The portions were generous, and our meals were savory and delicious! There was one man working taking the orders, preparing the food and bringing it to the tables. He did all three well and was efficient and cheerful. We saw another patron enjoying a chicken schwarma that looked absolutely amazing as well. We will definitely make this unassuming little establishment a regular stop!

The cook took a precooked patty from a tray and plopped it in the microwave. After I left, I pulled it out of the bag. It was still cold! And now, also greasy! Since I had already left, I patted the grease off as much as I could. But I could only stomach about half of it. I should have checked the onion rings before I left. They were barely warm. There were even bread crusts in the floor behind the counter. Someone finally came out to bus the tables behind us, but never washed them off. When the waitress took my order, I asked for a sausage hashbrown bowl but with jalapeños instead of sausage. She told me I could order hashbrowns with anything I wanted, so I shouldn't get the bowl. I said "But there's no egg on the hashbrown list. I want the egg that's in the bowl. I just want to add jalapeños." She said okay and left. A few minutes later, she came over to tell us she had to go to the bathroom. Ummm...ew. Then she started lecturing us about coronavirus and how the problem is people who eat animals that shouldn't be eaten. She went on and on about how certain animals aren't made to be eaten and some people think they can eat any animal they want and blah blah blah. As a vegetarian, I don't believe ANY animals should be eaten, so this was annoying, hypocritical, and honestly racist. I just ignored her loud rant and looked out the window. Soooo much time went by before we finally heard the kitchen staff call out our orders. Great. I was freezing in that place because the a/c was cranked up and I was ready to eat and get out of there. A bit later, we heard them talk about the order again. It took about 15 minutes before we ever got our food. Like I said, the restaurant was only about 25% full. Food finally came out and I had no jalapeños. (I might have thought that they couldn't add things to these bowls, but my mom had onions added to hers. So go figure.) At this point, I just wanted to leave, so I didn't complain. I simply asked for salsa. The waitress asked if picante sauce was okay and I said sure. She went to get it and was gone for several minutes. I watched her talk to someone in what seemed like the break room, then talk to new customers who entered. She then did something at the register. All the while, my picante was still in her hand. Finally, she brought it to me. I stirred it into my lukewarm hashbrown bowl and ate as quickly as I could. We never did get our bill, but luckily we could just go to the register without it. I will not be eating here again.

It has always been served quickly here and is usually correct. More than most waffle houses can say, but I've never been to a bad Waffle House. The waitresses get to you when they get to you, which is the standard experience Your check varies in price from time to time, even if your order stays the same. It is the same greasy food that can touch deep into your drunken soul better than any other. Waffle House isn't meant to be a Michelen star restaurant, it's supposed to be a place for anyone. The drunks, the highs, the lows, 24/7.
