I love pizza with the passion of a thousand fiery suns. Capricio's is close to the top of my list of favorite pizza. (Not the very top. No, that honor is reserved for a little pizza place named Sal's in Denton, Maryland, which closed down a few years ago but remains forever etched on my tastebuds.) The service at Capricio's is friendly and efficient. The lady who answered phones, managed payments, served foods, and bussed tables was quite pleasant despite being super busy with customers and take-out orders. We ordered way too much food: pizza, fried ravioli, chicken wings, fries, and more. The fried ravioli was just okay and the wings were solidly average. The fries needed salted, but I was grateful they were not seasoned/battered. Nothing came out at the same time, but everything came out piping hot. Now, I'm the kind of person who will get up in the middle of a meal to microwave my food, so I appreciated the food being served to us straight from the fryer. In a more formal setting gathered with more formal people, I would have preferred our meals to arrive at the table simultaneously. But for a casual family dinner where we're all just strapping on our feed bags, dishing it out HOT as it gets done from the kitchen was total awesomeness. Capricio's pizza was fantastic. The crust was the perfect combination of chewy and crisp. I could have made a meal from crusts alone. The sauce was flavorful with a hint of sweetness, and the cheese was ample without being overloaded. The mushrooms were canned, but there was a ton of them. (Note: Both Big Daddy and Kid #1 felt more cheese was needed, but myself and Kid #2 thought the amount of cheese was perfect.) My only complaint: The place could use a deep cleaning, including dusting the blinds and wiping the windows. I definitely plan to get another pizza from Capricio's as soon as possible. read more

Went in today for a late lunch. They had pepperoni and sausage ready so I got two slices of that. Nothing has changed, still some of the best pizza I have ever had. This review is based on our first-time dinner take home order. Definitely more like a 4 1/2 star meal than a simple 4 star. First I must comment on the staff. My granddaughter has picked up Door Dash orders from here prior to our placing our own order and she says that the service and personnel are always beyond friendly, making her feel very welcomed in their establishment. Now on to our food. We ordered fried mushrooms, fried ravioli, and pierogis as appetizers. The mushrooms were juicy, with a delicious crispy coating. The ravioli and pierogis were cooked perfectly. The portions were generous too. The stars of the show were our main courses. An order of spaghetti with sausage was enormous, easily divided into 3 meals once a side order of (3 golf ball sized) meatballs was added to the dish. As for the sausage (sliced thin like pepperoni), every time I thought I had found all the pieces, my fork would pull up several more. There is a little heat to the sausage, but not overpowering. The sauce, which was plentiful, was fresh tasting and absolutely delicious. Lasagna was the other main course. My granddaughter loved it. Her only tiny complaint is that she would have liked more cheese on it. She is a huge cheese lover. Final mention is the salad and garlic knots that come with the main courses. The salad is a winner with large slices of cucumber and plenty of tomatoes. The star here is those garlic knots. I am often disappointed in garlic knots or garlic bread that I order because of the timid use of the garlic and/or the butter. This is not a problem here. The knots have a crispy exterior, but a soft interior that screams garlic. I'll order extra of them the next time. One final note... the prices are amazing. You get more than your money's worth here. 2nd Review: If you will notice, I have changed my review from 4 1/2 to 5 stars. The reason is simple. We have visited twice more since our first visit and each visit has been even better than the last. A second shout out to the staff of this wonderful place. They go above and beyond in customer satisfaction. With our second visit, they were out of the fried ravioli ordered online. To make up for it, they gave my granddaughter not one but two other appetizers (bruschetta & fried mushrooms ) that she thoroughly enjoyed. With our third order, I made a special request online for 'heavy on the butter and garlic' for the garlic knots. That is exactly what I got and I loved every bite. Items we got for the second visit consisted of 2 personal sized pizzas (build your own and Hawaiian), eggplant parmesan, and pasta salad as well as some repeats of the first visit. For the third visit we got a veal parmesan, chicken parmesan, and an American burger with repeats of some items again. Once again, the prices are amazing, especially when you see the portion size which we easily make 2 and sometimes 3 meals from. The pizzas are as large as what most places would call a medium sized pizza and the crust was both chewy and soft... Delicious. The toppings were generous too. The spaghetti and sauce that comes with the parmesan meals are a meal unto themselves. Best of all is just how rich these sauces are. They are loaded with flavor. But now a special word about the hamburger. I have never had one better or quite like it before. Rather than a round patty with a round bun, this came as a long, very thick patty on a tender soft hoagie or french roll. It was beyond delicious and again was 2 servings, not one. Capricios has now taken over the #1 spot for our Italian cuisine meals in the future. We can hardly wait to try other options on the menu. Bon Appetit! read more

