than my original reservation. I have tried to reach Denice multiple times and to this day I have not heard a word from her. We are Hilton gold members. We travel a decent amount. This is not how things are handled when you oversell.

The sink had hair in it, the bed had hair as well, and the floor was dirty. The towels and oversized pillowcases looked very dingy and did not appear clean. We actually had to go to the front desk and ask for a broom so we could sweep the floor ourselves, which should never be necessary at any hotel. Although the hotel advertises a no-smoking policy, the hallways were filled with smoke and the smell eventually started seeping into our room. That made the stay even more uncomfortable. The staff was also not very friendly or welcoming. I can tell this may be a family-owned hotel, but the cleaning standards and overall service need serious improvement. For the price we paid over $350 for two nights the quality of the room and the experience was very disappointing. Unfortunately, based on this stay, I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made to cleanliness and guest service.

When my husband tried to get clarity on a mistake they made, the manager arrogantly barked, 'Let me set you straight,' and was incredibly ignorant when speaking to my husband. We booked three nights but ended up fleeing after two. On the second day, our room keys stopped working. The front desk clerk had the audacity to tell us we no longer had a room because it had supposedly been cleaned for the next guest; despite my infant and I being in the room all day and having it reserved for another night. Apparently a different clerk had made two separate reservations for us instead of one. We added a third night and requested to stay in the same room, 1 King Bed, Suite. Moe assured us that it wouldn't be a problem. The following morning Alana, called to tell us we had to switch rooms because our original room had a tub/shower and the new one assigned to us had just a shower, an utterly ridiculous excuse being there were no visible specifications in the room descriptions. Furthermore we should been informed when we requested to remain in our current room. There was no price difference or any indication that the rooms were different despite being titled the same. We canceled the third night and left, thankfully our power was restored at our home shortly after! Ruston, LA's Sleep Inn should rename itself Sleep OUT. Two-star hotel, two-star service, zero professionalism, and zero common sense. Whoever gave this place two stars was being extremely generous; it deserves One at best. If other hotels hadn't been booked, we never would've stayed, and now we know exactly why their rooms were still available. This staff will run this hotel straight into the ground if they haven't already!

Our extended stay at TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Monroe was a mix of positives and…read morefrustrations. As part of a group that frequently stays in Monroe for 44-day stretches, finding reliable accommodations is crucial. Despite some promising aspects, particularly the friendly staff and well-maintained lobby, my experience with housekeeping has been notably disappointing. Let's start with the positives. The breakfast at TownePlace Suites is consistently good, offering a decent selection that helps kickstart the day. The staff members are undeniably friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with any requests and inquiries. The lobby area is kept tidy, creating a positive first impression upon arrival. However, the issue lies with the housekeeping service, which has been incredibly unreliable. In the six weeks we stayed at TownePlace Suites, our rooms were cleaned only twice, despite repeated requests. Prior to booking, we had been warned by former colleagues to expect issues with housekeeping, and for their next visit they would pick a different hotel. We choose to give the hotel a chance, since a recent experience with Marriott was great. Unfortunately, the warnings were justified. Upon check-in, We were informed by the front desk that housekeeping would occur every other day. However, this has not been the case. After the first week of irregular service, I reached out to speak with a manager. The manager was busy at the time, but the lady at the front desk took the message and sent housekeeping right away. The response was prompt, but the interaction was awkward as I was immediately visited by a housekeeper who claimed the housekeeping services was every five days. Despite assurances, by the General Manager the situation did not improve. Several days passed without any housekeeping, and my co-worker resorted to calling the front desk again. On one occasion, a member of the housekeeping team offered fresh towels, but this did not address the larger issue of cleanliness and bed linen changes. We got two fresh clean sheets during our entire stay of 6 weeks. The first after our complaint on the 2nd week and the last on the 3rd week. After the third week, we notice the bed was being made by house keepers, but the bedsheets were not change!!. As we open the bed sheets you could see our hair from prior nights, and also stains that clearly showed it was the same bedsheets. In addition, there were bugs in the room, for which my co-worked request to be change to a different room, only to experience the same issue. I was so disappointed I didn't even bother anymore since all my request fell on deaf ears. Regrettably, my experience is not unique among my colleagues staying at TownePlace Suites. Several of them have voiced similar frustrations regarding inconsistent housekeeping services. One of my colleagues switch hotels after the second week. In conclusion, while TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Monroe has its merits such as friendly staff and a pleasant lobby environment, the significant shortcomings in housekeeping service overshadow these positives. Anyone considering an extended stay here, should be prepared to manage expectations regarding room cleanliness and maintenance. Having prior experience in the hospitality industry as a business owner, I am writing to you for you to know our experience during our stay. As business owner I always liked the feedback and reviews from my costumers in order to make my business better.
