As I have mentioned in other reviews, I hate mainstream Pizza. It is very rare that I find a place,…read moreusing similar techniques to those of Pizza Hut and Dominoes, that I will eat and not have to rinse my mouth with turpentine to banish the rancid flavour. I was SHOCKED when I came across Pizza Patrol. I wouldn't go as far as to say that it is awesome or a culinary hidden gem, but they sure make a good piece of shortening ones life span! They are super cheap (to compete with the big boys) and they have some very creative topping options. The best ones I have come across are the Lamb Yiros, Pepperoni (with extra spicy goodness) and, the Piece De Resistance, the Breakfast Pizza (Egg and Bacon) that is mind blowingly sickening but in the best possible way! Ps. You can also create your own Pizza so remember that everything is better with Anchovies.....Mmmmmmm salty goodness!

Pizza places are a dime a dozen. You have your chains, you have your independents, and your cafes…read more Pizza patrol is an independent, and a damn fine one it is too. I went in thinking I knew what to expect, and I was wrong. I ordered my staple: a BBQ chicken pizza. Normally I'd expect the sauce to be thin, the meat to be sparse and for the meats on top to be bland. Instead I found the sauce to have a nice kick to it, the toppings were plentiful (that was the first thing I noticed when I opened the box) and the meats were nice and spicy. The prices were also more than reasonable. Surprisingly it's the only non Indian restaurant along that group of shops. So if you're in the area and don't feel like Indian tonight, you could do far worse than venture a few shops down for a bit of pizza.

Seafood was exceptional and will be returning for all future seafood purchases. Have visited the Fish Factory in Port Lincoln a number of times and had no idea they were related until starting to write this post. Both are exceptional. K

I've been going here since I can remember and I'm talking from since I was a kid! However I won't…read moremention my age, but I'm no spring chicken, so I've been visiting a looooong time. It's only a stones throw from where I live and it killed me almost when I moved interstate a couple times as I couldn't find anything close that compared. Such a huge range of seafood!! From whole fish, that if you wanted gutted or filleted they'll do it for you and also will hand you the scrappy offcuts so you can make stock or whatever. No mess in your own kitchen, you beauty!! They also have a huge range of crustaceans and shellfish and all the iddy biddy bits like oysters, mussels and scallops. Not to mention all the different sized octopus and squids. One part I wish I could throw myself over and allow my skin to take over the aroma is the smoked fish!!! I freaking love smoked fish!!! I grew up on it as my Popsie always got some for Easter and Christmas. My parents also smoked our catches (usually Tommies) when we were kids. It was from then that stemmed my smoked fish addiction. All of their fish (apart from the smoked sliced salmon, I think!) is smoked on premises. You know this place is fresh when you see the workers out the back doing the sorting/filleting etc. However, there are a few fish that obviously gets imported but they label that to let consumers know. I'm off now to make a delicious seafood chowder and oysters Kilpatrick using what I bought today for my hubby's valentine's day meal. Yep I'm a good wifey!