To start off, this is a pizza place, but does have a seating area. You order at the counter. The food is very good. Our party had two. Two of us had chicken parm dinners. Both people really enjoyed their meals. Comes with side of spaghetti and garlic knots. And it was a large portion. The other two in our party had a chicken Ceasars wrap and pizza. Again both enjoyed their meals. The pizza is very good. If we lived in the area we would definitely go back all the time. And the owner/cook and the young girl at the counter are very friendly. We arrived to our hotel on a Friday night and were tired from our busy day, so we simply wanted to order pizza. We found this place online and it was close to our hotel. The online ordering was easy and the menu was extensive. We ordered a meat lovers pan pizza, a lasagna pizza and some garlic knots. My husband went to pick up the pizza because it was a little quicker. The pizza was picked up and it was hot and ready when he arrived. The pan pizza was interesting. It had very little toppings, and it was a very thick crust, but overall the flavor was good. The garlic knots were basic, but had good flavor. Our favorite thing, however, was the lasagna pizza. Do yourself a favor and stop here for a slice of pizza, a calzone, chicken parm, or any other traditional Italian dish you can think of. I can't tell you how many horrible and mediocre pizza joints my family went through during the few months when Capricio's closed to move from it's former spot on Route 30 to the new Smoketown location. We're just so happy they're open again! There are tons of choices, so I come here frequently for lunch, and I've been really pleased with everything I've tried. The pizza is definitely one of my favorites - big, thin slices that remind me of some of my favorite pizza places in New York. They come with every topping imaginable - the typical Italian toppings and more modern American combos. The white pizza is incredible, as is the Caprico (tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil). Other common lunch options include the chicken bacon ranch, buffalo chicken, and Hawaiian. (That's right, with pineapple. Deal with it. And get a side of garlic or pepperoni knots knots.) I've been slowly trying other menu items, but when you walk in and see all those pizzas at the counter, fresh out of the oven, its hard to pass them by. However, the calzones, chicken parm, and cheesesteaks are definitely worth checking out, but bring your appetite - these are healthy servings at reasonable prices. He is friendly as can be and really hustled to prepare our pizza. We had a medium sized "meat lover's"... MIGHTY GOOD! There were lots of customers at other tables as well as a steady stream of customers coming and going with "carry out" orders. Prices are extremely reasonable, too! Went on a Saturday around 4:30ish for dinner. It was really nice food and a great atmosphere. They didn't have any music playing; which was nice. Sometimes restaurant music is too loud you can't even talk to who you're sitting with. Our food came out pretty soon after it was ordered. It was very delicious. It was also really nicely priced! Our waitress was very kind and answered any questions we had about the menu items. The bread and pizza we ordered wasn't served with plates; which was a little difficult for eating pizza. We had to wait to ask for plates when the waitress came back to check on us after eating most of our meal. When we received our check, we waited around for a good bit of time. We weren't aware if we were supposed to wait for the waitress to come get it or if we were to go to the front and pay. After waiting awhile for our waitress, we got up and paid at the front. A group of 9 of my family ate here while we were in town for a visit to Lancaster. There is not a lot of dining-in space and the tables are packed very closely together. We squeezed into two tables that were next to each other. It's an order at the counter and they bring the food to you type of service. We had pizza, calzone, and pasta alfredo between the table. The large pizza and the calzone were huge and the bowl of pasta was equally large. We enjoyed the food very much. The workers were not that friendly and seemed put out by requests like having ice in the fountain soda machine or when asked for extra plates, or to-go boxes.
