I had the pleasure of working with Dan at SMS Generators for the first time earlier this month on…read morean indoor/outdoor event that required a generator. And when I say "pleasure," I mean "sheer luck," and when I say "working with," I mean Dan saved the day. Because as it turns out, I didn't just need a generator - the entire electrical situation on site turned into a quasi-nightmare. And my event would have been a literal nightmare had Dan not swooped in with his guidance, expertise, timeliness, and professionalism. In fact, when I jumped on Yelp to attempt to compose some kind of helpful review/gratitude-statement that reflects my total appreciation and respect for this business, I was kind of blown away that there aren't like 100+ five-star reviews for SMS Generators. How is this possible? And then it occurred to me - what happened to me is probably just what happens to everyone who has the good fortune and foresight to work with SMS: before you contact SMS, you have a problem. After you've had the pleasure of working with SMS, you can't even remember ever having had a problem to begin with. SMS Generators not only eliminates your problems, but also possibly even erases them from existence?!? Maybe it's magic, maybe it's Dan at SMS Generators. Whatever the case, next time you're having an event, do yourself a favor and give SMS a call. You might just forget that you ever needed to call them in the first place. (But *do* leave them a review! They deserve it.)

Ok cool, so a few days I would assume....a week goes by no call about the part/price. I call and the lady said there's a carburetor on eBay/amazon but not sure if it'll work for your mower...this is what you guys do so I'm sure you have run accross this problem or this style of mower before. Said she'll call me back, days go by no call, I call back and the guy behind the desk says I'm with a customer I'll call you back...no call back for two days additional. I got fed up about getting the run around so went and picked up my mower. A serious lack of communication from the business and zero customer service. Yes pricing might be reasonable but that's not grounds for slow service and no communication.

I've been looking for a Power Trim edger which has been extremely difficult to find in Cali. Alex was so polite, responsive to phone calls, and patient in explaining the equipment performance and history. I also ended up purchasing a used gas powered Echo chainsaw for a great price. Something I needed for all my fire wood pile and tree trimming. If you have tree trimming power tool needs or landscaping equipment needs and want professional, trustworthy, hassle free experience I highly recommend Simon's Power Equipment.

Gus Gomez and Calgrove Rentals Saved the Day!…read more I rarely write reviews like this, but Gus Gomez at Calgrove Rentals absolutely earned every one of these five stars today. We were working on a major project in Beverly Hills and suddenly found ourselves in desperate need of a mid-sized mini excavator. I had already called 8 or 9 different equipment rental companies around Los Angeles with no luck. We had a 200-ton crane standing by, a full ground crew on site, and approximately $5,000 worth of Beverly Hills road closure and traffic control in place for the day. If we couldn't get that excavator, the entire job was in jeopardy and we were looking at potentially losing more than $25,000 between equipment, crews, permits, traffic control and lost production. Then I called Gus Gomez at Calgrove Rentals. Gus immediately understood how serious the situation was. On an extremely busy Monday, he dropped what he was doing, went to work for us, and somehow managed to get the machine we needed delivered to our Beverly Hills job site in LESS THAN TWO HOURS! That kind of customer service is almost impossible to find anymore. Gus didn't just rent us a piece of equipment--he saved our entire job and saved a lot of hardworking people from losing a day's pay. After nearly 30 years working with contractors, cranes, heavy equipment and specialty projects, I know exceptional service when I see it. Gus Gomez and Calgrove Rentals have earned my business and my highest recommendation. If you need equipment in the Los Angeles area, CALL GUS FIRST. Thank you again, Gus. You really came through for us when we needed it most. Captain Roy CRT TREES
