Just because it is a historic location does not make it a five star facility. Let me repeat that. The Bellwether House in Savannah, Georgia is not a five star accommodation. Just because it is a historic location does not make it a five star facility. * It lacks the following: * Valet parking * Bell hops * Actual suites: our Garden Suite consisted of one large room with two small, frosted windows, one bathroom and one closet. It reminded me of an isolation cell in my father's jail (he was a guard not an inmate.). There was a non- working fireplace * No dining facilities except for breakfast * No on site or nearby parking * No sizable bar * Worn appearance in places (see photos). * Steep and narrow steps to get to our room * Scarce storage space * Minimal electric outlets * When making the reservation for our 55th wedding anniversary I told them that we would be bringing our 18 and year old Daschund. They said there would be a dog bed and dog bowls. Unfortunately, Otto had three seizures two days prior to our arrival, and we had to have him euthanized. There was neither a dog bed nor dog bowls. * Only one trash basket in the bathroom * No heat when it was in the 30s in the morning, 40s by midday, 50s by sunset * No nearby restaurants in walking distance * No automatic refills of water or San Pellegrino, you have to ask * No soft drinks or alcohol in mini fridge * Weak internet signal Now, on the good side: Room was large Staff was friendly and responsive It was exceptionally cold Savannah is a quaint old southern town We are accustomed to real five star hotels like the Waldorf Astoria or The Kimberley in Manhattan or any of the Ritz Carlton properties in Florida

Plus the evening cookies were a delightful surprise. Of course the star of the show is breakfast from 8-10am. You can order anything off the menu. We split the syrniki (pancakes) and two egg breakfast. Also a side of bacon and fruit. Yum! I had the matcha latte this time and it was great too. Good thing Forsyth Park was close by to walk off the itis before our drive home. Shout out to the staff working on 12/19 - 12/20 for making our short stay wonderful!

We had a quick overnight stay in Savannah between driving from Florida to North Carolina and…read moreStaybridge served its purpose. When we arrived, we found the parking lot behind the hotel. It was sketchy and it was extremely limited. There is street parking available as well but thankfully, there was a spot behind the building so we didn't have to deal with any of that. The parking lot is dirt and is unkept, no grass, and some trash. It wasn't a good first impression. However, our car was just fine and safe. When we got to the desk, the receptionist was phenomenal! She was welcoming, warm, and helpful. During our in and outs in the lobby, every staff member we encountered was exceptional. Our room was 115 and was floor level, which was honestly convenient considering we had our dog with us and didn't need to use the elevator. We spent $8 more for city view and because we were floor level, we didn't utilize the windows because we were up against the busy street with people walking by. The hotel is set up strangely and has inside rooms with windows looking into the "atrium" which is the hallway at the floor level. Definitely not a hotel meant to use its windows from what I saw. This hotel is dog friendly and lots of dogs were here! When we checked in, they gave us a few dog treats which was a nice touch. Across the street is a small park area that you can walk down to relieve your pet. Our room was overall clean and it was very large. It had the basics we needed, hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There was also a stove, full size refrigerator, sink, and dishwasher complete with pots and pans, dinnerware, and utensils. There was a small bottle of dish soap. I'm almost sure the staff filled it with water because it was extra watered down. There was no sponge and no paper towels, so I had to use the kitchen cloth to wash dishes. There was also a coffee machine with coffee and tea (though the tea did not specify which kind) and a package of name brand popcorn which was a very nice touch! We didn't use the shower so I'm not sure what the water pressure was like. The tub looked dirty and maybe it was clean and just looked very worn out, but either way, we decided not to use it. The door situation to the toilet/shower room was really awkward to get in. The door was much too big considering the room size and you had to maneuver to get in. The bed was quite uncomfortable but the pillows were nice. I don't know if our room was haunted but it sounded like someone turned the faucet on at 1am and it kept going until I got up to take a look...no water could be found anywhere, it was super strange and after I got up to check, it never happened again. So I'm guessing this room has a friendly ghost haha. So between all of the little annoyances, why 4 stars? This location is GOLD. We didn't need to take our car out during our one night stay. Staybridge is right across the street from the river front and is literally a two minute walk to the trolly tour check in area, Cotton Exchange, and more. It was maybe a 5-10 minute walk to Wet Willie's. You really don't need to take your car if you're exploring the river front from this hotel. Such a super convenient location! TL;DR: fantastic location, pet friendly, great staff, uncomfortable bed, awkward hotel layout/parking.

