Shedrow, a Canadian brand of dog coats is IT. Got a cute coat for my pup, and was tempted by many of their other offerings, but a girl's suitcase is only so large. This shop had a great selection of all sorts of pet products, and way nicer outerwear (Duh, it's Canadian) than anyplace I've seen in the US.

COVID 19 review of Animal Vert on Parc. This is a FANTASTIC pet store in the Mile End. From the…read moreoutside, it doesn't look that huge but when you enter - it's a very spacious, beautiful pet store! It's probably the biggest boutique-ish pet store we've been to so far. They have frequent animal visitors and allow for pets inside, which is always a joy. We were able to bring Kimchi inside to explore and try out some sweaters! The service was excellent and the folks working were so nice. They were very patient and let us roam and browse. The best part is that it's quite spacious so you don't have to be worried about being too close to other people. Covid wise, they have masks and hand sanitizer as well as a protective barrier between you and the staff at the cash. They have an excellent collection of toys, treats and food (plus accessories like clothes). Everything is reasonably priced! One of the cool things about this location is that they have cats for adoption. They had two cats at the moment that people could potentially adopt, which is a great way to get folks to see a new cat and a great place to home cats as well (given they have the supplies and what not).

GREAT EXPERIENCE (IN A NONSTANDARD INTERACTION):…read more My daughter and I found a lost dog (small shih tzu - so cute!) roaming the streets and couldn't find its owner anywhere in sight. We brought the dog to this business - since we knew it was nearby - and they graciously accepted to take care of the dog until it's owner would (hopefully) come looking for it. They were also nice enough to take our contact info for communication/updating purposes. Within a few hours, we received a courteous email from the store informing us that the dog owner had dropped by and picked up the dog. Very nice of them to do this and I believe this informs on the kind of "dog store" they are (and the kind of dog lovers they have running the place). If our family ever owns a dog - we certainly feel comfortable with this place. Thank you!

If zero stars were an option, this is what I would leave…read more My husband took our puppy to get his nails clipped and a slight trim this past week. Although the grooming seemed fine, we noticed his eyes were extremely red. While initially concerned, we assumed he got something in it, or had a reaction to one of the grooming products used. However, over the course of two days, the redness did not improve. We took him into the vet today and they confirmed it was bruising and likely popped blood vessels, potentially from being pulled or handled improperly. Our dog is always within our care - we do not use doggy daycare, babysitters or dog walking services, so there is no other explanation than this happening while at the groomer. Our dog is a cavalier and while he is a 10 month old puppy, he is extremely well mannered, rarely aggressive or overly hyper, and not to mention has been groomed prior to this experience elsewhere and has never had an issue. It makes me sick to my stomach that an establishment can boast about such great reviews while clearly handling their clients in an abusive manner. Please, to anyone with a beloved pet, do not bring them here. It broke my heart into many pieces to see the pain caused from this experience.

It's incredibly unprofessional, and they should be ashamed of what they've done to our dog. To make matters worse, our dog has been completely depressed since the visit -- we have no idea what happened to him there. It's heartbreaking to see him like this. I honestly don't understand how this place is still in business. I've attached two pictures, before and after, so you can see for yourself.

Open to helping but not trying to push sales. Very knowledgeable and straight forward but without the attitude that I find comes from most other pet food "boutiques". I was also impressed with their offerings for everything from obedience training to cat boarding. If I were stuck with no one to house sit I would certainly feel at easy dropping off my little monsters.
