Captain Bill regaled us with local and colonial lore bringing the rich history of the York River region to life (complete with artwork representing Battles of the Capes and Yorktown!). Captain Bill is an expert sailor and prioritizes safety. We felt comfortable at all times. We especially enjoyed learning more about the science of sailing and waterway protocols. Upon learning that our teenager sails, Captain Bill invited our son to crew and even temporarily take the helm. What a treat! I can't think of a better way to spend a beautiful Virginia day than on the water learning from Captain Bill. Not to be missed!

It was an interactive sail and we got to take part in the operation of the boat. Was a lot of fun learning the ins and outs of sailing. One of the nice perks is that is a small group of folks on the boat that adds a much more cozy experience. We met a lovely couple and their kids (Rich, Heather, Caitlin and Jackson) from MN and enjoyed our time together. The end of our sail was made special when rarely seen group of dolphins joined us and provided much appreciated entertainment. Boat didn't require a boating license so any adult could drive, super easy to drive and dock, was in gorgeous shape, all the kids LOVED being on it. Tommy was our contact, he was GREAT with communication. He dropped the boat to our dock nice and early, did an informative walk-through of everything, and then made local suggestions for where to go. Our house was in close boating distance to Lake Anna Tap House (which was a GEM), so we docked there daily and hung out. Tommy also recommended a sand bar about 15 minutes down the lake where we could dock, kids could swim and play, and was great for some adult lounging. We had such a great time on the Lake that we will be coming back for sure, and Tommy and CBR will be our go-to for anything Boat rentals. Couldnt have had a better experience.
