My family and friends all just love this place. We kept seeing it as we drove by until one day my friend Mary and I stopped in. The fish is cut and battered right there. It's always fresh. Super cute place and incredibly friendly people. Odd location, but absolutely worth it for a pick up order. Got oyster, shrimp, fish, fries and chowder. Everything was super good and fresh. Man, they have amazing dipping sauces, even spicy mayo for the fries. Only things making this not an easy 5 stars is that their fish portions are a little small (still tasty) and their chowder wasn't memorable. Family run, this freindly fry house serves up fresh fish in a delectable herb and yummm-infused golden batter that I am over the moon about!This, mind U, is coming from a pretty serious non-seafood eater. My partner had the Cap'n platter with fish, shrimp and double clam strips he mmmmed all the way through, but said he regretted not getting the chips. Fries are average strings. I was so excited to find a place for fish & chips in Gresham. "Fish and Chips" in most of the English speaking world means fish & fries. Not here. They actually mean homemade potato chips (and not good ones). The fish wasn't bad, but It wasn't anything special either. Sorry, can't recommend this food cart. read more

The cod is excellent and the chips are perfect. I had lunch there today and enjoyed it immensely. Server wearing mask as was I. I went back tonight and what a difference. The parking lot is dark dirt which makes it almost impossible to see the driveway I accidentally pulled into curb. The server (woman) had no mask and takes order and money through large open window at breathing zone height. Recommendation: paint white stripes and illuminate that driveway. Everything they make is awesome. Does not look like much but the food is awesome. The clam chowder is meaty and perfectly spiced. Fish pieces are meaty and flaky fish with very light breadcrumbs. This was our first time here. Read reviews online and was really wanting some good fried fish. Ended up getting the calamari basket with fries and a cup of clam chowder. The calamari strips were so fresh and fried to such a nice golden brown and the tartar sauce was on point too. The crinkle cut fries were so so wasn't expecting much from them anyways. The clam chowder was good but maybe a touch too salty. I was genuinely surprised by the quality of food here. I was excited to try their fried clam strips. They were almost burned. they were dried out. I asked for no fries and double coleslaw. They did that with a lot of fussing. The coleslaw was dry and tasteless. They advertised cheesecake so I ordered an overpriced slice which was smaller than expected and was "dumped" sideways into a plastic container. First visit today, and not only was the customer service amazing by both staff there, the food was equally delicious. I had a Captain's Plate with fish, clams and shrimp. It was good, but a little disappointed the crust of the breaded fish was so hard or overcooked that it was not easy to eat. Fortunately the fish fell off the crust, but I felt I only got half a meal because of it. But it was tasty. Fries were OK. Coleslaw good, but small portion. Clam chowder was very good. read more