You can tell that it's a good environment to work in and makes it enjoyable for the customers. Also the location itself is great! 0 stars for the room itself. My toilet didn't work at first, and when I went down in the evening to tell someone, there was nobody at the front desk, so I had to wait until the next morning. When I did tell someone they got it fixed, but the entire room reeked of sewage afterwards. It was hard to go to sleep at night because it smelled so awful. Upon my first shower, I found someone else's hair which is disgusting, and clearly the blinds and the furniture had not been wiped down before my arrival, because there were cobwebs and a layer of dust on everything. When staying at a hotel managed by IHG, I have higher expectations regarding cleanliness that weren't met.

It is in…read moreLenox, Massachusetts and hosted many principal musicians performing at the Tanglewood Music festival. The guest always came first, no matter what has occurred. You are renting a room to them. Contributing to your livelihood. The Thomas Weihs house and garden are beautiful in the historic district of Savannah. Some of the restoration details could have had a bit more close attention to detail, like spilled paint around the edges of the carriage house bathroom and stairs. I mention this because the co-owners, Michael and Gerald overly emphasize the need to respect their home and they post many signs around the premises that warn you of fees (fines) for not compulsively being aware of their rules. There are chains erected to direct you through the garden, codes for doors instead of keys and cameras everywhere. Michael a graduate with a hospitality degree is courteous and quite an accomplished historian and cook who prepares delicious breakfasts each day. Gerald with his degree in psychology takes care of the home, grounds and security. He seems to monitor the computerized door locks and video cameras quite intensely. Also since we had arrived, Gerald never greeted us or talked to us without us greeting him first. He was cold and distant. The first issue occurred when my partner used the front door to access the home to acquire a cup of coffee at the coffee bar in the dining room while waiting for breakfast. Gerald came out of the kitchen area and strongly stated "you didn't lock the door!" My partner apologized but Gerald already went to lock the door. He yelled, "this is my personal home and continued to scold her for not locking the door." He went back into the kitchen and was loudly yelling at Michael how this was disrespectful of his home and him. I heard this outside on the porch. The following morning my partner again went through the coded front door, locked it and proceeded to the coffee bar. She opened the door to the porch to deposit her iPad and Gerald comes barreling out of the kitchen after observing on his computer the door opening. He begins yelling, "Ma'am, you again are being disrespectful of our home. Michael is the only one who can open this door!" My partner did not understand what she did wrong and said she just wanted to get coffee. The conversation continued and for a few seconds and he said we needed to leave now without breakfast. My partner cursed at him and we left within 15 minutes. Yes there are two sides to every story, but no business owner should try to be so controlling and rude to a guest. His partner Michael made no attempt to apologize either time, basically supporting this bad behavior. We have both traveled extensively and have never been treated so poorly and disrespectful. Gerald is one of the most angry and rude persons we have come across. Gerald should not be hosting a B and B.

We received a call from TWH that evening and we explained that we were delayed in traffic. We were told we could not check in that late and we told him we completely understood and that we would spend the night somewhere else and check-in in the morning. The next morning we showed up and rang the doorbell but no one answered. A guest kindly let us in and when he came out he reprimanded her for letting us in. We were than told we could not check in till 3pm, we asked if they could make an exception and that's when things got ugly. We were rudely told there were rules and regulations that had to be followed. He kept interrupting us with a bad attitude and even told us he had PTSD from serving in the military. He then threatened us with his spouse Big Mike. We tried to reason with him but he would not have it and kept yelling and reprimanding us for not following the rules. We tried to explain to him we were going to our granddaughters volleyball tournament and could not be there for a 3pm check-in which would make us miss another night. . He kept being loud and very angry treating both my wife and I like if we were little kids that he was reprimanding. At one point I thought to myself we were going to get into a physical altercation and that's when I decided it was best to leave him in his misery. We did exchange some words before we left but i figured it was better words than fists. Later I felt like if it was done on purpose because since we missed the check-in the first day we could not cancel the reservation so it was to their advantage to have us leave and loose our money which is exactly what happened. I served our country aswell and yes I know how the military is about rules and regulation but we are not in the military and we are no longer soldiers, we are humans and should treat each other as such. I lost $1500 dollars to TWH. If i could give them a negative 5 stars I would. Don't waste your time with The Thomas Weihs House. I've read good reviews about them but I have also read bad ones. I guess it depends on his PTSD, at the end its not worth it please make reservations somewhere else.

