They removed my review. It was kinda a non review because I know nothing about insulation. The only bad thing was they drove on my lawn.

I had a very good experience with Freedom Air when it came time for me to replace my entire…read moreair-conditioning system. I live in a condo beachside, so our systems are exposed to a lot of the elements which can significantly age them overtime. Especially the outside rooftop unit. My air conditioner was an old Rheem work horse that had been there since 05. The roof unit continued struggling to remain operational although time and weathering had taken its toll. The inside unit was a beast, very dependable, but was beginning to fail and would only run for a few seconds at a time. After having performed by a few other companies I decided to go with freedom. I noticed on their website they advertised a veterans special giveaway contest that you could enter. Several of my friends filled out the form and recommended me to be entered into the contest as I am a military veteran . After not hearing anything for sometime, I gave them a call and inquired about it but nobody knew anything about the "contest" and said that the website has not been updated for sometime. Either way I had them come out and write out an estimate, which also included a number of features of follow up maintenance and inspections etc. As expected, as any business would, they would suggest the highest in unit system to be installed. However I elected to go with the less expensive system which was still a solid system with a great reputation for reliability and longevity. So you can expect to pay anywhere between $7000-$15,000 depending on how much of an area you need coverage for and how much you are willing to spend. Obviously the end systems would last longer income with more features etc. The crew arrived and wasted no time removing the old system from inside the home and on the roof. A crane was brought out to bring the new unit up and onto the roof which is only two stories fortunately. After the air handler inside my home was removed, closet was cleaned and prepped. The new unit installed, and fresh coat applied everywhere, and sealed to ensure efficiency. After all installation was complete, the crew performed a number of test on the roof and inside the home to ensure the unit was working properly and at peak efficiency. Very professional and knowledgeable crew who seem to really care about their work because it has their name on it. They gave me $1000 discount for being a veteran. Out the door was around $7000. For me, worth every penny because of the quality of their installation and knowledge of their craft. The system has been in for a few months now without any issues, I'm saving more money and it's peace of mind as summer will be here before you know it!

It all started one night with some Very Loud Thumping in the attic. Poltergist? Unlikely. Raccoon?…read moreMost likely. Who ya gonna call? Well after some online research, these guys. We opted out of emergency weekend service and instead left the lights on.in the attic all weekend. They came and inspected and sure enough, a raccoon had been there and rats. They installed a one way trap for the raccoon, as I didn't want it euthanized, rat traps and duct tape to further verify what kind of critters were taking up residence and sealed off every possible entrance. I also decided to have them re-insulate the attic as said critters had pretty much torn it up, plus left unsanitary messes. They completed the job in one day and the attic looks great now! Plus the "eviction" had worked, as there was no fur on the tape (they checked several days in a row.)

I cannot recommend Critter Control based on my experience…read more I hired Critter Control for attic remediation, wildlife exclusion, and insulation replacement. Critter Control subcontracted the insulation work to Sun Insulation. The exclusion work was completed, but the insulation installation was canceled on the scheduled day due to the subcontractor's equipment failure. This left us without insulation during a Florida summer and forced us to scramble to find another company on the eve of a holiday weekend. We ultimately had to pay for a hotel because our home was not ready to occupy. What disappointed me most was not the equipment failure itself. Unexpected problems happen. It was how Critter Control handled the situation afterward. The owner never returned my calls. The insulation company's manager never returned my calls. The office staff repeatedly minimized the impact of the cancellation. I was told that because I had rescheduled an appointment weeks earlier, after a vendor that was scheduled to complete work that needed to be completed before the insulation could be replaced was delayed due to a car accident, that this situation was somehow my responsibility. The discussion repeatedly focused on how quickly the exclusion work had been completed while largely ignoring that the insulation portion of the project--the reason the house was uninhabitable--was never completed by their subcontractor. Critter Control eventually agreed to reimburse one hotel night, which I appreciate. However, they refused to remove or adjust the bundled warranty despite the fact that I no longer have confidence in using their company in the future. The office manager just kept repeating "You signed the estimate." When I said that I signed it in good faith that it came with at least a basic level of customer service, she simply kept repeating herself. Legally, she is correct. But it was certainly poor business practices. Throughout this process, even before things went wrong, I felt like I had to manage the project myself rather than having the company take ownership of the customer experience. Multiple phone calls went unreturned and the team at Critter Control did nothing to help facilitate communication with the subcontractor they chose. The biggest lesson I learned is that when you hire Critter Control, you are also depending on the performance of their subcontractors. If something goes wrong, don't assume you'll receive proactive communication or have easy access to company leadership. I sincerely hope others have a better experience than I did, but based on mine, I would not hire this company again.

He Inspected the entire attic which was not an easy job due to my roof design. Once completed, he told me that everything was up to code and in good condition and nothing had to be done. He will have my business in the future if needed and I urge everyone who sees this to please contact him. Thank you Greg, you are one of the good guys.

He came out and brought a 2 x 4 sheet of Thermafiber SAFB. After measuring he gave me quote. I told him what we wanted and why. He told "this is the best and will do the job". I had to hire a drywaller to remove my old drywall so the new Thermafiber could be installed. Drywaller came did the tear out. (good job). Central Florida came put a 3" sheet and a 1 1/2" over top the 3" sheet (total of 4 1/2") in our wall. Again, Greg said "this should sound proof the wall". Drywaller came back and finished the drywall (good job). Late that after noon the neighbor got a little loud, stero and singing but nothing more than usual. The problem,,,,,The Thermafiber DID NOTHING to reduce the sound. It is worthless. Greg said he has more than 15 years in insulation and Thermafiber SAFB is the best. If Greg would have told me the sound reduction product may or may not work I could have decided base on may or may not and would have to bitch's. But again, "this is the best and will do the job". This was very costly for NO RESULTS. This product is WORTHLESS and Greg isn't as knowledgeable as he seems to think he is or is he? Mitch Rohlman Sebring,Fl.
