We came to this area for Sight and Sound and we were just looking for Italian dinner. We are from Maryland and when we saw this little restaurant off the side of road, we where skeptical. Wow! What a wonderful place to eat authentic Italian food! Everything was so good! I especially loved the garlic knot rolls. The owner was especially kind and very fun to talk to and we connected with him right away. We drove five hours to go to Sight and Sound theater and this was the perfect place for a quiet meal for my husband and me after seeing the show. I've had my fair share of some really good New York slices, so when I was visiting Lancaster with my family, I was curious to try Capricio's upon reading the Yelp reviews. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza was! The pasta with broccoli, chicken, garlic & oil was also very delicious; my kids devoured it. Cheesesteak was also very good. Love this place. I got a massive cheese steak for $8. The roll was excellent, filled with tons of steak, the cheese was melted throughout the meat, and I had them add some sweet peppers for good measure. Add to that the folks there were as friendly as could be. If is tucked behind the Turkey Hill in Smoketown but is definately worth the effort to find. I come here often due to family in the area, and will be back. I need to try their strombolis. read more

Stopped in here tonight (Wednesday) because most other places had closed. This may be common knowledge to locals, as we're not from here, but this is a hidden gem! What a nice little place! Great food, great atmosphere! I had shrimp fettuccine alfredo and my husband had veal parmigiana with spaghetti. Both meals came with huge salads and really delicious homemade garlic knots. The chef came out to see if we liked our meals. Both he and the waitress were wonderful. He even came out and sat down to talk with us for awhile about things to do in the area. We will definitely come back again when we're in Lancaster!!! read more

We're on a family vacation from Washington DC. After a day at Dutch Wonderland, we knew the kids would eat pizza... we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza! Ordered a pizza and calamari last night . The pizza was just ok. We've ordered here before and liked it and as said it was just ok this time . the pizza did not have enough sauce or cheese. thank goodness we ordered it with pepperoni and anchovies which gave the pizza some taste. the calamari was horrible!! when we took the container out of the bag it had a very "fishy" smell. tasted it and no taste whatsoever !! the sauce it came with was tasteless as well. was it a canned tomato sauce?? ate only 2 of the calamari (i tasted one and my husband tasted the other) . the rest ended up in trash . I probably would have been better ordering somewhere else. Will not return here again . read more

We have ordered from here about 6 times. Found it satisfactory. Tonight we order 24 hot wings - crispy and onion rings. The wings had zero sauce on them, were very undercooked and the onion rings were undercooked. Yuck. read more

We ordered takeout from this place for the very first time this evening using their website. We got a text confirming our order and my husband went to pick up our order. Upon arrival, he was told that they no longer serve hamburgers, however we were allowed to select it on their online ordering and it's also featured in their menu. Rather than calling us and telling us those were not available they waited until we got to the restaurant to tell us that we had to choose something different. This resulted in everybody else's food being cold because now we had to wait for them to make us something new. A restaurant is free to change their menu at any time, but honestly calling the customer as soon as you see that you cannot fufill the order is way better than waiting till they come to pick up the order to tell them. The dishes we received were cold and limp probably from being put into a plastic container and sat under a heat lamp. They were completely inedible. Our order of fettuccine was clumped together and crusty from sitting. Once was enough for me we will not be ordering from here again. read more

Staying in Lancaster for two days and this place looked like it had a good menu. So glad to have chosen it. Food was excellent and home made with fresh ingredients. Sauces were wonderful.
