So I googled fireplace conversions in Nassau County and the Fireplace Factory in Bellmore was the first listing. I called and spoke to Jocelyn who suggested I talk to Tom. I told him what I wanted. We discussed pricing and other options. I made an appointment and went there with pictures of what I have in my living room. I couldn't believe how many choices there are. Tom was wonderful! My house isn't set up for a fireplace which would heat the room, so I looked at the ones that were decorative. I found a very nice white birch model which would be perfect. I signed a contract and was on my way. I needed a plumber to make the conversion. Rather than choosing one of my own, I went with their plumbers, Clearway Plumbing and Heating in Blue Point. They were awesome. They were upstairs, downstairs, outside and inside, making all the necessary connections with my gas line. They spent an afternoon here and when they were finished, my house was immaculate. The next step was having the insert installed. There were several glitches trying to schedule a time, but Tom took care of it for me. The actual set up is done by Chris, who's been installing fireplaces for 31 years. When he was finished, he handed me a remote control for my new gas fireplace! Push a button to turn it on. Push a button to turn it off. Wow! A big thumbs up to the Fireplace Factory, their staff, their plumbers and their installer. My fireplace is beautiful, and I couldn't be happier!

We had an…read moreexisting fireplace that never worked since we purchased the home and wanted to 1) install a new gas unit to replace the old defective unit and 2) new mantle that fit the decor of our home and added safety for the little ones that play in that area. We started with a consultation with David who did a great job helping us pick a unit and mantle design. We signed a contract with an expected turnaround time of 6-8 weeks taking us to March. This was an important point for us as we have a 4 year old and needed this done quickly to minimize the disruption to her space. The project wrapped up this week (May) due to multiple delays related to their suppliers and sub contractors. Communication with the Project Manager assigned to this project was not great and I found myself following up quite often and being given information that was incorrect related to scheduling. This was the most frustrating part and only reason the review isn't five stars. One thing I'd point out; both David and the owner were responsive when I ended up escalating the delays. However, there wasn't much they could do to remedy the situation, but I appreciate they were responsive. Overall, I would recommend Fireplace Factory as the quality of work was great. Also the workers that came into our home were very professional and did a fantastic job keeping the space clean and with the overall quality. We are super excited with the end result and can't wait for the Fall to start using this often. I'd caution to give yourself a good amount of buffer for the completion date of the project. I was told this was an unusual experience, but as it's my only one, I can't validate if that is true or not.

Mike and his crew rebuilt the chimney from the roof line up, fixed the broken flue top, installed a liner, and cleaned my dryer vent (which hadn't been done in years). Carol called to confirm the time and work to be done and the team showed up exactly as promised. They worked quickly and efficiently, and left everything clean. Even my neighbor commented on how nicely everything turned out. All in all, I am very pleased with the job they did.

They worked around Decembers rain and snow and frigid temps to get the repair completed before Christmas. After the snow melted in March we discovered a 1 foot drop in the soil they had fill back into our 8 foot hole. And the membrane had separated. They were very prompt in fixing it to perfection. I hired with this company ONCE back in 2014 for a chimney cleaning, and post-cleaning they recommended additional services that, upon reviewing with a 2nd chimney professional - was not needed. Their sales system was basically providing the offer of a "low cost" chimney cleaning, as a segue for more upsells. Since then, they've CONSTANTLY pestered me year after year with sales calls / offers for chimney cleaning since they are "in my area." I've asked them again and again to REMOVE my number from their list - but they won't listen, so I've reported them now to the FTC since my number is on the DO NOT CALL list. Sorry, but any contractor worth his salt is always busy and doesn't need to drum up business (Hint: I manage 7 doors locally and over 40+ units now / over 100+ at the height of my holdings - every great pro I know is booked weeks / months out). Walking into Jetmore you note not only the well stocked showroom but engaging a salesperson you knew the knowledge of their stock and outdoor dining was unsurpassed. That experience had us requesting a visit and a quote from them. Needless to say, we went with Jetmore. From day one to installation day we felt like we were in good hands. We received education and direction, color samples and materials discussion. The customer service was very thorough and helpful. Installation happened in one day and the crew was incredibly responsive, helpful and just fun. A few days after the order I realized I had made a mistake - I ordered a dual fuel wood/natural gas oven, when I actually needed dual fuel wood/propane. I called and spoke to Luca who immediately made the change in their system. The oven was delivered the next day and the delivery person was extremely courteous and helpful. Again, I made another mistake. I forgot to order the stand to put the pizza oven on. I called Luca again and he took payment for the stand and offered to waive the FedEx costs since I paid for assembly initially. That would have been great customer service already, but to go a step further, Luca called me back and said they would put it on a truck and deliver it that same day. Such a great experience!
