As a first time physical therapy recipient, I chose Bellingham Physical Therapy due to its…read moreproximity to my office. However, after the third visit I stopped going. Why? Simply put... I was expecting more. More hands on work and more interaction. What did I get? Verbal Education in my problem area for a large portion of my visit followed by handouts of the exercises I needed to do at home. Hands on was lackluster and limited. It wasn't until I went to a different therapist that I realized that leaving Bellingham Physical Therapy was a good decision for me. They immediately had me doing exercises followed by intramuscular stimulation and acupuncture. I feel that the focus on my problem and the efficient use of time was well worth the money spent. PT is not cheap! Wish I could get my money back... With all that said, I do want to say that I did appreciate the front office staff who are friendly and positive.

Steve and Brendan both did a great job of giving me the proper exercise regimen and training to remedy my neck and shoulder pain. They provided the exercises and performance feedback during the session, and clear written instructions for me to follow at home. I was recently seen at this clinic due to years of ongoing concern of pain in various parts of my…read morebody. The receptionist had some of the best professionalism and transparency. I was very pleased with how smooth the scheduling process went and how accommodating they were with my busy work schedule. I was seen by two providers (let's say provider 1 and provider 2 for privacy purposes). Provider 1 was very helpful by discovering a baseline and developing a course of action to strengthen some of the weaker aspects of my body. Provider 1 communicated with me that they were going to be out of town for 2 weeks. They also recommended that I were to be seen 2x a week for 4 weeks. So a different provider was assigned to me in their absence. A couple of days later provider 2 saw me for the first time and we discussed my history again. As soon as they were finished doing a basic adjustment with me they mentioned they typically spend their first appointment with a patient discussing history to later develop a plan. Do providers not refer to prior patient notes at all? Wouldn't have provided 1 laid out a game plan for provider 2 to pick up at? They proceeded to tell me that they would continue to address my concerns at the next appointment. Forget about it. My job only covers 12 appointments a year and I was finished with wasting my time. Major logistical issues. Why would provider 1 be assigned to me if they knew they were going to be gone? That ruins the streamline for continuity. Provider 2 didn't seem to even mention any of my concerns and when it comes to my health and wellbeing I would rather spend time elsewhere.
