    Storefront, yes, this is it!

Meet Emmerich, he is the nicest, coolest, most coffee-knowledgeable guy you will meet. He knows and does every aspect of the coffee business. He is old school (beware, no credit cards accepted here), but really amazing. I never tire talking story with him. This little nook in the back of an industrial open bay (next store to Sun Dried Specialties- check them out too!) Is jam packed with everything coffee. It isn't a place just for tourists looking to buy some Kona coffee, but it's the secret go-to spot for locals looking to buy omiyage when we travel and take gifts for others. It is the spot for farmers to come purchase coffee pulpers, baskets, roasters, you name it. He helps out a ton of people here in Kona, and there aren't many other shops selling this kind of stuff. There is a fiercely loyal group of people who order via the phone and send checks. As I said, old school. No website, no credit cards. Not only all the cool stuff I have written so far, but what's amazing about this place, is the quality is great (you guessed it, emmerich does the roasting and bagging himself), but the price in insanely cheap. He is SO much cheaper than any farm or store you will see. I almost feel bad for writing this review. I don't want to blow up the spot, and he not have any coffee left when I need some!! It would be a shame to keep him a secret though, everyone should get to enjoy this coffee, this little shop that has so much personality, and the really cool owner.

Coffee, macadamia nuts, local honey, and more!

This is an out of the way stop that was recommended to us by our hotel concierge. We drove down after we were in Kona for snorkeling. Emmerich was busy preparing some coffee beans for roasting when we arrived. He gave us a back story on how coffee is made. We then bought a few bags of coffee, some macadamia nuts, and honey. It was a neat shop, and great prices to get some Kona coffee. I would highly recommend stopping in here if you are looking for some food items to take home from your trip. You can also order online and have products delivered.

We started to take some of the coffee in the bag out when Emmerich stopped us and said don't worry about it.

The tour is very casual, and you're free to leave whenever you want. I thought the tour was really entertaining, and we got to see the chasm left by the spring storms. You learn about the history of the farm, sample some of the other items they grow on the farm (like pepper), and take in the beauty of the tropical flowers all around. Even if you're not a coffee lover, you'll probably walk away with a few items from their gift shop. They have coffee (of course), mac nuts, plantain chips, and avocados as big as your hand.

As coffee lovers, Heavenly Hawaiian constantly came up in my research and I'm glad we toured for ourselves. The grounds itself are absolutely gorgeous and that view from the hill onto the ocean is unreal! I can't for the life of me remember our tour guides name but she was such a joy and extremely knowledgeable. Learning about the different coffee variants that are grown such as Kona typica, Progeny 502, and the "boujee girl" Geisha was awesome to learn about and see for ourselves. Did I mention endless coffee sampling? Such a relaxing atmosphere to sip all the coffee you want and enjoy that view. And the cutest cats on the property were such a delight mingling with the guests. All staff members were so helpful and they even treated us with a goodie bag of freshly picked fruits from the farm and a bag of peaberry bites (my new favorite) all as a thank you for paying a visit on our honeymoon! Was not expecting that all but such a sweet gesture! I would highly recommend Heavenly Hawaiian farms to anyone if you're on the Big Island or in the Kona area. Absolutely worth the trip up the hill and to feel the aloha from the staff and grounds.

We learned so much about what makes these coffee beans so special, from how they are grown and harvested to how they are processed and roasted. It gave me a whole new appreciation for every sip. And Ben, our tour guide, was incredible. So charming, so knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He made the experience engaging and memorable from start to finish. Highly recommend this tour if you are anywhere near Kona. It is an experience you will not forget.