They offer a wide range of classes throughout the week--morning, afternoon, and evening--with options for every skill level, from beginner and relaxation to back therapy and advanced. I first discovered them through their amazing intro special for locals: three weeks of unlimited yoga for just \$59. It was the perfect way for me to try something I had always wanted to do but didn't know where to start. After the intro period, you can choose from various membership packages, pay-as-you-go, or even try their online remote classes if you prefer to practice at home. What really won me over, though, were the incredible teachers and the supportive community. It didn't matter what your body type was--curvy, slim, recovering from injury, or anything else--everyone was welcomed with open arms. The atmosphere was so positive, and I never once felt out of place. I have knee issues, so there were a few positions I couldn't do, but I was always able to communicate that at the start of each class. The instructors would offer modifications or alternatives, which made me feel cared for and supported. On top of regular classes, SYC also hosts workshops and mini music concerts with yoga--another great way to experience the studio. Overall, SYC is a truly welcoming place to practice yoga, no matter where you're starting from.

My instructor Stephanie was fantastic. She has a very clean and deliberate teaching style unique to her own practice which set her apart from the majority of yoga instructors I've had in my time. Looking forward to coming back soon.

I think they do a pretty good job in contract execution, payments and accessibility for questions or information. If you encounter a problem, however, please read our experience which provides a perspective on how Southern Bells is likely to handle it. Other reviews where there were problems had similar experience stating that Southern Belle doesn't seem to care about their customers. I should have read those reviews before booking but then again I wasn't expecting to encounter any issues. My wife and I booked a condo for 4 nights on Tybee Island. April 26 through April 30 through AirBnB, which is serviced through Southern Belle Vacations, the property management company. My wife and I are in our 70's. We sought out a condo that had an elevator, few are available and although we aren't handicapped, we do have knee and hip issues which make it uncomfortable to carry suitcases, groceries, or purchases up several flights of stairs. The saga about the rental mostly begins about 10 minutes before check in. We booked and paid a couple months before our stay. Shortly after the booking they informed us the pool may not be available for our stay and pest extermination would take place within an hour and a half window while we would be staying there. We aren't hard to get along. They might have been nice to suggest a minimal discount if the pool wouldn't be ready for our stay since at time of booking the pool was supposed to be available. They didn't. The concept of one should get what one has paid for will be more relevant further on as we share our experience. About 10 Minutes before our check in we get a text telling us the elevator will not be working for our arrival. I called, they said we're sorry, we're working on getting it fixed. I asked if they could have someone take our bags up the 4 flights of stairs. They did have one of there employees still at the condo and he did take our bags up. We appreciated that. After our bags were taken up we take the stairs up to the condo and upon entering my wife notices the floor is wet. I say, they must have been mopping the floors just before our arrival and since its humid it might take some time to dry. We left and came back about 6 hours later and see the wetness on the floor is worse. I look into the utility closet next to the kitchen. The HVAC system is dripping water onto the electric hot water heater which is running down to the pan under the hot water heater, and is overflowing on to the floor. I call and get the after hours maintenance person on the second attempt. They call the owner who shuts off the HVAC system to prevent further damage and they tell us someone will be out the next day. No HVAC overnight. We leave the condo in the morning and return about 12:30 PM. We see and tell them the HVAC is still off. The condo is over 76 degrees and humid and there is no HVAC repair person in sight. The elevator and pool are still not working or available. They tell us they are working on all issues. We leave again and return about 6:30 PM. The HVAC unit is running but there is water on the hot water heater and the drain pan is full and leaking into the floor again. I call the Southern Belle after hours person again who calls the owner. The owner shuts off the HVAC system again to prevent damage and remains off for our second night. The elevator still isn't working and in fact starts acting up and making bell sounds and opening and closing every 10 to 15 seconds. The elevator services adjacent condos and my wife says when the elevator keeps opening to both condos she sees the woman next door on her couch. I go down to the garage thinking someone might be working on fixing it. No one is at the elevator but I run into the woman next door. She went down to the garage before I did and found someone to cut the elevator power. I go back up to the condo to call Southern Belle again and decide I might as well check out the rest of the condo for any other issues as well. We find some trivial issues such as a totally missing hall light, a burnt out other hall light and a missing drain plug in a bathroom sink. These are minor issues but doesn't hurt to point out having paid $1763 for the 4 night stay. What was bothersome though was the front bedroom smoke detector right near the exit to the stairs was hanging from the ceiling with no battery and obviously inoperable. I mentioned even though the missing light bulb, burnt out light, and sink plug are pretty minor, the smoke detector near the door exit seems more serious since its adjacent to the only exit way. They did come out the next day but removed the detector and didn't replace it until the following day, Tuesday. We left early Tuesday purposefully to avoid the p
